In Marsa Alam for the second time and, like last time, in January. In Egypt, in these parts and in winter, summer is hence the choice, given the mandatory winter vacation. We flew there on a direct flight to Marsa Alam Airport, it took 25-30 minutes to get to the hotel. Back through Hurghada 3 and a half hours by minibus (that's still extreme). But he knew what he was doing and why.
The HOTEL is indeed being completed and there should be two more buildings on the plan. I was settled just in the 12th building opposite which, in theory, there should be a construction site, but the construction site is fenced off with a decorative fence made of some kind of dry woven plants, absolutely no problems, I think that not everyone even guessed what was behind it.
The ROOM is spacious, with working appliances and plumbing, snow-white beds, scenery - this is 5 * definitely. Cleaning - it would be better if they didn’t clean it, the only weak point: they wipe the floor with one rag in one strip, the smell remains not very pleasant (has exhausted half of the Kenzo bottle), and I also met a centimeter red ant : )) I think it wouldn’t seem enough to me.
The TERRITORY of the hotel is large, in which, after the first dinner, I decently wandered to find my room, at first I did not understand the principle of numbering and signs, but in fact everything is simple. There are 5 swimming pools on the territory, 2 are heated, one of them with an imitation of a beach (with sand) but it was closed for repairs on the 15th : ( I only managed to splash in it once, the heating is real! I just don’t want to climb out at all, but I want to live in it : ) There are some ideas for entertaining children, in the 11th building there is a gym, a pharmacy and a medical center. As for the landscaping of the territory, lawns almost everywhere turn green, bushes bloom, hibiscus pleases, palm trees, apparently, not all have taken root.
The food was excellent, I ate almost everything. For breakfast, scrambled eggs with tomatoes, cheese and onions, and you can also add bacon, herbs and something else. Often in the morning there were fried sausages (this is most likely for guests from Germany, of whom there were 20% percent%) You pour yourself in the morning - mango juice, orange, apple, hibiscus + constantly plying waiters who ask what you will drink and promptly bring, the most kind Ibrahim just smart girl manages for two. For lunch I always took the first one - it is always, no matter how tasty it is, for the second one I mainly took chicken with potatoes (also cooked in different ways, but always tasty) juice, tea and desserts... here my eyes run wide. For dinner usually something grilled or poultry or meat.
The BEACH is good and not so far away as I first thought, I always walked, I went by train, but I think this is for old Germans. I practically didn’t live on the hotel’s beach, I went to the sunbeds halfway to the neighboring hotel to the left of the Hilton beach. There, in fact, entry into the sea, if you take it to the left, then it is along the reef wall, if to the right, then it is to the pasture of turtles.
The SEA is simply gorgeous, so many living creatures! I was just delighted when a medium-sized (1-1.2 meters) turtle began to rise to the surface to breathe, I caught on to it, but it was not even scared, but I thought about hefty stingrays, only that it’s good that they swim along the bottom, such a horror to see nearby - brrr.
But in general, the rest was a success, tanned exactly without fanaticism, in Hurghada everyone was pale and tortured by the cold, and some even seemed to come to Hurghada only for duty free, and Marsa Alam, as usual, won in this sense. The last day the wind knocked down, but this is the way home. And so, according to the weather, 3 days were calm and the water was almost transparent - the rest was blowing and the sea was worried, but we were used to not swimming in the waves or something.
Everything was good - there is not enough pier behind the coral wall, but otherwise a good hotel for all 5 * and so far with a not very high price.
