We rested in Montillon with my husband and daughter from 29.06. 2011. to 06.07. 2011 It was the first time in Egypt, before we had repeatedly rested in Turkey in hotels of at least 5 stars. But this year, Turkey turned out to be a little expensive for us and we succumbed to the temptation to relax in the country of the pharaohs for an adequate tour price. Before the trip, we read so many negative things about the hotel that we went without much mood. We arrived at the hotel at 8 pm. Posted right away. But we didn't like the room they gave us (1611 if I'm not mistaken), because it was on the 2nd floor above the construction pit. The whole balcony is dusty, no view. Although we were assured that the construction was suspended (which turned out to be true), we asked to change the room for us. We were offered room 2902 on the fifth floor in the new building. The furniture is good, plumbing works properly. True, there is no balcony, but from the window the view of the entire hotel and the sea is in full view. We decided to stay in this room. We didn't pay for a replacement number. There was no hair dryer in the room and the TV remote did not work. We went to the reception, Marina from Ukraine and German Tatyana were on duty there. We were given a hair dryer for free, and the remote was fixed the next day. There were no more questions about the equipment of the room. They cleaned well, even without a tip they spun swans from towels for us, and when they left a dollar, they created a miracle from towels, daughter's bracelets and flower petals. We were amazed - in Turkish hotels with their ultra all inclusive, we have not seen this. Linen was changed twice in a week. soap and shampoo put only a couple of times - then of course they save. Water was put in the bar every day, the safe worked properly, I'm glad that the water and the safe are free. Since we lived on the 5th floor, we had to use the elevator - it's just a fairy tale 1000 and 1 night in the sense that while he arrives, you can read all the Arabic fairy tales. In other buildings, the elevators worked faster. The hotel itself is large, the territory is not small, but since there is nowhere to go in the evening (there is a continuous construction site in the city itself), we had to take pictures near every palm tree and sphinx available in the hotel. When we did not work a large pool, but they promised that from July 7 it will be opened. My daughter frolicked with pleasure in the water park - there are 4 children's and 4 adult slides. From the service left a double impression - the staff for the most part friendly, but there were a couple of moments when no one was in a hurry to help. So on the second day after meeting with the guide, we got to the beach after 10 o'clock. There were no towels. The workers promised to bring them "in 5 minutes" they actually brought them in an hour and a half. The people were indignant, demanded a manager, but there was only one answer to all claims - complain about the reception. This has never happened again, but the unpleasant aftertaste remained. As for the hotel guide from Coral Travel, we were supervised by Mahmud. At the first meeting, he spoke in detail and competently about the hotel, about the rules of conduct in the country. But the whole impression was spoiled by the obsession with which he did not demand, but simply extorted to buy excursions from him. And since we refused to buy them, we no longer existed for him, and other representatives of Coral decided all our questions. I would like to note the staff who work on the beach is Mutas, Mohamed, Mahmoud. They are not allowed to sit, undress, bathe. All day long they are in the sun, but at the same time they remain friendly and always help, fill the towel, pull the sunbed. By the way, there are difficulties with sunbeds. I did not see that someone would be left without a sunbed, but the first days we came to the beach after 10 o'clock and we got places quite remote from the water. This issue can be resolved in two ways: come to the beach at 7 o’clock (we once did this and were rewarded - several dolphins swam almost to the very shore) and you can also arrange an evening with beach fights and for a dollar or two they can borrow sunbeds for you in the place you need. I would like to note the work of the children's club - a Russian-speaking girl Katya works there. The kids love her very much, and she, in turn, amuses them from 10 to 12 o'clock. After lunch, the club is also open, but my daughter preferred to swim at this time and we did not take her to the club. There is animation in the hotel, maybe not very intrusive, but every evening after the children's disco there is a program for adults. I liked it, and my husband most often “waited out” this business in a bar. As for nutrition, the feeling of hunger never visited us. . The choice of dishes is almost exactly the same as in Turkish hotels. There has always been meat. There was chicken, beef (grilled liver, meatballs and sausages again on the grill) was fried fish. In the morning they were fed with scrambled eggs, pancakes, sausages, potatoes, pasta, rice were garnished, salads were present. For lunch, they constantly cooked pizza, be sure to grill something. You can also have dinner in an Italian restaurant, they also cooked good pizza, pasta, there was even lasagna. The choice of fruits was not pleasing. There were always cut oranges, dates (very tasty), about a day later melon and apples were added to them. Ice cream was served before dinner. What was a bit annoying in terms of food was the queue for food. Always had to stand up for the most delicious. But we treated it philosophically and did not particularly strain. Drinks were standard: cola, fanta, sprite, hibiscus, and diluted yuppie-type powders. From alcohol - beer, vodka, rum, gin, whiskey. Everything was diluted and poured a little bit at a time, but judging by the behavior of compatriots, many managed to achieve nirvana : ). Special mention should be made of the hotel's beach. . It consists of two parts, convenient for entering the sea. Sea urchins are available in large numbers. But they sit in rocks and corals farther from the shore. To be safe, we bought special shoes for $ 5, and tried not to stand on the stones. The water temperature was 28 degrees. We swam for an hour, did not want to go out. There are a lot of fish underwater, although the corals are probably dying off. An oil strip can be seen on the sand, especially in the evening when ships are moored. They are kicked out of the water somewhere at 17-40, they say that in the evening various bad fish rise from the depths and it’s better not to joke with it. We ourselves saw the lionfish from the pier (someone previously filmed it and posted it on the Internet). We went on an excursion to a paradise island. I liked it very much. Bought it from Amir on the beach. Of course, he embellished a little, but in general it was as he promised: the yacht was beautiful, the staff was polite, the food was good, and the reefs and the paradise island simply struck with their beauty. We even saw a pod of dolphins. Rest were very satisfied. The hotel earns its money in full. The only thing I want to note is that young people have nothing to do there. A hotel for a relaxing family holiday. Although if there is a desire to "festival" it is possible here.
