Hello dear travel lovers. I want to share with you some information about the Mercury Hotel. I think my review will be a useful addition to the previous reviews.
I stayed at this hotel with my husband and 1 year old son. In general, the impressions are good, but there are some "buts" that definitely will not suit those people who are not the first in Egypt.

We flew through the operator Tez Tour. There are no special complaints about him, since I chose the hotel myself. We took off from Kyiv without much delay by Airbus 321, a comfortable brand new plane with an excellent pilot, we did not feel any takeoff or landing, this is important since my baby was flying for the first time.
We arrived at the hotel around 7pm. They placed us immediately after filling out the cards. The rooms are all the same, the only difference is the view from the window. Everything is after repair, so if the panorama is not important to you, you should not change it. We changed closer to the pool and the sea, no problem. The staff is really friendly and accommodating.
The territory of the hotel is very beautiful, well-groomed and green.
The sea is gorgeous, this is the main attraction of Mercury. The entrance to the sea is good sandy. After a few meters you can already swim. The fauna is certainly not "so hot" but there is something to see. It is necessary to swim closer to the pier, there are more fish there. As for sun loungers, the first coastline is always busy!! ! : ) No matter how much I tried to sunbathe on the first sunbeds, I never succeeded, what time people occupy them, I did not understand. I got up at first at 6, then at 5.30, once even at 5 . . it was useless. Then she "scored" and took at the beginning of the seventh.
And now the most important thing is food. There are a lot of comments here, but not to the food, but to the restaurant, I would not even call it a restaurant, more like a dining room!! ! Constant queues, especially in the evening, some people even had to wait until they were allowed to eat! For such a large number of people (we got to the full workload of the hotel) one restaurant is not enough!!!
As for the food, they cook deliciously, I liked it, the breakfasts are monotonous, cereals, omelettes, eggs, sausage and cheese are not the best, but people ate. There are few fruits. Oranges, melon, dates, dried apricots and prunes were given a couple of times. I took grapes out of cakes. . : ) Lunch and dinner is ok, there was always meat, often barbecue, fried fish, and even squid. There were enough vegetables. I liked sweets, pastries too, but last time I was in the "Golden five city" there buns and cakes are no match for these !!!
The bar near the pool is very cool french fries, shawarma and pizza.
Drinks are tolerable, alcohol, I don’t know, I drank only light cocktails....
So those people who are not afraid of the queue can easily go here. Another plus is that you can take food with you.
Another little nuisance - we were not given a cake for our little one's birthday, but they promised... They forgot along the way . . But this is not essential... Although it was not pleasant.
The contingent of the people - older people, there are young people, but not enough. Lots of couples with kids. By the way, they have good animation, every evening there is a disco. During the day, all sorts of classes, body painting...
If you want to go on excursions, do not take them from the guide!! ! And do not see that only on the first day and only for you a 5% discount. This is a divorce. Guys will come up to you on the beach and will offer excursions for every taste!! ! You can bargain. : ) Definitely cheaper by 20-40 dollars!! ! Another feature of the guides is a free trip to the city for souvenirs, also only on the first day! They kind of take people to state-owned stores that don't pay rent, they supposedly have the lowest prices. . . DIVORCE!! ! Since we have already been to Hurghada and know the prices, we were shocked!! ! The prices are 3 times more expensive! If you want to buy something as a gift or as a keepsake, only Hurghada!! ! By taxi - $ 4 one way, it can be cheaper, by minibus 5 pounds for two one way ($ 1) And do not hesitate to bargain - you can bring down the price by more than half !!!
