I stayed at Grand Horizon Resort for 9 days 8 nights. Before leaving, I read reviews on various sites. I will not say that I was afraid to go to this hotel, because. anyway, there was no choice.
Upon arrival at the hotel after half an hour we were settled in a room (although we were given the opportunity to choose from 6 options). ROOM. We chose the room in the old building with "golden elevators" on the 4th floor overlooking the pool and grounds. The room is generally ok (no frills). True, during our stay there the lights went out several times (as I understand it happens in the hotel from time to time) and we had to call an electrician. This created inconvenience, especially in the evening when I wanted to take a shower and dry my hair. Either their electrician is stupid, or their equipment is worn out, but there was little sense. A day or two later, the situation repeated itself. The water in the shower was constantly both cold and hot, the safe and air conditioning worked (the refrigerator was stubbornly silent, but we didn’t need it), the room was cleaned normally (we didn’t leave a tip). The staff at the reception and in the buildings are pretty good: they didn’t impose, they weren’t rude, they didn’t extort tips (it’s nice). There were no problems with the Russian language.
TERRITORY. The hotel area is not very big, but quite nice and clean. The pool is nice, clean, there is a children's section. True, the water is cool (although they write that it is heated in winter). There is a public toilet by the pool, pretty decent. (This is very convenient: no need to run to the room). Music is constantly playing and animation is running. Of the animators, I liked Michael (Cabo) the most. Ksyusha and Polina are there "for furniture". There is no sense from them, only tourists go and agitate for discos in the city. By the way, I don't recommend it. They promised a foamy disco, but they brought it to the beach with sand. People were very dissatisfied with such frank swindle. And do not believe that for 10 dollars there will be all inclusive. For this money you can only enter this disco. It's better to stay at the hotel and dance from the heart and drink whatever you want and smoke a hookah.

NUTRITION. The hotel has 3 restaurants: main (breakfast, dinner), beach restaurant (lunch) and Italian restaurant (dinner). Food is generally normal (no worse than in other Egyptian hotels). There were no such terrible queues (as they wrote here): we didn’t rush to the very opening, but came a little later. Crockery, cups, cutlery always ENOUGH. Maybe 2 times in all the time I had to wait 5 minutes for a cup (this is nothing). In general, the queues were always created by the tourists themselves, because. stand where they do not need at all and do not know what they want. Why would I stand behind salads I don't want. I take a plate and go to the dish that I will eat. Vegetables have always been tomatoes, cucumbers, lettuce, carrots. From fruits: oranges, dates, tangerines, grapefruit (not always), apples, melon, strawberries (not always). Pretty bearable. The pastries are very tasty and varied. I didn't like pancakes. Rice, chicken, meat, kebab, meatballs, fish, potatoes - everything is edible and quite tasty.
The reception has 2 computers with Internet access (free of charge! ).
BEACH. For such a large hotel, the beach is really small. If you didn’t take a good place in the sun in the morning, then by 9 o’clock there are almost no empty seats. And since the sea is clean, warm, the staff constantly goes to collect garbage and glasses. In the bar you can take diluted juices, beer, non-alcoholic cocktails, water. One big drawback in the work of all the bars in the hotel: they give 2 glasses in hand and it is useless for them to prove that they are a big company. They are unshakable.
Pleasure boats depart from the pier on the beach, BUT there is no greasy film on the sea and fuel oil on the sand !!! ! The Egyptians are very protective of their Red Sea (thanks to it and the pyramids, they attract tourists). Judge for yourself: if the sea were so actively polluted, would there be colorful fish, corals and other beauty there? NO! And the pipe that goes into the sea to the left of the beach is not a sewer discharge (as they wrote here). In general, I am surprised: one must have such a sick imagination! They should write science fiction!! ! As far as we understood: sea water is pumped through these pipes to the slides in the aqua center under construction at the hotel. The center is still under construction, but the slides are already standing and they are turned on once a day so that those who wish can ride. I didn’t ride, but my son and girl went to the slides. You can also take non-motor vehicles on the beach: catamarans and kayaks - for free.

ENTERTAINMENT. Every day during the day there are aerobics, exercises, step, in the evening entertainment shows on the second floor, and after the show every verer disco. The girl does not sing very well, but when they put on the disc, it's already better. But most of all in the evening we liked to dine in an Italian restaurant: good music plays there, waiters serve and the atmosphere is very cozy and inviting. Very cheerful and nice disc jockey at the console. Everyone there always celebrates birthdays. Those who wish can dance. In general: a real restaurant! We always ate there. The pizza is not superfood, but you can eat it. The children liked it. And there is always ice cream.
In general, I liked the rest. We got a great company and the vacation flew by like one day! Didn't want to leave at all!
In conclusion, I will say: the hotel is building another building, and on the beach of the aquatic center. Construction is always dirt and debris (but only in the construction zone). Take it philosophically. Do not go to the construction site and do not take pictures of it in order to scare tourists later. It is better to take pictures of the hotel, the territory and the sea. There are many nice places there. For those who are going to this hotel: if you are positive, not a bore and you are going to rest, then go ahead! All the shortcomings of the hotel will not prevent you from having a good vacation on the Red Sea. The main thing is to smile more often and the Arabs will reciprocate.
