So, fresh impressions about the hotel. I was with my family twice: at the end of March 2011 and recently, at the end of October 2011. I will compare : )
The first time the hotel was loaded somewhere by a third, because. the "Great Egyptian Revolution" had just happened, the guests of the hotel were mostly Germans, British, Scandinavians, and, well, Ukrainians, to which I belong. There were no Russians, because their Foreign Ministry banned flights to Egypt for that period.
The hotel was almost empty, the staff went out of their way to keep the clientele.
Next - on the main points.
BEACH
Real 400 meters, which is sooooo much for Hurghada : ) It is divided into two parts: the main 5 * hotel and 4 *, which is across the road. In principle, the same thing, on the 5 * part there are a little more umbrellas, fences from the wind, well, newer sunbeds. Nobody looks, from 5* you or from 4*. Settle down wherever you like.

Swimming areas are fenced with buoys. From the side of 5 * - at low tide it is very shallow right up to the buoys, bulk sand. From the side 4 * - first the depth is 2 meters, then - up to the chest to the buoys. At the same time, there are many large stones overgrown with corals, a lot of interesting living creatures swim and crawl. But 100% there are hedgehogs : )))) They sit under these same stones. Very many along the line of buoys. So either buy special slippers or swim with a mask.
In any case, the hedgehogs themselves will not attack you : ))))
In the middle of the beach - rental of catamarans, surfboards, etc. , etc.
NUTRITION
On the territory of a 5 * hotel, you can choose both "All Inclusive" and Breakfast, Breakfast / Dinner. In this regard, even being on All Inclusive, you will be brought checks for food or drinks. Further, depending on your meal plan, the computer will tell you what you need to pay. But be careful not to accidentally sign someone else's check with something that is not part of the All Inclusive.
In general, as you know, "All Inclusive" is an invention for group tourists, primarily from the CIS countries. In many luxury hotels, in principle, it is not : )
Well, for many decent people from Europe, bracelets seem humiliating. They are not here.
More precisely, there is, but only in 4 *, which is across the road.
The quality of food is SUPER in my opinion.
There will always be something wrong for someone.
Breakfast is pretty much the same every day. Covered in the main restaurant. In my opinion, very plentiful and for every taste. However, on my last visit, in my opinion, the breakfasts were somewhat different. Perhaps it seemed.
Dinner. Last time I ate at a restaurant near the beach and at a restaurant near the pool. Near the beach - a buffet, always - 2-3 dishes on the grill. Around the pool - on the menu, pizza, hamburgers, salads. Both restaurants are quite windy.
On the second visit, the main restaurant was also open for lunch. A little more varied in dishes and salads, but without dishes on the grill.
Dinner is the main restaurant. Dress code. Every day is dedicated to the cuisine of a country or direction (seafood for example). Soooo rich and abundant. There are raisins like a huge baked tuna or a chic meatloaf in the dough. The tables are just bursting with food. Personally, it's hard for me to imagine what could be missing here : )))))))

The quality of the food is all fresh. There was NEVER food "with a smell". Greens - crunches, just from the fields.
Fruit. . . Don't get me wrong, even in Egypt there is seasonality. I called fruit. At the same time, I want to note that although it was not the season, there were watermelons, for example. Juices for breakfast - fresh. Orange, apple, grapefruit.
It is clear that in such a huge food complex there is always a place for poisoning. But here - German purity. I think that a sick stomach is more likely from unwashed hands or tap water. (Drank, everything is ok: )
Well, or from incontinence in food.
The All Inclusive system includes free local beer and wine, soft drinks and several types of alcoholic cocktails. I think it's enough. Even if you set the goal to "get drunk", then there will be something.
SETTLEMENT
The hotel was 99% full. There was no opportunity to twist your nose and choose a number for yourself. For quite objective reasons.
However, the staff is always helpful.
We are not talking about bribes - they have a strict German order, any deviation from the established service algorithm goes through the manager. It is better to check into the hotel after lunch, then you will not have to wait for the rooms to be released. Late check-out is possible for an additional fee or, if you are not the first time, then free of charge until 16:00, subject to availability.
ANIMATION
was present. Much more active than in spring. Children are also actively entertained, there is even a separate children's area with a pool and supervision. In general, the hotel positions itself as calm and respectable. So blaring loud music around the clock - don't wait.
GENERAL SUMMARY
Even at peak load, the hotel continues to meet the stated level.
Overpriced.....Who knows how much it actually costs to host you at one of the best levels in Hurghada.
In any case, monopoly travel agencies earn a lot. People from Europe fly with inexpensive low-cost airlines and book through the hotel's website. It turns out 30-40 percent cheaper than from us through a travel agency...
But this is not a question for the hotel.

AND FURTHER
For some reason, it seems to me that Europeans are much more modest in their requests than our compatriots; )
