3rd time in Egypt, from 11/26/11 to 12/10/11, we used to be in Sharm: Laguna Vista Beach 5 and Sea Club 5. All hotels are very different, it makes little sense to compare, each has its pros and cons.
FLIGHT. Departure from Kyiv to Hurghada via Pegasus and UIA on a Boeing 747. All without delay. We drove from Hurghada for about 4 hours on a large half-empty bus. The journey is tedious, but interesting - between the sea, the desert, the mountains and the "colorful" Egyptian villages. It is worth seeing and realizing that Ukrainians do not live so badly.
HOTEL. Externally, the hotel is beautiful, but not impressive, as it is 90% ready, the greenery has just been planted, and the palm trees are hidden from the winds. But, everything is neat and thought out, so in the future it will be a very beautiful hotel. Lots of bars and pools, one of which is very hot. I was pleased with the gym and its secluded location, although closer to 17:00 it was packed. Previously, in the reviews they wrote that there were no trash cans on the territory of the hotel, now there are, and wherever possible: separately for paper, plastic, etc. The buildings near the beach itself have not yet been put into operation, finishing work is underway, and so quietly that you don’t even notice. The hotel is being built, pools and communications are being finalized, wind protection has appeared on the beach, a pontoon is planned.

ROOM. 2502.1st floor. It's something. Everything you need is there and everything works. The design is very interesting. The room has a large terrace with a seating area and a view of the desert with the sea. The safe with an electronic lock fits everything, including a laptop. A fumigator is installed in the room, so no living creatures could be found. But on the first night they left a small crack on the terrace and in the morning a arrogant and greedy Egyptian mosquito formed. Greed killed him... After that, they slept with the window closed, sometimes they turned on the air conditioner in the ventilation mode. One mosquito sometimes still flew in, how - it's not clear (probably during cleaning), I had to catch it, since the walls are white.
NUTRITION. The dishes are few but every day new and VERY well prepared. Very tasty and satisfying. There are a lot of drinks, juices and water, poured into huge glasses, after Sharma it’s even unusual. All potato dishes are incredibly tasty. The pastries of this hotel are like a drug, impossible to refuse.
STAFF. Offset, only the janitor didn't catch the fountain. Hotel guide NEW - Batyr, a Russian, educated and well-mannered. It was nice to chat.
BEACH. Of course, it’s far away, but after such a meal you need to warm up, but if you’re too lazy, an electric car often drives. On the beach there is a cool bar and 3 shower bases with hot water, a toilet. Only there are no changing cabins, but judging by the work of the welder, cabins are on the way. On the 4th day, it burned down, although it didn’t seem that the sun was active, the wind season was in full swing... On the hotel’s beach, entry into the sea is prohibited, since a coral reef begins from the very shore, but, as always, there were a couple of idiots rushing through the corals to the sea, at the same time, one (like an Italian) did not reach (the idiot was carried barefoot), and the second (German) was chased away from the corals by snorkelers. In a place where it is forbidden to walk on corals, we saw a small (50 centimeters long) snake.

SEA. The water was surprisingly high and comfortable temperature. The left coral reef is not so hot for the first 100 - 150 meters, but closer to the first boat, there is a living coral garden. Beyond the second boat is beauty. On the reef at a shallow depth, I didn’t like a large number of surgeon fish, which are strangely aggressive, I was actually driven off the reef twice, I had to swim away. The variety of fish is impressive, I have not seen this in Sharma hotels. In general, it is very similar to the Ras Mohamed reserve, only better and free))). Near the left reef at a shallow depth swims a small turtle - Mashka. A local diver said that there are many turtles and dugong. If you enter a place fenced with buoys, swim 50 meters forward along the left reef, and then turn right to the center of the bay, opposite the flag of the diving center, you will find a site with dead corals, immediately after it, a grassy bottom begins deep into the bay, where at about 7:30 morning caught divers with a huge turtle, the size of a man! There are a lot of turtles, at least 7. In one swim, we managed to see 6 turtles, sometimes two or three in one place at the same time. During the day, right next to the flag of the diving center, a turtle flounders at a depth of less than 1 meter. There is nothing to catch there without fins, there is a strong current, both towards the shore and away from it. It is interesting to walk near the Hilton beach: at low tide, small hedgehogs ride (we saved them), and once we walked after swimming and right next to us a brown octopus crawled out onto the shore, but while we were recovering from the shock, he swam away, did not have time to take a picture... A bunch of living creatures are hiding in small shells on the shore. A very thoughtful step turned out to be two boats moored near the reef, if anything, you can hold on to their ropes, or even get out on them, after all, 500 meters from the shore and the depth is decent. We saw a lot of fish, and every day new incredible specimens appear, octopuses, lionfish and stingrays hide in corals at the bottom. Once with turtles we caught a huge stingray, at least 1.5 meters long, as long as a large turtle. With the beginning of the wind season (approximately from the beginning of December), fish noticeably decrease on the reef, probably hiding from the current and strong waves, and the water becomes noticeably colder. We swam every day, the sea is calm from 6 to 10 in the morning, then - as lucky.
ANIMATION. Saw some animators in the dining room. We didn’t intersect anymore, and it wasn’t interesting for us, the whole day the sea, food and the gym.
TOTALLY: when the hotel is 100% ready, taking into account the marine fauna, this is a paradise for snorkelers and divers. To go lying near the pools and get drunk - not here, which was shown by the contingent of visitors, many foreigners - quiet, cultured and with flippers.
