4* Worth the money Not the first time I went to Egypt. Usually my husband and I took a ticket to five-star hotels. And then he could not go to work, and his girlfriend offered to go to 4 *, so that it was a little cheaper, well, I agreed - you need to see how and what is in such hotels. Surprisingly quickly settled us after arrival - only 20 minutes have passed and have already given the keys to the room. Our suitcases were carried by a porter - everything is like in a five-star hotel! Surprisingly, we were lucky with the room - they gave the keys to the room in the new building and overlooking the pool. These rooms usually charge extra or are occupied, so we must have been lucky. Newly refurbished room with 2 separate beds with clean linens. TV new, lcd. In the bathroom - complete order - all the towels are available, the taps worked properly. The plumbing is not new, but everything is clean. There were also shower caps, but there was no hair dryer. But for me this is not a problem, I go everywhere with my compact hair dryer. An iron could be taken for an extra charge, but I usually don’t do much washing on vacation and all my things are such that they almost don’t wrinkle in my suitcase. The lack of a kettle didn't bother me either. The food is without much frills. There was practically no fish, but they gave chicken and beef - they prepared all sorts of different dishes from them. What we tried we liked. There were some exotic dishes of local cuisine, but they are not for everybody. If you arrive 20 minutes after the start of dinner, you will have to wait - there are no empty seats. If you are late, then 40 minutes is preferable. Sometimes we went out into the city in the evening and had dinner at McDonald's, which is very close to the hotel. If you want to try fresh fish, you can walk for 20 minutes on foot and get to the fish market. There you point your finger at any fish you like and they cook it in front of you (by the way, it’s very tasty). The hotel is located in the city strip, so there was no time to be bored - we walked a lot and looked at souvenirs. Although it was hard to fight off local sellers. . . If you are going on an excursion, it is better to take it from the locals (the hotel is almost half the price). We took an excursion to the banana island - such a beauty! And there was a lot of fruit, we were not limited and we ate as much as we wanted. They have a lot of excursions, they even have a paradise island, but we decided that one trip would be enough. The hotel area made an impression - huge and well-groomed, all surrounded by greenery. There are several pools, all are clean. But we didn’t swim in them much - we spent more time at the sea (after all, we came for it). There is a water park, but we only glimpsed it. But they ran into the minizoo to feed the monkeys - they are so cool! There are 2 beaches at this hotel. We liked the one that is farther away (not near the old building) - it was somehow cleaner and the sunbeds were always free. Although, if you pay 2 bucks, then you will always be provided with sunbeds and you won’t have to jump up at dawn and throw a towel on the sunbed. Animators - well done. We tried our best to entertain. I have to admit, they worked professionally. To be honest, I did not even expect that everything would be so good in a 4 * hotel in Hurghada!
