Autumn, the cold was approaching, and then at work there was an opportunity to take a vacation, there was not much time to think, I was traveling alone, choosing a cheaper hotel, I just wanted to go to the sea and decided that convenience was not the main thing and this C grade would do. As it turned out, the only plus of this hotel is that it is located on the first line, vacationers called it that: a 1-star hotel. But first things first.
The plane arrived on schedule, everything was processed at the airport pretty quickly. Operator: TURTESS. We were promptly loaded into a small bus (apparently there were not many people who wanted to go to this part of Hurghada), we were handed a tulip and within 30 minutes we were taken to the hotel. Once again I was convinced that anything can be shown in tasteful advertising: if the hotel looked nothing on the website and in the prospectus at the travel agency, then the reality left much to be desired, but I firmly decided not to get upset over trifles. They brought me to the hotel around 12. I had half board, therefore, the bracelet was not worn, and dinner was not expected. Leaving my bag at the reception (do not leave valuables, you may not find them later), I went to explore the surroundings.
If you leave the hotel, then on the left there are a couple of tiny shops where you can buy water, drinks, sweets. Further along the same side is another similar "hotel", then a public beach, and then nothing interesting. If you go to McDonald's, then in this direction it takes about 10 minutes by taxi (10 pounds, for some reason if more than 2 people get into the car, they start demanding a big fee, don't agree, they will mumble all the way, but they will take you). To the right of the entrance to the hotel there was a cafe, where you could drink beer or some cocktail. There is a hookah, and they always gave one an apple, claiming that there was nothing else, while others at the same time were offered a cherry, although they asked for an apple, music plays there: there were several constantly repeating songs. A little further was the building of the Triton Hotel, according to reviews, it is much better there than in Sand Beach. And right behind the "Triton" there is a cafe, it seems to be related to the hotel, but the entrance to it is from the street, there is a disco somewhere from 21:00 to 23:00.5-15 people are dancing on a small area. Admission is free, only they will ask you to buy something, well, at least beer. Across the road from the entrance to our hotel and a little to the left there is another shop selling some souvenirs and sweets. And if you turn right behind the store into the street - there is an Internet cafe with prehistoric computers, but the Internet works. 2 pounds an hour, if memory serves (the Internet did not work at the hotel). If you go from the hotel to the right and cross the road, then there will be a left turn (near the hospital) and go forward - then various shops begin, and the souvenirs sold in them are no worse than those in the center. If you go even further ahead, then there are several food shops where you can buy juice, any sweets, fruits and various products (I only bought juice). In the store near the hotel, everything is 1.5-2 times more expensive. Here, too, there is an Internet cafe with normal computers and normal speed, only for 5 pounds per hour. There are also several cafes there (not far from the Triton building, located on the second line).

So, having got used to the area, I returned to the hotel, there was still time until 14:00, but for some reason they decided to settle me. Rooms in the hotel are located partly in the main three-story building, and partly in two-story houses located along the pool in the courtyard. As it turned out later, they all who are not in the know are settled in the main building in rooms with windows overlooking the street. Here is a tin! When I saw a wretched little room, the free space of which was occupied by two antique beds, although I was supposed to have one, an equally ancient wardrobe, bedside table, chest of drawers, a small refrigerator, a mirror on the wall, air conditioning and a TV set. Next to the curtained window was a door to the balcony, which opened onto the roadway, there was a plastic chair, everything, both the floor and the chair, were covered with a centimeter of dust. There is nothing to say about the bathroom, but a full person in the shower, which is fenced off from the rest of the space by a curtain, may not fit. This is where I got discouraged. But then, pulling myself together, I decided that nothing would spoil my vacation, I went on to get acquainted with the hotel. Yes, there is no safe in the room, they are at the reception, some of them are broken, the rest are occupied.
In the center of the courtyard there is a swimming pool: three tiers, in depth, water flows from one to the next, on both sides there are umbrellas and sun loungers (plastic). And a guy sits on a chair, whose duties include cleaning the pool. You could also ask him for a mattress, normal and completely new. Between the entrance to the hotel and the pool there are tables and chairs where people usually sit while waiting for dinner. At the end of the courtyard there is some vegetation and finally the beach begins. This hotel belongs to the left side of the beach. Immediately the entrance to the sea is sandy, gradually the depth, only periodically observers from the hotel located on the right shout not to swim and enter their territory. Along, so to speak, the left bank and the fence separating the "Triton" are prehistoric wooden deck chairs, which is hard to move. The pier goes out to sea, there are also the same sunbeds. At the end on the right there is a ladder for descending into the water, it’s already deep here, people even dived, but it’s more interesting to swim here, there are even a few corals and a lot of fish, here you can swim anywhere, no one interferes. As elsewhere, massages, tattoos, and excursions are offered on the beach.
As it turned out, in order to take a place under the sun on the pier, you have to come at 6 o’clock, you have to take the mattresses yourself, they are piled up in a shed located behind the person who gives out towels. In my opinion, if during the day you already took a beach towel and handed it over, for example, in the afternoon, then he will not give you a second one. Such early rises were not for me, and at 9-10 o'clock all the places were already occupied, so my friends from St. Petersburg and I began to sunbathe by the pool (for some reason there were always places) and just periodically went to the sea to swim, it was even like that more interesting. Yes, movement is life. There is no shower on the beach. Then we found some in a back street, but for some reason no one used it.
Our guide came in the evening, and I agreed on relocation ($ 20), although at first people moved for 10, and some even for 30. It was impossible to stay in that room, because. if in the evening the noise from the street did not interfere, then in the morning I woke up at 5 o'clock from the horns of cars and screams. The houses located closer to the sea are better, and in those closer to the main building it is better to live on the second floor, they are more comfortable and have balconies. The rooms on the first floor have a small terrace with chairs, but some of them are located in such a way that when you go out to sit on a chair, you will not see anything except for the fence that separates the area from the pool, in addition, there is a path right along the houses where someone is constantly then runs. In the direction of the sea, the fence decreases. There are some rooms that overlook neighboring hotels. The new room was not very different from the previous one (it was in one of the houses overlooking the fence). But I didn't care anymore. If suddenly there is a locker near the entrance to your room where the staff stores towels, t/b, etc. , be prepared that they will start crowding around these lockers at 7 am and you will not be able to sleep. During the day, they periodically tinted individual houses, probably in order to write later that the last renovation was in 2010, and in one place they even built something, and they did it until 11 pm, without thinking that the noise might disturb someone, so one friend demanded a new number already simply out of principle, they moved. Warm water was not everywhere and not always, besides, you need to get used to the operation of the tap, but many complained about the lack of warm water in principle, not to mention hot. Cleaned every day the same way: what to leave the money, what not to leave. I also somehow did not trace the replacement of bed linen.

Breakfast was from 7 to 10. If you are a fan of boiled eggs, then you need to be in the forefront. I came at 8:30-9:00, then only an omelette, sometimes there were pancakes, pastries (without much variety, but fresh and tasty) and every other day they alternated cheese with sausage, maybe there was something else, but then you need to come earlier . I won’t tell you about lunch, because. I had half board. Dinner started at 19:00. While waiting for him, people gathered at tables in the courtyard. Everyone tried to get into the front rows, but there were enough places. There was a standard set of dishes, repeated every other day: fish, chicken, meatballs, beef, soups, stewed vegetables, beans, pasta, potatoes, fresh vegetables, a couple of salads, desserts. In principle, it is difficult to stay hungry, everything is quite edible. They pour tea themselves from teapots, where several tea bags are immersed, water is periodically added there until the “tea” becomes completely pale. If you have half board, they won’t even give you water at dinner, but if you bring it with you, they will take it away and return it at the exit. I have to buy from them, but I once tried to buy tea, they said - no change and do what you want. If you like fruits, and there were almost none of them, then take them right away, because. then it will be too late. You can’t take anything out (people from breakfast dragged rolls and fed them to fish in the sea, and some bought fishing rods and caught fish from the pier for bread, then a local chef cooked it with vegetables secretly from his chef for a small fee). Yes, at the entrance to the restaurant they fix your room number, probably so that you don’t eat twice.
There are 2 bars in the patio: in front of the pool and behind it. Even at the end of the pool, in a small free space, there was a small stage. On Saturdays, in the late afternoon, Arab weddings were held at the hotel. To the music, the bride and groom, surrounded by guests, walked to the stage, where they sat on chairs, and all the guests sat on pre-arranged chairs opposite. Congratulations and gifts began, and then there were dances, while drinking a large amount of cola and sprite, there was some kind of simple food in disposable plates, something like a dessert. The whole thing took 3 hours.
On my 11 days of rest fell two days off. On Saturdays and Sundays, Arab families with a bunch of children come to the hotel to relax. And their children came to the hotel workers. All these children with a wild scream flopped in the pool, and the mothers watched them from the shore, the fathers also swam. Older girls bathe in clothes. At this time, I had to move to the sea, as there were too many people and noise.
There is an exchanger in the hotel lobby, but if it did not work, then you could exchange money at the safe deposit box, the rate would be a little lower.
There is no music in the hotel. My friends and I learned the music collection of my mobile almost by heart. There is also no entertainment. Almost all vacationers are Russian speakers: mostly from Russia, there were representatives from Ukraine, Belarus, the Caucasus region, a few Germans, Czechs and a couple of Italians. Moreover, in terms of financial capabilities, people also differed greatly, someone went to save money, someone was beautifully presented at the agency, and someone preferred to spend money on something else.
If you still decide to go to Sand beach, then I hope this information will be useful to you. In principle, if you do not pay attention to some inconveniences, then here you can have a good time.
