Vacationing in Egypt for the first time. We chose it at the pace of a waltz, because plans for a vacation changed dramatically. They did the right thing by not going to the travel agency immediately with the money. At first they listened, looked at the advertisement and sort of chose it, but after reading the reviews, I got sick of going to the hotel that was offered at first. In the end, we settled on Sofitel, because. wanted a relaxing holiday, and his agent advertised as a holiday with small children.
The hotel is small and cozy. Rooms are small with air conditioning and TV. Clean and bright, overlooking the sea or the park. In some places you can see that the hotel is more than 10 years old. For us it was not important. We were not going to sit in the room.

The food in the main restaurant is rather monotonous and is designed for tourists from Europe. But as for me, the choice is sufficient to try something else almost daily. From fruits bananas and oranges. I saw grapes only already on the plates, who came early.
Drinks are mostly yupi, water, cold hibiscus and fanta sprite, local wine (dry) and tea and coffee (a la scoop-canteen, rare).
The staff is friendly, courteous and discreet. Attitude towards guests is even, regardless of the tip. That is why tipping is nice.
Of the minuses: once they didn’t put water in the room (4 bottles remained in the refrigerator), there are quite a lot of gobies and pieces of paper on the beach and I don’t know what’s to blame: Rousseau-tourist, or the wind, but I never saw cleaning on the beach. At the hotel, the beach is divided by a scythe into two bays: one where you can go, the second is a reef where the fish are. So here the coast is abundantly "decorated" with plastic debris. It wasn't removed either. : ( (that's why I put "4")
Another minus: the kiosk with balls was closed at 17-00, although it was possible to swim in the pool until sunset (18-00 - 18-30), and the sun was still quite hot until 16-30. For this, too, "minus".
And the last minus is connected with "ours". What is the habit of taking sunbeds? ! Run in the morning to throw in the towel and then come back in the evening. . . I'm shocked (although I confess, because of the mass nature of the phenomenon, I had to do the same). . . Although if leaving everyone would release a sun lounger, then coming back in 80% of cases I would find another one on the very shore. And so. . .
Animation. There is nothing to compare with, but we liked it. The kids were delighted with "babu"-dance - 15 minutes of dancing with "Babu" : ), then slow dancing, sometimes to songs with a backing track, a small performance and a disco on the beach.
