Отель хороший, но... The hotel is good but...

We often travel to Egypt, we have visited many hotels and we know Hurghada inside and out. I often read hotel reviews and in many ways they really help tourists choose a hotel and navigate the area))). So. . . Sofitel was our favorite hotel, now it's not the same hotel as it was two years ago. In order:
1. About the accommodation - the rooms are normal, nothing has changed in two years, no repairs were made. Although everything is decent - clean, everything works, hot water without interruption, a safe, a balcony, a minibar, etc. Cleaned normally, bedding and towels are changed, they put some water. All buildings are named according to the signs of the zodiac. I recommend choosing "Sagittarius" - closest to the pool, bars and the sea, in short, everything is side by side. Upon arrival, bring a present to the reception (a box of our sweets, a souvenir, well, in general, decide for yourself) the reaction will be amazing))))
2. The sea - the coastline is the best in Hurghada. Firstly, the hotel is closed from the north wind, which is very good. Secondly, a beautiful sandy entry into the sea (no safety shoes are needed), on the left there is a lagoon with sand there is shallow and very good for little children. If you go into the sea from the lagoon and swim quite a bit, you will find a gorgeous coral reef, and a living one, which stretches parallel to the shore along a wild beach, there are a lot of outlandish fish. We met a small shark, stingrays, moray eels, a pilot, large needle fish, etc. The beach itself is cozy, there are always enough sunbeds. Mask, snorkel and fins can be rented where towels are available, free of charge. Boccia and volleyball on the beach. There is nothing to do at the beach bar - there is no beer, but there is whiskey, rum, tequila and yuppies. Horror (((for some reason, the Arabs decided that in the morning on the beach you need to drink rum and drink yuppies !!!

3. The pool is not heated, but heating is not needed. Warms up well. The bar near the pool is ordinary - you can have a bite to eat pizza, fries, chips and ice cream. They make some cocktails, I didn’t drink - I don’t know! Wet towels after the beach and pool are changed without question.
4. Food - the pathos of Sofitel in serving dishes is gone, there is no beauty and feeling of a restaurant. The food is normal, even delicious in principle... sometimes. The choice of dishes became more clear to us, namely, several types of side dishes (potatoes, rice, pasta), meat in the range (chicken or quail), beef and lamb, fish and squid. A couple of times there were crabs on the grill. Breakfast is standard, as in all hotels + milk rice porridge (which is good for small children). Fruits are enough: melons, dates, grapefruits, oranges, guava, pomegranates. There are many desserts, but they are monotonous. There were not enough tables for everyone, but a couple of minutes of waiting in principle is not a problem.
5. There are many sports entertainments, but after 6 pm there is nothing to do in the hotel!!!!! ! I really liked the sauna - like at home!
6. There is no animation, it seems to be there, but it is not there !!!!
According to the description, everything... Advice to tourists - choose Ultra all inclusive, then you will have access to the Ultra bar, and this is the only worthy bar. There are delicious cocktails, imported alcohol, fresh juice and normal brewed coffee, and it works until 12 am. In the ultra bar, the best bartender is Ammar. Befriend him. Give him a tip - it will pay off!! ! Ultra also gives you one free trip to Hurghada and back, a surf lesson, one massage, dinner at a fish restaurant and a stocked mini bar.
P. S. The old Sofitel died, but the new one is not the same... For the first trip, it's still 4, but I won't go there again !!! !
