We rested in July 2011.
To begin with, it took a long time to choose a hotel, as we were traveling with a child of 1 year and 8 months. And the month of July is hot : ) The main criterion was - no more than 5 minutes walk to the sea (after all, it’s not very pleasant to stomp with a child in the sun). I have already traveled to Egypt 10 times, lived in Cairo - I know the country from the inside, so we didn’t need any excursions, impressions, etc. Only the sea and passive rest.
I must say right away that we traveled with Turtess, although we usually travel with Teztur. But in Kyiv, this hotel sells only Turtess, which is why they decided to change their habit. Usually a child under 2 years old is not paid (only 50-70 dollars airport tax). So we went before. We paid for a double room, the child slept with me. Just as always, I found the hotel and dates we needed in the "tour selection" on the tour operator's website. Chose number DBl. Prepared money for payment. But then the tour calls me. agency and says that we looked at the price incorrectly... it was necessary to indicate the presence of a child and his age in the selection. Which is what I did. As a result, the price turned out to be 600 dollars more expensive. Long digested information, but still decided to go. As I have now learned that such tour selection systems fail and automatically count the child after 2 years, no matter what age you indicated. Natural tour. the operator modestly kept silent about this fact. Well, it is. You have to learn from your own mistakes : )

So.
ACCOMMODATION: We arrived at the hotel around 6 pm. We (I, my mother and son) and another company from our city, a person of 8. I'm used to the fact that you usually wait for resettlement for a long time. Prepared 20 dollars for faster resettlement. We were offered to sit down, collected passports, brought juice. Five minutes later they returned the passports and offered to follow the manager. He took us to the room, came with us, asked if we liked everything and said, if there are any problems, come to the reception. Honestly, I was in a quiet shock... what would they settle in Egypt in 5 minutes! What is nice, the air conditioner was already on in the room... and the heat, I'll tell you, is not sickly on the street. Well, of course, fruit, some sweets, wine, a figurine with a welcome letter on the bed, 2 papyrus. A trifle - but nice. Moreover, they settled on the first floor, which was very good, since we have a stroller (last time in Sharm we had to carry the stroller to the third floor and back for 2 weeks). there was already a crib in the room, which I asked to be removed, since my son sleeps on a regular bed (while we went to dinner, the bed had already been removed).
They settled us in the 4th building. It is very close to all infrastructure and 2 minutes to the sea. But I'll tell you that having explored the entire territory of the hotel - we never found the "village". even the most distant 9th building is very conveniently located, from it a maximum of 5 minutes walk to the beach, restaurant, pool, etc.
ROOM: We liked the room. Large terrace, view of the pool, but you can only hear it, because "in front of the nose" is a large wall of greenery. Flat TV, 2 Russian channels, a filled minibar (there is a menu that says what is paid, what is not. Replenished every day). There were 2 more bottles of wine, but there was a label hanging that they were paid. Kettle, cups, glasses, corkscrew, tea, coffee, sugar. There was a bag with a receipt for the laundry (which we successfully used every day). The air conditioner worked well. I can't say he didn't make noise. He worked as usual, but did not interfere with sleep at all. Ants constantly crawled into the room from the balcony. They did not interfere with us, since they did not keep any food in the room. We are generally insect friendly. But next. day, the cleaner himself poisoned them: (By the way, on the second day they knocked on the door, I open it, there is a cleaner and some other Arab. They say that your drain barrel is noisy, they came to fix it. I was surprised because I didn’t notice at all what was there something is noisy (the door is solid, you can't hear anything when the bathroom is closed. ) It was fixed in 5 minutes, the cleaner came again and washed the toilet (the Arab there splashed a little water). Cleaning is normal. Judged by clean heels after wiping the floor : )) unless you throw it on the floor. Bed linen was changed for us every day, since they didn’t wear a diaper for a child in such a heat, so sometimes small accidents happened : ))) On the 5th day, the cleaner also began to put a spare sheet in the closet and a pillowcase for us : ))) Naturally they twisted all sorts of figures from towels. Renk liked it. Every day the cleaner was waiting for a dollar in our room. By the way, my son was pretty good at painting the walls with pencils. The janitor silently wiped my child's art every day : ))

FOOD: I liked it too. We ate breakfast and dinner in the main restaurant. They stopped going there for lunch, as dinners were prepared from the leftovers of a half-eaten dinner. We went to a restaurant on the beach or by the pool. The main restaurant has a buffet. On the beach and by the pool - order from the menu. Everything is very tasty and varied. You can take ice cream for lunch by the pool (there is a refrigerator, you have to take it yourself. You can choose from a white and chocolate cone). For dinner at the main restaurant. You have to pick it up with a special ice cream scoop. 4 types to choose from. Very tasty pastries. In the morning all sorts of buns (mostly puff pastry). For dinner, buns, cake, jelly, mousses. There are enough fruits: dates, bananas, apples, watermelon, melon, plums and something else that tastes like cherry plum. We didn’t go to the Arabic restaurant, as we were told that there is the same as in the main one, only they bring in portions. Vegetables - none. But this is a problem for many hotels. Ham, cheese for breakfast - you show, they cut it in front of you. Children's menu - french fries, sausages, etc. Moreover, many are worried that the child has nothing to eat... nothing like that. My son was happy to eat soups, a variety of rice, meat, seafood, pizza by the pool such that a child can also be safely given. I was always looking forward to dessert: ) in the morning, a "healthy eating corner": cottage cheese, low-fat yogurt, bran bread, diet jams. Juices are not diluted, but from packages. We didn’t drink alcohol - I don’t know what and how. But cool different non-alcoholic cocktails interfered. waffles were fried by the pool for lunch. In general, anyone who writes that they have lost weight due to poor nutrition is disingenuous. everyone will find something tasty to eat.
BEACH: good, wide. Entrance to the sea on the sand. Coral nearby. on the beach 2 catamarans and 2 kayaks for free use. There were always enough beds. Towels were changed when they wanted. Constantly held different competitions between hotels (such as the Olympics).
ANIMATION: I must say right away that the hotel is advertised as "for a relaxing holiday", so the animation is unobtrusive. Heard complaints from tourists, they say they do not entertain, "a hotel for pensioners. " This was stated in the description of the hotel. It is necessary to read carefully. there is no music on the beach. in the evenings, usually either a show (swallowing swords, walking on broken glass, etc. ), or live music. Everything ends around 10. For those who wish, there is a disco La Locca across the road. There is no disco in the hotel itself. Only for children : ). Mini club - normal. But Russian girls are always a little sleepy (it seems that a night visit to a disco affects: ). One Arab woman plows - as I understand it, she is in charge of children's animation.
STAFF: friendly. But not from the breadth of my soul, but from the fear of losing my job. Questionnaires are constantly being held at dinner. We filled out the questionnaire 3 times - evaluating the service. Some Arabs (as usual) flirt with tourists, but mostly with those who want it. A waiter came up to me at breakfast and asked me to take a picture with him, I was unhappy, because at that moment I was feeding the child. A minute later we were served by another waiter.
All in all, we had a great time! Would love to visit this hotel again! Or maybe more than once : )
