I want to share my impressions of our 28th vacation in Egypt, 12th in Mars Alami. Rested alone with her husband in the hotel "Three Corners Equinox 4 *" 9 nights, all-inclusive system. This hotel was chosen because of the interesting location: in the north in 20 minutes Abu Dabab Bay with corals and turtles, in the south "fresh" coral of the hotel "Sataya Resort 5 *", between them corals and the bay of "Three Corners Equinox 4 *".
Transfer: Flight Kyiv - Marsa Alam 4 hours, I want to note the airline "Azur" for punctuality and pleasant flight. Transfer by bus to the hotel about 40 minutes.
Accommodation and room: The hotel was about 8 o'clock in the morning. We were immediately offered breakfast. After breakfast we settled in free of charge, the only thing we had to wait for a change of room at our request (from the 1st floor to the 2nd). Room in the 1st building, small, with beautiful sea views. Do not expect special luxury. The repairs are old, but that's not the point.
For a comfortable stay there is everything you need: a balcony with a fabulous view (table and 2 chairs), 2 beds (we immediately moved them together), bedside tables, table, wardrobe, TV (not watched), air conditioning (not used), safe, kettle, tea, coffee, sugar, water (replenished daily), mini-bar (paid). The bathroom has a small hair dryer, from cosmetics only liquid soap in the dispenser (take everything you need with you). The cleaner cleaned well, replenished the water every day, asked if we were all right in the room. In my opinion, there are 2 problems. First: a room next to the diving center, in the morning you can hear the clatter of diving balloons, you will not be able to sleep for a long time. Second: very evil mosquitoes. It is good that we brought a fumigator with us, only it saved us from eating completely. Internet is free throughout the hotel, but weak, who needs to work, it is better to buy a local card.
Territory: the hotel is small, only 218 rooms. But everything is compact.
Greens are few, but it is carefully cared for. There are pools, but we do not swim in them. There are no slides. Disadvantages - very broken tracks between the buildings.
Food. Not bad for a 4 * hotel. We have seen both worse and better. The main restaurant: the choice of dishes is modest, but everything edible can always be found to your liking. The main thing is fresh products. Breakfasts are standard: omelet (cooked quickly), beans, sausages, cheese and meat slices, vegetables, fruits, pancakes, pastries, cereals.
For lunch and dinner 2 soups with different additives of your choice, several side dishes, pasta with different sauces, chicken, beef, burgers, fish (sometimes even tuna or mackerel), steamed vegetables, salads, sliced vegetables, snacks, pastries, desserts, fruits. Once we had dinner with quality cooked seafood: crabs, shrimp and squid. In the evening they cook something on the grill. I want to praise for a corner with lots of spices and sauces to choose from. There is always a chef in the restaurant.
They went for drinks themselves, because the waiters are busy due to the large number of visitors.
You can have lunch and snacks in the "Panorama Bar". This is for those who love fast food. There is free ice cream.
You can sign up for a reception at an Italian restaurant on the beach for dinner. We went once, nothing special.
Bars: 4 of them are all-inclusive. Lobby Bar: can be located indoors, on the street. Sometimes there is live music. Beach bar with great sea views: in the evening there is an animation program. There is also a bar in the diving center on the beach. Powdered juices, there is coffee, tea, cola, sprite, schweps, soda. They make alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. Wine and beer are not bad for Egypt. There is a pool bar, but we did not reach it.
Animation: represented by a small international animation team + imported artists for evening shows. During the day, water aerobics, yoga, bocce, darts, volleyball.
Coral hotel: there is a sunset on the coral plateau. A few years ago, a mudslide descended on the hotel and the beach, damaging the hotel and part of the coral. In this place the entrance to the sea was formed, this area of coral is not bright, at a depth in the water are the remnants of wind barriers, already overgrown with coral. If you sail north along the coral reef, the colors become bright, the architecture and palette are diverse. The underwater world is rich. In addition to the bright "trifle", the group, tuna, stingrays, lionfish, flute, acupuncture, titanium spinors, rhinos, arotrons, pseudo-ballists, barracudas, crocodiles, cuttlefish and a flock of mackerel on the hunt. Constantly saw two coral turtles - the devil. In complete calm here is a paradise for snorkels. Sometimes a dugong comes.
Abu Dabab Bay:
We walked north to Abu Dabab Bay (20 minutes walk). Snorkels near the northern and southern corals, the northern brighter.
Corals are wonderful and so are many fish: gorgeous areas with antias, dascils and chromis, huge flutes, spinors, tuna, shoals of squirrels, cardinals, licorice, crows, scrubbers, cuttlefish, stingrays, various species of lionfish, and more. In the center of the bay for one swim met 10 green turtles, a huge leopard stingray, an eagle stingray, on the back of which rode a flute. Great impressions. I was very lucky with the weather, it was a storm for only 2 days, even then it was possible to swim, although it was muddy.
Diving Center: The hotel has a quality diving center, sent daily to various bays of divers and snorkels. We took an excursion south to the bay of Mars Muren. A beautiful comfortable yacht sails directly from the pontoon hotel. We were in the bay in about 40 minutes. Nothing new from the animals was found, but the corals are very beautiful and bright. There are incomparable areas. I recommend.
Overall impression of the holiday: the hotel is quite high quality, especially for 4 *, but there are some drawbacks. Of the "minuses" I note the lack of fumigators in the rooms in the presence of a huge number of mosquitoes, lack of shampoos, balms, the need to repair rooms and renovate the paths between buildings, lack of staff in the restaurant. The main thing you need to understand for yourself if you choose this hotel is that it is not a luxury resort. This is a 4 * hotel: small rooms, modest area, the usual Egyptian architecture, a small selection of dishes in the restaurant. Don't expect anything special. This hotel is also absolutely not suitable for families with children (no smooth sandy entrance to the sea, no infrastructure, no entertainment). Most vacationers are divers, surfers and kitesurfers from Europe.
Among the "pluses" I will highlight the beautiful location of the hotel for snorkeling and diving, a cozy room, excellent service, healthy food, fun and a good diving center. The sea did not disappoint, and I have something to compare. The hotel left a very positive impression. I would like to come back here again.
