Arrived in Sofitel after a cruise on the Nile. My wife and I chose the hotel for quite a long time, read reviews on the Internet and consulted with friends, the key points for us were animation, wide all-inclusive and territory. I want to say that we were not mistaken and had a good time in this hotel.
The hotel is located near the airport, about 10 minutes drive. There is a wild beach on both sides of the hotel. Hurghada can be reached by shuttle bus (2 times a day from the hotel) or by minibus.

They placed us in 5 minutes (filled out the questionnaire) and we received an envelope with the keys and the necessary ones. We did not invest money in the passport.
The room was on the second floor in building 16. Medium-sized room, two large single beds, large wardrobe, sofa, coffee table, mini-bar, safe, TV, individual air conditioning.
The bathroom has a shower, hair dryer, a huge mirror, everything you need is there. Furniture and fixtures are not new, but in good condition. There is a fairly spacious balcony. In the minibar, 2 half-liter bottles of water per person per day.
On the territory of the hotel: the main restaurant, 2 a la carte: oriental "Omar" - one dinner for free and fish "Marina sea food" - with non-child prices: ). There is an oriental cafe (hookah) "Omar cafe", the main bar "Azur", a bar by the pool and a bar on the beach. There is a grill restaurant "Summertime BBQ" but it was closed during our visit. There is a disco from 22.30 - "Sharkis Disco" - quite spacious, in which there is a bar and snacks (free of charge). The waiters are friendly everywhere, they understand Russian, no one demanded a tip.
During the rest we took advantage of the special offer of the laundry and were very satisfied. There is a delivery service for food and drinks in the room - for a fee.
Animation is a huge plus of this hotel. From 9 am by the pool until the last client at the disco : ).
From entertainment and sports in the hotel: belly dancing, archery, minigolf, dance lessons, boccia, sometimes a show on the beach (we saw a show with snakes), there is a ranch with a camel, a donkey and 7-8 horses. Every day at 18.30 a cocktail with a mini-performance, at 21.30 - an evening show, at 22.30 - a disco (at the dicotheque we were at a fakir show, it was scary, but I liked it very much: ). Sports: beach volleyball, water polo, tennis, football, aqua aerobics, squash, table tennis, fitness center (sauna, hammam, jacuzzi, decent gym - free of charge, various types of massage). There is a diving and water sports center on site.
They work with children all the time, there is a children's club (from 9 to 17), a children's disco (Dancing with Babu). Child friendly is a big plus for this hotel. There is a children's table.
The pool in the hotel is one, heated, during our stay the temperature in it was about 28 degrees. It includes water aerobics and water polo. Depth - 1 - 2.3 m.

Carcade is constantly available (very tasty). Every day, fish, meat, kebab, chicken, and crabs were cooked on the grill for dinner on the street.
Delicious ice cream is available at the pool bar from 10 o'clock. In the same place for lunch you can eat shawarma, french fries, hamburgers, pizza.
The staff at the hotel is friendly, many understand Russian, they are always interested - how are you, is everything okay, are there any problems. The room was cleaned well. The service in the bars and restaurant is also top notch. Nobody asked for a tip.
