Hello!
If suddenly someone else does not know - from 15.10. In 2016, a new charter flight was launched from the Zhuliany airport (Kyiv) to the Egyptian resort of Marsa Alam. I wanted to get there for 5 years, but to go 4 hours from Hurghada - thank you! And directly - flew almost immediately. Tour operator - "Feeriya". Both there and back, the plane was only half full, but "Feeria" does not reduce prices by a penny, they did not find "burning" tours. The air carrier is Anda Air, the plane is a small MD-83, shabby inside, with the smell of old age in the cabin, but still quite volatile. : -) The distance between the chairs is standard. The crew and flight attendants are friendly and welcoming. During the flight, they were fed with a sandwich and watered with tea, coffee and water.
I was surprised by the host in Marsa Alam: the agent issued migration cards and immediately pasted the visas into the passport himself. I asked him how much it costs, he does not name the price, he says, then you will pay on the bus. I think it was a divorce, I refused, I bought a visa from the bank myself.

On the bus, it turned out that you had to pay the same $ 25, without gain. Moreover, they glued visas to a family of 3 people, but did not add them to the list, in the end, they themselves are honestly 75 c. u. e. gave away. It's strange somehow for Egypt! : -) The transfer in Egypt took a lot of time - we could not move from the airport for an hour, then another 45 minutes stuck in one of the hotels along the way. As a result - they got into the room only at 17.00, at sunset, they only had time to have dinner and take a walk, swim in the sea - they did not have time. : -( The first day - down the drain!
They flew there 4 hours 05 minutes, back only 3.40, but the flight back was delayed by 1 hour 15 minutes. There was no new Egyptian "chip" with identifying your suitcases from luggage on the airfield and dragging them to the plane, which is good news!
We were scheduled to leave the hotel at 11.
15, however, the plane was delayed for 1 hour 15 minutes from Kyiv, the host knew this and the bus picked us up an hour and a half later, without warning, this time we were all waiting in the hotel lobby, not knowing anything. For this - a minus! : -(

- Hotel.
So, the Hilton Marsa Alam Nubian Resort hotel is located 30 km. from the airport, and 40 km. from the city of Marsa Alam, on the shores of the Gulf of Abu Dabbab. In addition to this hotel, this place is located: the hotel El Malikia Resort Abu Dabbab and a public beach. I must say right away that the hotel in terms of service, cleanliness, food and the quality of the rooms is noticeably better than all the other Egyptian "fives" that I have been to, but there are spots in the sun. The buildings are located side by side, compactly, densely, approximately at the same distance from the sea. There is nowhere to take a walk - the hotel area is not very large, there are a lot of buildings - 24, according to the map. We were offered a room in building number 23, on the first floor. This is the "second line" of buildings, immediately behind the "sea view" buildings, the numbers in which are at 150 USD. e.
more expensive, but the sea is not much more visible from them - everything is blocked by a high fence entwined with greenery and a ridge of sandy hills. In short, I recommend building 23, the location is good, and there seems to be no gorgeous sea view from this hotel at all.

Wi-Fi in the hotel is weak and “not regular”, in the evenings it’s completely “sad”, but I had enough for mail and messages. There is wired internet in the rooms, but for a fee. The staff at the hotel is polite, begging for money is not noticed, however, too friendly and sociable, on the verge of obsession.

- Rooms. The reception asked (no money) for a quieter room, offered in the 23rd building. The room is excellent, the sea is a bit visible. Silence arranged, however, the whole hotel is very quiet and calm. There was also a smell of old tobacco in the room, but I smell some smell in any room of any hotel. I only come to the room to sleep, so I don’t pay much attention to such trifles.
The room is spacious, 2 single beds in our version, a combined bathroom (a real bathroom behind a curtain, not a shower; a washbasin with a large mirror and a hairdryer (the hairdryer did not work well, it blew weakly and the air was barely warm), toilet and bidet; shampoo, shower gel and soap replenished), wardrobe in the corridor, a terrace with chairs and a table, then a lawn. In the minibar, drinks (6 cans: beer, cola sprite) once, upon check-in, and a 1.5 liter bottle of water are placed daily. There is also a kettle-cups, bags of tea-coffee-sugar, replenished daily. There is an ironing board and iron in the closet. Safe with a numeric keypad in the room, quite voluminous. A large flat TV, a telephone and something like a small multimedia center with a clock - none of this was used as unnecessary. There are bathroom scales in the room, they did not work, for some this may be a plus.
; -) Cleaning daily, the cleaner put a dollar every other day, no problems, but cleaning is of average cleanliness. Immediately, without question, they give two keys to the room, to each his own. There were no bathrobes and slippers in the room, you may have to ask, I didn’t try it.
Mosquitoes are poisoned, in the room and near the building they are seen in small quantities. There was a fumigator in the room, non-working, they asked to replace it - they brought the same one, also burned out. Fortunately, there was still one, they etched mosquitoes in the room in a couple of days. Air conditioning worked well, but noisy of course. Another fan hangs from the ceiling, the air drives.

A serious (for me personally! ) disadvantage was bed linen with synthetics (or fully synthetic? ), not 100% cotton for sure - it floats, it is uncomfortable to sleep under it.

- Nutrition. The food is excellent! Breakfasts are always the same, but the choice of dishes is large, impressive! And lunches and dinners are varied, every evening there is something on the grill, only one day was not there.
Seafood is not always, but served: crabs, squid, octopus. Meat, fish, chicken (options turkey, duck) every lunch and dinner - delicious, plenty, varied. Vegetables, appetizers and side dishes are all there. Dishes (salads and appetizers) prepared from what is left of the previous meal have been noticed, but which of the Egyptian "fives" does not sin with this? : -)) We just didn't take it. Selection of fruits: bananas, tangerine oranges, grapefruits, dates, pomegranate, guava, melons, watermelons, apples, dates. Also dried fruits: raisins, dried apricots, dates. Assorted packaged juices. Decent coffee - only for the money, it's good that I don't drink it! : -)))
In bars, in addition to drinks, "snacks", you can dine on the beach, but the choice of food is limited. Ice cream after dinner in the bars, quite tasty. Cocktails are prepared, but I haven’t tried it, I can’t say about the quality. Also did not try any hard alcohol, judging by the bottles - the usual Egyptian assortment of locally produced nonsense.
Experienced people put a sign "Do not disturb" near the umbrella, I liked the idea, I recommend it!

- Services and entertainment. Animation and entertainment are almost constant, starting with morning exercises and ending with a night disco. During the day - near the pools and on the beach, evening program - in different places. The animation team consists of 5 people, only one girl (Marina) is Russian-speaking - big hello! The animators organized exercises, games, some of them worked with the children, in the evenings they arranged a show with dances; besides them in the evenings there were also invited artists.

The weather was good, the wind was intermittent, but not cold, pleasant. The water is warm (more than +22), but, as it has been written many times, it is cloudy. I think the waves are raising turbidity from the sandbar. There are not very many fish, but there are different beautiful ones, the corals are not bad. Hit places - sea turtles, large, about a meter in length.
They graze on the sandy bottom, overgrown with algae, in the middle of the bay (coral reefs - on the left and right, turtles between them). It is on them that several excursions per day are brought to this place.
The people in the hotel rest - mostly Europe: Germany, Poland, Italy, Czech Republic, France. "Sovka" different - no more than two dozen people for the entire hotel, which is good news! Very cool rest!

I had a great rest, but I don’t see the point in going there again. From Sharm El Sheikh, by and large, a noticeable difference is only in turtles, by sea - worse than my favorite Domina Coral Bay, it's harder to get there, and the money is noticeably more expensive. I don't like turtles that much - just look and that's enough! ; -)
Have a good holiday everyone!
