Last year, visiting Hurghada once again, we firmly decided: never come here again. Too many compatriots, too few corals (maybe we just got lucky in the highly publicized Albatros hotel chain). This year we decided to go only to Marsa Alam and went to this hotel, guided solely by the reviews of tourists, including on this site. Thanks to everyone who helped in choosing the hotel, we have never regretted it. We originally booked another hotel in Marsa Alam, but read the reviews about Fantasia and rebooked it. I will not describe in detail all its advantages and disadvantages, since all this is described in previous reviews. I will stop only on a few points.
Pros:
- the amazing beauty of the sea, untouched corals and thousands of different fish;
- very friendly and helpful staff, not yet spoiled by the huge influx of tourists;
- solid rooms with new furniture, working hair dryer, safe and air conditioning;

- complete privacy and relaxation, no queues in the restaurant, on the beach and in bars. Sometimes it seemed, especially on the beach, that we were the only guests in the hotel. With a fairly wide beach strip and a sufficient number of sun loungers, it was possible to occupy any one you liked at any time and be sure that no one would be around within a radius of 10 meters. This is important for those who are looking for privacy. We occupied deck chairs closer to the pontoon, and the bulk of vacationers clustered closer to the sandy entrance.
Minuses:
- since the hotel is new, there is not enough greenery in it. Hopefully things will change in a few years;
- a bit tiring road from Hurghada (we drove 3.5 hours);
- an ill-conceived system for draining water in the shower, where there was always ankle-deep water;
- the hotel stands alone in the desert, nowhere to walk.
We turned a blind eye to these and other shortcomings (if any) and enjoyed a break from the noisy city, from the hustle and bustle and from the cold. We were lucky with the weather, it was very warm and calm, water +25, air +27.
Food is good, standard for Egypt. Everything was always fresh and tasty, especially the grill in the evenings and themed dinners (we had Oriental and Italian). Animation is Italian, we saw animators only at breakfasts, lunches and dinners, as well as during snacks. What they did the rest of the time is a mystery, but we didn't need them.
Conclusion: the hotel is an ideal option for those who are looking for peace and privacy, as well as a fabulous sea. It is hardly suitable for noisy party youth, as well as for families with small children (too tedious moving). We went with Pegasus, there were no complaints about him: transfers were good, excursions were not imposed, information was given on time.
I wish you all a pleasant holiday.
