Message about our holiday in Egypt (Hurghada). Went for the first time with my husband.
When choosing a hotel, we had several wishes: close to the city center, first coastline, open sea, budget. I can't say that I liked everything. In order:

We chose the seats we wanted on the plane. You cannot register back. Therefore, at the airport in Egypt, we asked to be given seats at the emergency exit, because there are wider for the legs))))))
Hotel: from 07 to 18 February 2021 we were at Sunny Days El Palacio Resort 4 *, operating on an all-inclusive basis, located 3 km from the center of Hurghada and 10 km from Hurghada International Airport. There are few tourists in the hotel due to the corona virus pandemic. Egyptians and Russian speakers (mostly Ukrainians and Belarusians).
At the reception, waiters and hotel workers speak Russian well, finding a common language is not difficult. They speak English too. We arrived at the hotel around 13:30, left our suitcases at the reception, put on our bracelets and offered to go to lunch.
Territory: large, cleaned; includes the infrastructure of two more neighboring hotels: Sunny Days Palma De Mirette 5 *, Sunny Days Mirette 3 * (there is an underground passage on the second coastline). There is a shopping gallery with more than two dozen stores (for every taste with more or less reasonable prices), as well as a pharmacy and a hairdresser.
Restaurants and bars. Four restaurants on the territory of Sunny Days El Palacio:
1. Mirette Main. The largest. Restaurant by the pool. We, basically, went to him, conveniently, by the fact that he was next to our building. Three others (menu service) or by appointment.
2. Orca - fish. Because if you say that * seafood *, then a little lie))) Were in it by appointment. The impression was "saved" by the chief waiter, a good person.

Layalina (Oriental) - cuisine: Middle Eastern, local, liked it. Were there just in time for Valentine's Day. Desserts are unusual, I studied for myself: kunafa (knafe), gollash, baspusa (or paspusa = Egyptian mannik).
4. Al Dente - Italian cuisine. By appointment on the same day. I liked it very much. Tasty and varied: soups, salads, lasagna, pizza, meat, fish, chocolate mousse, fruit salad.
Three restaurants on the territory of Sunny Days Palma:
1. Main restaurant. Located on the second floor overlooking the sea. We sometimes had lunch or dinner there. Slightly more respected staff than in 4*. The restaurant recommends a casual dress code (sportswear, beachwear and sandals are not allowed).
2. International Restaurant - on the first one, we were there by appointment, but the impressions from it are not very good, so-so. A, in general, all the A la Carte restaurants were good, but the Chinese one is highly recommended!
We visited it just for the Chinese New Year)))) And to make the impressions complete, take your own alcohol with you)))))
3. Asian Restaurant - located by the sea.
Also on a large territory of the hotel there are islands with bars (due to the small number of tourists, half did not work). There you can order: alcohol, juice, water, tea, coffee, take ice cream from 12:00 to 14:00. There is also a snack bar: hot dogs, burgers, french fries, something like pizza, cinnamon buns, from 12:00 to 17:00, but the employee is a redneck and stuffs a sausage into a bun with his hands without gloves)) )
Food: mediocre, there seems to be a choice, everything is beautifully laid out, but the taste is not tasty. We can say - no frills. But you won’t stay hungry for sure))) They put as much as you want (without portions). The first dish is soup (2 different ones of your choice).
Side dishes: rice, mashed potatoes (which were always very salty), stewed potatoes with vegetables, scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs, vegetables (fresh and grilled), meat (chicken, beef), for dinner you could take meat or fish cooked. on the mangal. There are few fruits, only: guava, melon, oranges, dates. Table with the same type of desserts. There was bread and products, but we were indifferent to them. Alcohol: locally produced: vodka, whiskey, rum, gin, wine. Everything, you know, nuuu ...such - no. There was a nice beer "Stella" in glass bottles. Also: circles, sprite, juices, tea and coffee (which I did not like at all).
Room: We did not pay extra for the room. It was room 2022, on the ground floor ('ground floor', only three), a four, as they say "tired", in general: clean, wooden furniture, not shabby. But there was an unpleasant "surprise": two separate beds ...But we, as guests, not very picky, pressed them to the heap. Refrigerator, TV, safe with combination lock. Teapot, cups.
Clals: stickers of coffee, dry cream, tea, sugar, water were put every day 4 bottles of 0.5 liters. Towels and linen were changed and it was clean. Shampoo, gel, soap and paper were given without problems. If you leave a tip (a dollar or a chocolate bar), they spin figures from towels.
Our balcony overlooked the beach and the lagoon. In general, the location of our room was suitable for us. At night, such winds blew that all the doors went along the way, propped up with furniture.
Laguna: struck by color. There is a natural pool between the hotel buildings. Flat measure, clean, there is a ladder. There are not many animals (sea urchins, fish), the depth is 4-7-9 meters, excellent for swimming. There were always enough sun loungers on the beaches, so accommodation was never a problem. It was our permanent place to sunbathe)))) Beach towels were given out.
Sea: impeccable. Behind the hotel buildings. Fine and very beautiful turquoise water Gentle sunset and stairs to choose from.
Beautiful reef behind the fish restaurant (near the pier). Be sure to buy (take with you) a mask for snorkeling. There are few corals and fish, but not many of them: stingrays, barracudas, parrot fish swim. To the right of the pier there is a sunset into the water and there are separate coral islands. Do not swim under the net in the lagoon, there is a large sea snake and many poisonous lionfish, moray eels, eels, sea urchins.
Swimming pools: two heated; one on the territory of Sunny Days El Palacio, the second on the territory of Sunny Days Palma. Was empty without heating.
Aquapark. E. In a hotel on the second line. You can go through the road or underpass.
Animation. In the evenings there are theme evenings dedicated to oriental themes (belly dance, tanovara dance), live music, disco. Also: beach volleyball, exercises, yoga, aqua aerobics, for those who are afraid to lose shape - a gym (in each building). 2 tennis courts on the second line.
They said that there is a room with billiards and table tennis.

We had excursions from "ANEX tour". Not cheap (I think we overpaid a bit), but cool. This is Luxor (the whole day) and half a day on Safari: Bedouins, ATVs (this is the most vivid impression of Egypt).
So, I will say, in general, our vacation was a success. In general, the hotel left an average impression, for a budget holiday it is quite an option.
The area is not very landscaped and little flower. For the most part: herbs, flowers, flowers. No free internet in the rooms, only in the forehead (and very weak). All conditions and quality of accommodation depend on how much money you give to this or that hotel employee.
It wouldn't hurt to upgrade the plumbing. Well, or at least bring it into an acceptable existing state (fix mixers, clean drains).
