We rested in Al Nabila Grand Bay Makadi 5 * from 02/17/2013 to 02/27/2013 together with my husband. We arrived early, before the end of breakfast, but at the reception they said that while there were no free rooms, they would not give us bracelets and recommended to go to the bar to drink tea and coffee with snacks. They settled everyone on the 4th floor at the end of the main building in the same room - until you get there, solid drafts, and everyone refused. We were no exception and asked for the 1st floor. For the “replacement” of the number they gave 10 USD, while others gave 5 USD each. The first 3 days a strong wind blew, but then we found a place where there was less wind and it became much better to rest. The hotel area is large, but since the occupancy was far from 100%, our room was very conveniently located. The entrance to the sea was comfortable, special shoes were not required. We saw many beautiful colored fish. But the descent to the sea was a surprise for us. We have never seen, not in the photo, not in the description, that the descent consists of 100! steps. The first days it was difficult to get up out of habit - then we got involved). But people of mature age and with small children did not even go to lunch, so as not to overcome so many steps once again. The beach bar is not conveniently located. The wind always blew strong around him. That's why we've only been there 3 times. The food was good, but monotonous. I really liked the A La Carte restaurants and the Italian and Oriental ones. Everything was very tasty and meat and fish and pizza. What they write about the locust invasion near Hurghada is true. Of course, we didn’t see her, but plants and cultivated areas are treated with pesticides there every evening, a car drives and fumigates the hotel territory – sometimes there’s nothing to breathe in the evening. Because of this, many suffer from allergies, there is a pharmacy at the hotel. There are shops in the hotel, but expensive if you need souvenirs, towels, bathrobes, etc. - all this can be bought inexpensively at the airport - there is a huge oriental market there.
Summing up, I will say - our vacation, as always, was a success. We rested, tanned, gained strength. Thanks to my dear husband for making me healthier, giving me the opportunity to visit summer in winter. ) Motherland also shot with snow in winter...
