I will try to write the most objective and detailed review.
I’ll note right away that everyone sees an ideal vacation in their own way and everyone has their own priorities in this regard, so everyone draws their own conclusions.
We flew from Kyiv to Marsa Alam. The road from the airport took a little over an hour, I won’t say that it was tiring, it’s quite normal. We arrived at lunchtime, while the tourists were having dinner, they were assigned to rooms, the check-in went pretty quickly. Bracelets are not worn at the hotel, because. there is no sense: around the desert. We got room 1230 on the second floor.

ROOM: standard category with sea view. As for me, this building has the best location. The rooms are tired but tolerable. The safe did not work for us and at the end of the rest the air conditioner began to drip profusely (but at the same time it performed its functions). Cleaning every day, change of beach towels on request. There are no shampoo gels in the rooms (we knew about it and were ready for it). TV-fridge working. The room has one large bed and one single bed. Because we usually spend little time in the room for us, this is not a significant parameter when evaluating a hotel.
TERRITORY: there is where to walk, but everything is located quite compactly. In view of the fact that during the pandemic the hotel did not work for some time, it is clear that the territory was not monitored: the grass turned yellow in places. Although in general everything is OK.
FOOD: as for me, this is the main disadvantage of the hotel. I won't say we were hungry. The food is quite tasty, but rather poor. The choice is very small: for breakfast, scrambled eggs (here for some reason they make one egg), one kind of yogurt, pancakes, pastries. At lunch, garnish with pasta, french fries and rice (every day without changes). For dinner, try to make a variety. There are no napkins on the tables, except for the one in which the cutlery is wrapped. Fruit selection is also limited. They make good pizza on the beach, but beer can be poured into a dirty glass. In general, the food is lame.
ANIMATION: pretty good. Animators are not intrusive and friendly. Water aerobics, yoga, darts foam parties. Disco evenings.

BEACH AND SEA: this is what we personally go on vacation for. The beach strip is about 600m. Enough loungers. But the bulk of the people hang out near the entrance to the lagoon. The entrance to the lagoon is sandy, marked with a sign, gradually the depth increases to 2.5 m. Fish swim in the lagoon, but not many. The corals in the lagoon are dead, grey, covered with a layer of sand. The second lagoon is larger, but the entrance to it is not very convenient and the depth there is 10+ meters, so almost no one swam there. Now for the outer reef. Near the pontoon, the reef is more or less alive, but I can't say that it's colorful. There are fish, but as many say, "in Sharm we saw the same, or even more beautiful. " But if you sail away, then real beauty opens up: a lively colorful reef, a huge variety of living creatures, if you are lucky you can meet a turtle (early in the morning). Coral pillars and a blue abyss that fascinates. But in order to see all this, you need to sail from the pier 200-300 meters. I swam around the entire reef and went ashore outside the hotel (if you look at the hotel from a satellite, you can clearly see the reef itself and where it comes close to the shore) while swimming about 1 km. at a time.
Therefore, the following conclusion can be drawn by sea: if you came for beauty, but are not ready to sail more than 200 meters from the pontoon, then most likely you will be disappointed.
