My family and I decided to go to Egypt for the first time in several years.
The flight is quite short and comfortable. The transfer is very well organized, from the exit of the airport - immediately to the bus and the hotel. I was struck by the contrast of poor local life and the chic territories of tourist hotels.
I want to praise the territory of our hotel! Very nice, well-groomed greenery, paths, palm trees. There is where to walk without leaving the perimeter of the hotel. On the way, look into the bar, sit by the pool or by the sea. We practically did not leave the territory. And this is a very big plus.
Lots of pools. Therefore, there is no crush, a large number of faces, arms and legs around. Everyone is dispersed around the pools according to their preferences: to whom to animation, to whom, on the contrary, to silence, to sea water, to a heated one, etc. It's incredibly comfortable for me.
We flew in on my friend's birthday (around 12:00) and checked in almost instantly. We filled out a questionnaire and immediately a porter with suitcases took us to the room. There is nothing memorable in the room, the most ordinary room, with beds, a wardrobe, a mini fridge, a mirror. The bathroom was a bit disappointing, very large but cramped. Plus, the drain or something in the pipes was junk, a puddle was constantly spreading to the toilet. The cleaner was of no help, so on the second day we had to fit one of our towels in there.
By the way, there was a surprise for my birthday - a plate of fruit and a hookah. We did not expect and even forgot that we were given such a mark when buying a tour.
I can note the cleaner for high-quality and very honest performance of duties. We never saw garbage in the room, but we always waited for fresh towels. Moreover, knowing our incident in the bathroom, he always removed the wet towel from the floor and in return gave one more towel. This is a huge plus for the staff.
I advise you to visit each of the restaurants of national cuisine! Here they are all free, as far as I understand, you can even go several times. I especially recommend the Mexican restaurant. Here the dishes are spicy, but completely in Mexican traditions. And a Lebanese restaurant. For us, this cuisine was unusual, we do not understand the intricacies, but the taste of the dishes pleased. The waiters are great, they run fast, we have never waited for an order for more than 5-20 minutes. By the way, in each restaurant there is a special addition to the menu where dishes are paid. And the prices are extraordinary! You need to read and choose carefully.
The employees are polite and never get nasty, but if they are not provoked of course. We smiled and greeted everyone, there were no conflicts or disputes. One waiter at the restaurant even remembered the table where we liked to have lunch and dinner and always set it for us. No tip. It's very nice.
The beach is comfortable, surrounded by the coast in a small bay. Therefore, there are no waves and a comfortable sandy bottom. In isolated cases, some sharp stones or fragments of shells come across. The most convenient entrance is to the left of the pier. They don’t dive from the pier itself, they only swim near it with masks.
