And yes, the holiday was a success! We arrived on December 14 at 7:05, got to the hotel at 8:40. Booked a room with garden view. Check-in was scheduled as elsewhere at 14:00. But 20 American presidents did a good deed - at 10:00 they put on bracelets and settled in a room on the last 3rd floor (as requested) in a house on the 1st line from the sea overlooking the beach and the sea. The room is pretty good: relatively fresh renovation, everything worked flawlessly. Very comfortable bed, mattress and pillows. They cleaned normally, changed linen, replenished shampoos, soap, paper, water, etc. In gratitude, he left $ 1 - baksheesh. Immediately at the bar we had a modest breakfast and went to the beach. The hotel was almost completely filled, many Ukrainians, Germans, Belarusians, Egyptians (cultural), Italians, Poles. "Tagil" was not met, which was very pleasing.

The air temperature was +23... +25C, water +24C. In the evening, of course, +16... +18C. At night it dropped to +13C. For a couple of days a slight breeze blew, which drove the wave a little and made the water ripple.

But behind the screens it was comfortable. The beach is sandy with a smooth entry, you can do without coral slippers. There were always enough sunbeds for everyone. The animators worked great all day and evening, there were various entertainments on the beach (dancing, music, learning different dances, yoga, bocce, volleyball, etc. ). But I hardly participated, having fun with gin and tonic (before dinner) and tequila after it. The food was good, there were occasionally shrimp, squid, quail, some kind of fish stewed and fried. Always in assortment chicken, veal, beef in all manifestations. Lamb once, kebab several times. Various fresh vegetables (good tomatoes, cucumbers), canned (I liked green olives), salads. I won’t talk about the sweet table - everything is very beautiful and, probably, tasty (if not for my diabetes ... ). Fruits: delicious oranges, grapefruits, dates, pomegranates, persimmons for breakfast early in the morning, but small and hard. Melons are green and not tasty.
Were free in three a la carte restaurants: Asian, Egyptian, Italian. Before going to these restaurants, just in case, they made the first dinner in the main restaurant. And they were definitely right once - in Asian everything was very sharp. I only managed to eat tiger shrimp out of the soup, a couple of pieces of chicken, a fried banana and ice cream. The waiter was very sympathetic to us; -) and poured water into the glasses. The other two restaurants have quite normal food.

We went on a sightseeing tour of Hurghada (mosque, marina, Nefertiti perfume / oil shop, supermarket with fixed prices). We regretted that we lost almost a day (from 9:00 to 14:30). We only had time to swim in the pool at sunset (water + 30C). Also for the whole day we went on an excursion to El Gouna (Egyptian Venice, taken from a hotel guide, bargaining for $ 50 per person). I don't regret it, quite the contrary. We rode boats along the canals, walked along one of the islands, sat in a cafe (for a fee).
We had a delicious lunch with seafood on the yacht. They swam as best they could in the open sea (fins, masks, vests and even wetsuits are given for an additional fee). The water is clear, corals and fish are visible. They promised to swim with dolphins, but probably the latter would swim with us and didn’t even want to see us. We took a ride in a bathyscaphe - a lot of dead corals, but there were also beautiful, living ones. Ride on the "banana" and "tablet". We returned to the hotel around 17:00 (we left at 8:00).

Every evening there was a show in the lobby (the amphitheater was under renovation). But it's even better - closer to the speakers. Animators danced as the opening act. The main performance by invited artists: the singer sang well, I liked the dance shows of the pharaohs (cool costumes) and Brazilian dances. There was also a competition for the title of "Mr. Merkur Hurghada". Funny. The Ukrainian guy won (and we helped him a little by dancing in his team).

And do not leave the door to the room open even at the request of the attendants (they always have their own universal keys).

The rest is wonderful, but 7 days is not enough!

P. S. Wi-Fi is only available at the reception and is very poor! ! ! Buy SIM cards from a local operator at the exit at the airport (for example, Orange 10GB $9 on your passport).
