Just returned from IBEROTEL MAKADI BEACH. Were from 14 to 21 October 2009. Left a VERY bad aftertaste! We are just shocked! I DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE. Before the trip, my husband and I chose a hotel for a long time, read all the reviews here - I didn’t find anything particularly terrible, and with a calm soul I paid 96.600 rubles for 7 days to MOSTREVEL. We travel a lot, always in the best 5-star hotels - but there was no such disgrace in any hotel!! ! The adventure began with the settlement. Manager Mostrevela Mohamed and Russian-speaking Irina at the reception did not pay any attention to us. After us, two girls arrived and they began to settle them, not us. As we later realized, these were friends of that same Irina - since all the following days Irina was on the beach NEXT to them almost all day - she stood by and chatted all day! So, this Irina was sweetly secretive with them and smiled enigmatically. They gave us the keys, but after 10 seconds they took the keys and said that the room was bad, we'll give you a better one. We believed, stupid. And changed the keys to another number. They brought me to a room in the farthest building 8, where there is no sea view at all and there is also a third huge bed. We began to show a voucher, they say we have a Deluxe Sea View Double (superior double room with sea view). But the employee from the reception, who had just spoken perfectly in Russian, suddenly began to not understand us. But I speak excellent English - and I explained everything to him. And we immediately went back to the reception. (I want to note that the temperature outside is 33 degrees, we are still in warm Moscow clothes - tired from the plane). Here we are transferred to another employee - an Egyptian. He also speaks excellent Russian, he says that we will definitely like this number. Again he leads us through the land to the 6th building - and again the same situation - there is no view of the sea !! ! We are already starting to get nervous. . . But we are silent. Again we return to the reception. We are handed over to the third Egyptian. I only speak English with him. He leads us and again very far from the sea, the room is not deluxe at all and the sea is visible very little from the side. Like we don't know what number we paid for. I already say in a loud voice - that this is not a Deluxe Sea View - but a Front Sea View (side room with sea views), again I show him the voucher. We return to the reception. He calls Irina, who settled her friends in the room we booked (and then we realized why we changed the keys - that room was given to Irina's friends, and we naively thought that they really wanted to give the best room). He said something to Irina in Egyptian and gave me the phone. I explain the whole situation, she screams that she shouldn't be nervous and hangs up!! ! We are waiting for her at the reception. She arrives in 10 minutes. She looks at our voucher, I explain to her that we have paid for the Deluxe Sea View, the hotel confirmed the availability of this room and we still will not check into another room. She understands that we do not want to give bribes, we know our rights, and with a very displeased look, as if doing us a favor, she still accidentally finds the number we need. It seemed like they wanted to charge money for a nice room - but sorry, we paid and asked for the best room initially and why should we pay again? For what? She took us to a room in the third building in room 3213. It is very close to the sea and the beach and now we have agreed. When she showed us how to turn on the air conditioner, the mini-bar fridge began to buzz very loudly. She wrote it down in her notebook and said that everything would be fixed today (guess - yes, for 7 days no one came and fixed it - I had to just pull it out of the socket at night - to fall asleep peacefully. ) Repeated requests did not lead to anything. She explained to us that only water and soft drinks, nuts, sweets and beer are free in the refrigerator - to which I told her that we don’t drink beer, we don’t eat nuts and sweets - we have allergies and I asked her to remove everything paid. To which she replied that such rules could not be removed (I felt like a catch, but again I did not pay attention). Also that day, Irina said that they would bring us a bottle of wine and fruit - they only brought fruit (2 apples, 1 lemongrass and a black half-rotten banana). They asked her about wine 2 times, she said that they don’t bring wine on the first day, but they can bring it on the last day - guess what - yes, they didn’t bring it, well, figs with wine, my husband and I don’t drink algogol at all, but why did she then tell us about the wine? (because it was a Deluxe room and they had to bring wine. We relaxed and began to forget about accommodation, everyone forgave and got used to turning off the refrigerator for the night - on the last day of our vacation I come at 12 noon from the beach - I kept after-sun cream in the refrigerator soothing Vichy - I open the refrigerator - and I see that beer, nuts are gone, and there is an OPEN PACK of MMdance. I run to the beach to Irina - she talks nicely with the same two girls - I tell her that there is no beer, no nuts and a torn bag lies MMdance. She assures with a satisfied face that it’s okay if we didn’t eat or drink, they won’t take money from us. And that in 5 minutes the one who filled this mini-bar will come. I saw number 40 on the phone (mini bar service) and called there. And I spoke in Russian and English with the leader, as he said Hassan - he said that he looked at our account and we have zero, they won’t take money from us if I sign that I didn’t eat these MMdens, and they will bring me this piece of paper soon - guess - yes, they never brought it. Let's go to the reception in the evening - I tell Irina why no one came, why they spoil our vacation so much (my husband has a heart disease, it hurts, horror, he drank 3 packs of validol on vacation in a five-star hotel, he began to sneeze from this validol! such rest never was). She began to shout that the receptionist would pay this money for us. I said that it is not necessary for the receptionist to pay, let the person who refilled the mini bar come to my room and I will look into his eyes. Three hours after dinner, Irina ran up to us and asked us not to write anything bad - but it was already too late, so she could ruin our vacation and I could no longer forgive her for the pain in my husband’s heart (there was just a check - they were conducting a survey and I I honestly wrote everything in English on 2 pages, and handed it to the German woman and told her everything in English - that German inspector was shocked) and wrote everything down, and my contacts promised to answer and punish. Irina, seeing how I check the box VERY BAD and write a lot, and in English and talk with the inspectors for a very long time, she got nervous, began to fawn, assured that we had been deducted from that account and we had zero. But I no longer believed her and we went to the reception - and lo and behold - the truth is we have 0 on the account, there are no 13 Egyptian pounds for these MMdances. I asked to print this check (and thank God, how I felt). And what do you think, yes, at lunchtime, when we left the hotel, they tell us - we have 13 pounds on our account for MMdance !! ! This should ruin your vacation! But of course I did not throw away that check, where we have canceled 13 pounds and on the account 0. He was very surprised and hesitated. I began to demand Hassan, Irina began to scream. He immediately gave us 0 and said everything is fine. All our nerves were worn out because of 2 dollars - I already wanted to throw these two dollars at Irina's feet, but it's a matter of principle. I also promised Irina to write about this situation in all forums. The husband is engaged in advertising and he can send my review to 10 thousand forums. And even I am not too lazy - I will buy the word IBEROTEL MAKADI BEACH on Yandex and Begun and put my review in the first place - that's how we were brought to let everyone know!! ! I wrote everything honestly, ready to subscribe to every word, believe me, it was a nightmare! The only thing I liked was a lot of greenery, palm trees. Maybe if there weren’t a lot of such bad situations, we would have a great rest, but Irina should be fired from there - such treatment in such a 5 star hotel is unacceptable and there are so many jambs !! ! Food - everything is spicy and peppery, from vegetables unripe tomatoes and cucumbers are not the first freshness, there are few fruits, the children of other vacationers ate only french fries - I was so sorry for their liver. Boiling water for the kettle seems to be taken from the pool - there is three times more bleach than in Moscow tap water. A lot of pastries - but from the incomprehensible margarine there was a burp all the time !! ! My husband and I have lost 4 kilograms - although we usually get better and better in hotels with an all-inclusive system from delicious food and a relaxing holiday. In the spring we were in Sharm El Sheikh at the Baron Deluxe 5 hotel - although there is little greenery - but the service, food, service, rooms - everything was excellent! Barone rested body and soul - and IBEROTEL MAKADI BEACH ruined our vacation and my husband's sick heart beat so hard both at the beginning and at the end of the holiday.
