We went with the operator Anex tour to the Festival Resort (club room) (Festival le Jardin Riviera Resort club room), quickly met, settled within an hour (arrival was just in time for the check-in time). Despite the fact that we had read terrible reviews and seen enough terrible photos, we immediately decided to change (with a surcharge) the room to the standard (Standart), which was considered better according to the reviews. At the reception, I politely, in English, asked to give us a good and beautiful room, but haven't given any money yet. NUMBERS: I went to look and was surprised that I didn’t see anything terrible in it! Clean, brand new room, everything is perfect in the room, new furniture, fresh renovation, yes, there is no bathroom in the shower, everything is tiled there, quite neat and European standard, with good plumbing. The sink is really green - this is such an enamel, but it's not scary. We tried to ask for a number on the first line and give a bribe (our building was across the road, about 50 meters from the main building and a hundred meters from the sea, but you still go to the sea through the main building). They didn’t take a bribe in any way, they said that a standard room costs 10 euros more per day, if you want to pay, or not, and live in the paid one. The guide said that we were lucky and should be pleased that we were settled on the 5th floor, we can see the sea from the window and there are definitely no random ants and living creatures. We did not become very upset, because then we had not yet seen the number of the main building. As it turned out later, when we met Belarusians who lived in the main building, our rooms are IDENTICAL in appearance, only their building is NOT across the road. Everyone also has meals in the same "dining room", so in fact there are no differences. There is also the building LE Jardin, on the right, there the room is also almost the same, the bath is better only and they are fed not in our building, they have not tried their food, I won’t say. FOOD: BUT our food was not so hot, in principle, the meat was always different and seafood, but the same every morning, afternoon and evening, only in a slightly different interpretation (for example, the meat in the gravy is now finely chopped, but for dinner it is the same , in the same gravy, only large) (or fish in sweet sauce for lunch and the same fish in the evening without sauce). The rest is all good, they pour it normally at the bars, (there are a lot of bars), whatever you want and any amount, even a whole glass of vodka, even take gin. The bartender in the Lobby bar makes coffee very tasty and high quality (natural espresso and cappuccino). He really deserves a tip! He plows like crazy, always polite and does "miracles" with coffee. Really rare shot of human pleasant qualities.
BEACH AND POOLS: We personally had no problems with towels, but when we went out to eat, we always left a bag or a cap on top of the towels on the sunbeds. After all, according to the rules of the hotel, you can’t take a seat and leave, then they have the right to pick up towels. Those who left towels without things on top of them, they were gone. I personally saw how the Arab collected towels, those that lay without the things of the owners. Walking through the well-landscaped area to the sea is just nice, it is large, very beautifully decorated. Of course, there are not enough places at the pools, (one of them, a cat near the sea itself, with sea water, (chlorinated)) if you come after 10, then there are no places near the pools already. But sometimes people leave for lunch, or there are no races and you go to bed normally. Although we did not come near the pools to lie, but on the sea. We fell in love with the place on the right, which is considered the beach of the Jardin Hotel, closer to the sea under umbrellas it is cooler, not so hot and you can always find sunbeds.
ABOUT THE SEA: The sea is not very good! Entrance to the water along the path of cut corals, sandy entrance. You can go into the water without special slippers. But for those who like to swim away, where there are a couple of corals, it is better to buy slippers ($8 in a hotel and $3 in a city). We were not too lazy and swam very far, about a hundred meters we swam to the spit, there, after the depth, again it was knee-deep, then you pass the spit and there is a great depth, there are fish and corals. (this is somewhere more than 150-200 meters away from the shore, with a mask and snorkel, in principle, swimming is easy) BUT. But guys, the corals are almost dead. It can be seen that they were once alive, there are many of them, but something killed them, there is a lot of sand on them, there are fish, but they are pale and there are not many of them, it seems that something killed the reefs and their inhabitants. Many fish fry, those that we saw big once in Sharm el-Sheikh. On an excursion to Paradise Island, we almost did not see corals. One reef and then, not very fishy. And when we were taken to Paradise Island, there is also a fat dead reef, in the same sand, although the beach is really beautiful, the sand is white, azure. Something happened there, it seems to me that a lot of corals in Hurghada died! ? In general, if you want to see real corals, then go to Sharm el-Sheikh for sure! A taxi from the hotel to the city costs 20 pounds ($ 4), it’s hard to wait for a minibus and it takes a person, but in a taxi for everyone, for a car, if there are two of you, or more, then it’s profitable. The price is the same back, because no one is cheaper, the hotel is far from the city center, it’s really clear that you don’t overpay the taxi driver, because he goes back empty, because it’s late and no one needs to go to the city later. There is a safe in the room, although it’s not big, it’s working, the instructions are as usual simple (written in Russian on a piece of paper), but you can’t put a laptop in it, we put the computer in a bag, and always closed the bag with a lock, but they won’t completely drag it away ! Internet at the hotel is paid, expensive, 25 pounds ($ 5) for half an hour. WI-FI is available only in standart rooms, but it is NOT available in the internet room. If we take into account the fact that we paid $ 740 for a week for two, i. e. $ 370 per person, then the price justified the services received a hundred times.
