BEACH: gently sloping entrance to the sea, a lot of sun loungers (not all are in good condition), torn hammocks, bins full of garbage, the sea is excellent (it is the main advantage), there are no red flags, beach towels (shabby, old and faded) are issued only once for the whole rest (there are no options to give today for washing, and tomorrow to take a clean one). … More ▾ BEACH: gently sloping entrance to the sea, a lot of sun loungers (not all are in good condition), torn hammocks, bins full of garbage, the sea is excellent (it is the main advantage), there are no red flags, beach towels (shabby, old and faded) are issued only once for the whole rest (there are no options to give today for washing, and tomorrow to take a clean one).
HOTEL TERRITORY: beautiful and well-groomed, many cacti, flower bushes, clean.
ACCOMMODATION: check-in only after 14:00, and not free of charge (in a good room for 30, and in the best for 40 dollars).
ROOM: cold, smell from mattresses, air conditioning not working. There is no safe or hair dryer. Sockets sparkle. There is no hot water. The furniture is very old and falling apart. Bed linen and towels are badly torn. The balcony door does not close.
CLEANING and SANITATION: there is no dry or wet cleaning when cleaning the room, only garbage removal. They don't change the bed, they just make the blankets. The balcony is not cleaned either. For such "cleaning" require a dollar. No mask regime is observed and no one changes the temperature at the entrance to the dining room.
STAFF: generally friendly.
FOOD: tasty, but monotonous. There is fish and meat every day, from the fruits of orange, tangerine, dates. Desserts are so-so (biscuit and jelly). Lots of salads and herbs. The food is put by the employees themselves, and here you need to beg for every bite. The staff do not have gloves and masks, and they were noticed that they touched the nose, and then put food. The Germans are served out of turn or have their food brought to the table. Coffee is available only in the morning. Tea is brewed in the morning, and for lunch and dinner, they simply add water, i. e. there will be light water for dinner, not tea. The administrator himself tops up the water in the kettles. When walking around the hall with his own hands (washed or not, it is not clear), he takes food from common trays and puts it in his mouth. This is darkness.
OTHER: due to the lack of hot water and sanitizers, there are many coughing tourists. There is no animation. The room is cold. If you want to get sick or ruin your vacation, this is the place for you!
If the owner of the hotel is really a German, then this is not a pedant, but a mean scarecrow who thinks to leave only on smiling staff. But it doesn't work!

The condition of the rooms is very sad - everything is sooo old with all the consequences.
When you check in, they ask 15-20 bucks for a "good room, brother! " If you don't pay, you'll be waiting for 14.00.
The food is monotonous, there is little fruit (melon, orange and dates - everything. )
Alcohol - swill. Juices are like water.
The contingent is mostly married couples and old people... Only for lovers of silence or their own company.

Let me tell you, we liked it. There are many small minuses that do not critically affect the overall impression. There are many small minuses that do not critically affect the overall impression. But I am writing this especially for fastidious people, who will later write: “Well, you deceived us, praised us, but here it’s bad, and that. ”
In any, even the best hotel, there will always be a person who will say: "This is the worst hotel in my life. " Conversely, there will be enthusiastic fanatics in any superder. me. The main disadvantages of this hotel are connected not so much with the hotel itself, but with the country as a whole, with the "tourist traditions" of Egypt, and, accordingly, with the attitude of people towards these tourists. I will write about the pros and cons in order.
1. The first impression was terrible. We arrived early, at 7 in the morning, we were told that there was no check-in yet, come at 8. We went for a walk around the territory, and went into the far part, which is abandoned. According to Egyptian law, there should now be 70% occupancy. Apparently, therefore, part of the hotel has been untouched since 2019. It is a pity that a cozy pool with chairs right in the water near the bar, which is in the photo of the hotel, also got here. When you look at this photo, understand that this pool and bar are not working.
So, there are almost no people, a strong wind, an abandoned territory, for completeness of impressions, it was not enough only for a tumbleweed to sweep - it would be an exact American horror film at a gas station. )))
2. But this is only a small part. Most of the territory is very beautiful, green, well-groomed and makes a great impression. Much later, after the passage of time, we went and enjoyed, and it was one of the most vivid impressions of the hotel. And the pictures come out amazingly beautiful, you feel just like on the paradise islands.
3. Continuing the topic of accommodation and "hospitality", I should note that this is not observed at all. Maybe someone is lucky, but we are absolutely not. We were thrashed as best we could. When we arrived at 8, it turned out that that man was no longer there, and there were new ones who didn’t even know about us, began to demand a voucher and passports again. Thrash. And again - come at 9. Somewhere around 9 it turned out that the check-in is only from 14 (this is understandable, but they didn’t know this before? And they couldn’t say? ), And bracelets will be put on only from 12. That is. We don't get to breakfast any more. This despite the fact that we had a night flight, and all this time, we naturally did not sleep and did not eat. Weird hospitality. Very soon it became clear that they just stupidly want to rip off money from us. Praised here by some orderers, Mustafa is a scoundrel and extortionist. This is who I DO NOT RECOMMEND. Later we realized that it is better to turn to English speakers. The problem will be solved (at least it will be solved at all) relatively quickly and without money. But at that moment, this freak told us in plain text that there are rooms, but we will only check you in at 14. But if you want, then now, "but it's not free. " And demanded $20. As a rule, I don’t fall for this, and we didn’t have such a thing in any hotel before. But here we were too tired and exhausted. I gave him 10 dollars. Enough. We were immediately settled, though in some old shabby room, but we had no time for ceremonies. The porter praised all the far-fetched splendors of this room for so long, turned on the old air conditioner, climbed into the shower, opened the balcony, and in the end he almost lay down in bed, groaned for 5 minutes until they gave him 5 dollars. (There wasn’t less, stock up on small ones in advance) to get out.
4. The room, in general, is not bad. With Egyptian elements, with a small dusty balcony. You can live. The air conditioner is old and very noisy. The TV is tiny - from the 80s, didn't work at all at first. After going to the reception, they fixed it, though there was little sense from it. Already very small and shows with interference. The doors are very old, cracked, they close very badly, with great difficulty.
With water - very funny. Nothing comes out of a hot tap at all, but boiling water pours out of a cold one, you need to let it drain for a few minutes, then warm water will pour out. Forget the cold, it doesn't happen. The shower is small, but in general, everything is fine.
5. The pool is lovely. Very large, with an island, which can be reached by a bridge. There are two waterfalls under which you can chill very cool. Entrance from several sides with very cool steps. Right next to the pool bar, toilet, in general, chic. And the view is something! Palm trees give the impression of a paradise island, and the sea is very close, so that both the pool and the sea are visible from many angles. For photos, and indeed for perception - just amazing. There are enough beds. With incomplete occupancy of the hotel, there are no problems with them.
Of the minuses - near the pool they do not remove dirt and sand at all. It was ok at first, but after a few days, the steps turned into back roads. Uncritical, but annoying.
Another minus - in the evening they are harshly kicked out, you can’t swim. And even if you deceive "vigilance", then in the evening they pour into the pool, some kind of dirty trick like bleach, which floats there for a long time right in pieces - you can't buy it.
But in the evening there is a very beautiful backlight, you can sit somewhere by the pool, with or without a drink, and just enjoy the views.
6. Drinks. I liked the beer, it is bottled here, which are opened right in front of you. Those. and there is a degree and at least some guarantee that it is not divorced.
Of the non-alcoholic, almost all are very sweet. This in itself is a problem for those who do not like sugary, and it does not play in an alcoholic cocktail. Several times they tried to take whiskey-cola - so sweet that it is simply impossible to drink. The usual gin and tonic for other hotels is also impossible - there is no tonic at all, in principle, and gin is extremely rare, and therefore consider that it is also absent. As a result, I had to take separately, but the alcohol is not very good. The concept of normal cocktails like "blue lagoon" is not here at all, because there are no liquors. In general, everything is very sad with alcohol.
Customers (they write rave reviews obviously on order, praise those whom it is impossible to praise) say that they came with their own, and everything is fine then. It's up to you, but you must admit, it's strange. Going to all-inclusive with your own alcohol is like going to Tula with your own samovar. That’s why I’m going to all-inclusive, so that everything is already there, and so as not to run to other shops and restaurants. Otherwise, it is no longer all-inclusive. Then take the most seedy two without meals somewhere in the city, and run on excursions, shops and restaurants, and don't call it all-inclusive.
7. Food. Generally tolerable. There is not much variety. But what is usually good. Delicious ricotta-type cheese, sour cream dressing with tomato, some good salads for lunch, once there was a very tasty grilled meat. Good rice.
Otherwise, sadness again. It was especially infuriating that for breakfast you have to stand in line for an omelet. I have not seen this anywhere. It is not prepared in advance, but only by order, it is done extremely slowly, with ambition, without overworking, and there are a lot of people. And one person does it. As a result, breakfast, which should have taken 15 minutes, takes an hour. Pancakes are extremely strange tasteless, and there is also a huge queue for them.
The main dishes do not know how to cook or do not try. The potatoes and pasta are terrible. Meat or fish served for dinner as a specialty is dry and tasteless, often the meat is not even chewed. Frozen fish in batter like hake is normal, but many said that it was terrible, you can’t eat it. I could eat, nothing special, but not terrible either.
With sweet problems. There is simply no good, there is very little mediocre, mostly frank der. mo. From fruits, ONLY terribly green melon and nightmarishly tasteless dates. Just trouble.
The restaurant itself is good, there were always enough places, there is serving right away, so you don’t have to run around looking for a place and appliances. The waiters run around and often clean the plates. This is a big plus. BUT!
But only employees fill you up, and although there are some advantages here (savings, no one sneezes in a salad), but otherwise, this is a problem. The problem with the attitude of the Egyptians. On the one hand, there are a lot of them, and when not needed, they swarm around you like flies. But when needed, they are not. Often you have to wait until the filler finally deigns to come up and pour something for you, and sometimes it’s just egregious cases: you stand right in front of him with a plate, ask for something, he stupidly turns around and leaves. And in general, they like to look as if you are not there, through, and in every possible way to show that you do not exist. Until you give money, there will be a look through you, you are an insect.
8. This, apparently, is connected with what all of Egypt has now become. A country of beggars, traders, beggars and extortionists. The hotel behaves calmly, at times intrusive, but without fanaticism. 3 times a day, endless submarine sellers and masseurs will make a detour around you, once again they will be surprised, how is it that you don’t need a massage? Is that the most important thing in life? Annoying, but tolerable.
If you went outside the hotel - get ready! It will be very difficult for an unaccustomed person. My wife had a culture shock, she went out once, returned with a severe headache and refused to go out any further. The fact is that every Egyptian, to whom you got within a radius of 100 meters, considers you prey, you already owe him from the very beginning, you are obliged to give him money, because you are his wallet and victim. Here all sorts of tricks are used, which I will not describe, but this does not end with anything good for mental health. It is especially infuriating that you literally won’t be left alone for a second, it’s impossible to just walk around, look. There will be a swarm around, howling, shouting, “How are you”, “Karasho”, “Hot”, “Come on”, “Come on, come on”, “You promised” (did not say a word), “You promised me three times ”(The first time he came out at all), “ And my mother is also from Kyiv ”(by the way, a very common type of lure: they find out where you are from, and their relatives magically immediately jump out from there). You simply simply will not be allowed to concentrate on anything, and they will confuse your head.
Nearby, 5 meters away, there is a booth where everyone gets a visa for 25 dollars. There is no queue, it takes a second, no problem at all. But the ENTIRE huge plane (more than 300 people) went to these racks, no one listened to me, everyone paid 27. Out of the blue, Anex-tour fraudulently earned 600 dollars! Thrash! And it's official, everyone knows about it. But in Egypt, to deceive a tourist is a sacred thing. I can see how they get together in the evening and brag about how who fooled what sucker today, and how much money he fooled out of this idiot.
Further more. They drove us for a very long time with endless waiting and arrivals. We arrived at 3.30 at night, but got to the hotel only at 7. This despite the fact that the hotel is 60 km away. Normally, the journey should have taken an hour, but we only sat on the bus at the airport for more than an hour, waiting for something incomprehensible, because. all the people have long since gathered. The agreement says that the check-in on the road will be a maximum of 3 hotels. We stopped at at least 6. And everywhere the guide ran away for a long time and it is not clear what he was doing there.
The hotel guide is a different story. Instead of quickly neatly telling the main things, and letting people go to rest, which would have taken a maximum of 20 minutes, he first 1.5 hours snared us with his strange Russian language and dubious humor, and then he also arranged a queue to sign up for excursions. And with each for a very long time something decided. In the end, I could not stand this mockery, and said that we do not take any excursions, let us go for God's sake. To which he was very surprised and angry - for some reason he was sure that we were obliged to take all the excursions from him, and only do what to ride on them every day. He even made me sign some kind of frog paper that we are refusing excursions. What for? One Egyptian god knows. In short, another 2 hours crossed out of the rest, and additional loss of nerve cells. If there is an opportunity not to go to a meeting - do not go, just register with him when you fly away, and quickly run away))
All excursions can be taken at the hotel. There is an office near the bar by the sea, a normal man sits there, and, by the way, he has everything the same, but cheaper. Bargain.
10. Cleaning. No questions. Towels and toilet paper were changed every day. They laid out figuratively, and when we put in a dollar, they even built a swan. Very nice.
The problem was with a very warm blanket. Firstly, in such heat, it is basically unrealistic to sleep under it, and secondly, it is uncomfortable for two people under one blanket. Asked for two sheets. First, in the morning they came to the reception to the vaunted Mustafa, he promised that he would do it. Nothing. In the afternoon, after lunch, I call the reception desk, he takes it and promises with an oath that everything will be done now. In the evening - again nothing. That bastard didn't even lift a finger. Only after the third evening trip and communication with the English-speaking porter, everything was done for us, and almost immediately. Do not contact the Russian speakers, and especially the vile extortionist Mustafa.
11. About toilet paper, which was added every day, I wrote for a reason. My wife had a very upset stomach on the third day. We thought it was an accident and only with us. Nothing like this. As it turned out, at least half of the hotel had diarrhea. This despite the fact that everything is natural, they drank only bottled water, and in the end they even washed their faces and brushed their teeth with it. From the tap - absolutely not. There were still huge problems, probably because of the food or the water in which it is boiled. In general, be prepared, stock up on pills.
12. Animation. In principle, nothing like that, the guys are trying. Water aerobics is fun. Fun. In the evening there are sometimes "invited guests", but their level is clearly not very good. I just liked the fire show. When there are no guests, the animators do something themselves. It's so stupid, primitive and vulgar that in the end it even becomes funny. All normal people sit with bulging eyes and look at each other in amazement, “Do you see this too?! ”. Then hysterical laughter begins. Arabs especially like it. Indeed, inexperienced guys rejoice and giggle literally at any shown finger. The amphitheater has a bar, you can take something and look at it all. Sometimes helps))
But the main problem is not in this, but in the fact that the amphitheater is made in a pit, it does not blow through, and sitting there on stuffy Egyptian evenings is the same as in a sauna. Very hard.
13. You have to get used to the weather and be ready for it. The weather is very windy in the morning and very stuffy in the evenings. It's just hard to breathe, like in a steam room. During the day, it is generally advisable not to leave the room, or chill near the pool. Otherwise it's very hard.
14. And most importantly - the sea!! ! That's where the main delight is, and that's what overshadows all the other minor flaws. You will spend most of the time here, which means everything will be fine.
The entrance is very good. For a long time shallow, sandy, and it's good for kids. Then corals begin, it is dangerous to go there without a mask. But with a mask - a delight, be sure to take it! The reef is small and unfortunately dying. More than half of its territory is already dead. But what remains is worthy of daily sailing, study, delight and amazement. For the inexperienced - just shine! A wide variety of fish, and with each dive, there are sure to be new ones. Those parts of the reef that remained are very beautiful, especially noticeable at sunrise, and 2 hours before sunset. I recommend getting up early and snorkeling. Then it's not hot yet, the fish just come into activity, the sun beautifully illuminates the corals. My wife and I even saw a turtle once. All the rest, declared stingrays, octopuses, etc. Neither we nor any of the respondents saw it.
You need to remember about sea urchins, of which there are hundreds, and which hide under the corals in the morning, and crawl upstairs in the evening. One handsome man walked with his legs right on the reefs, earned 15 needles. They took it out. He put on crocs (coral shoes) and went back there again, naturally pierced his leg again. They say to him, why did you go there again, there are hedgehogs? So I was in crocs! Funny. Have you seen sea urchin spines? Crocs don't help. I strongly advise against going where there are corals.
In general, if you are careful, everything is fine. There is a very well located bar right by the sea, where you can sit perfectly at almost any time, and especially in the evening.
15. General conclusion: the hotel has everything to have a great rest, if you don’t go out anywhere, don’t be very picky and put up with small minuses. A special delight for me personally is a pool with two waterfalls, and of course the sea. In the evening, the territory is very beautifully illuminated with lanterns - you walk like in a fairy tale. Where are those Maldives! ))
In total, we had a very good rest, the hotel can be safely recommended.

I don't understand how the hotel got a high score and good reviews. . . How and why did people leave them? ! Based on such reviews, we chose Lotus Bay at the time. . . How and why did people leave them? ! Based on such reviews, we chose Lotus Bay at the time. . .
To begin with, I will list the advantages of the hotel: 1. a fairly good beach on the first coast (albeit with a nuance, there are many yachts nearby, sometimes it stank of diesel fuel), 2. beautiful and well-groomed hotel territory, 3. the hotel itself is tired, of course, but not critical (especially considering the fact that we got a room from the renovated ones, and it objectively pulled for a weak four. And there is also an old number of rooms, and there is generally darkness in terms of furniture and plumbing). 4. cleaned the rooms not bad for Egypt
Now briefly about the shortcomings that you need to know, but which could well be closed your eyes, from my point of view, in the absence of other glaring jambs: 1. furniture and plumbing in the rooms are tired, even in renovated rooms, 2. sun loungers on the beach are collapsed for the most part, broken or out of breath, 3. towels - both beach and in the room - in a terrible state, they really had to be thrown away a long time ago. They are disgusting to use. 4. And yes, in all rooms, with a few exceptions, there is no hair dryer, kettle and safe. 5. Animation is very weak, almost non-existent. But personally, this item suited us. 6. The beach and the sea are dirty, its hotel workers are too lazy to clean up and the vacationers themselves clean up so as not to swim in the garbage.

And now briefly about why we do not recommend this hotel and why we gave such a low score. HORRIBLE FOOD and HORRIBLE SERVICE!! ! Guys, seriously, these two nuances were so significant and ugly that they blocked all the advantages of rest in this hotel. We did not expect to see such a disgusting service on vacation. Nowhere!
Firstly, the food was immediately clear that for a weak C grade - no variety and no fruit !! ! (although, in terms of cooking, more often the dishes were tasty than tasteless. Of course, a lot of spices and salt, everything is very spicy and specific... But this could be understood and accepted, and not so scary) For 14 days we saw oranges , dates and green tasteless melons every day. Two times - grapes: the first time there was so little of it that we simply did not even have time to try it, it was crushed in a few minutes, the second time we managed to take it, but most of it had to be thrown away (I write without exaggeration), because. he was corrupted. And once they took out a watermelon! The cook cut it into small, small, thin pieces and gave three pieces per person. The thickness of the pieces on my plate was about 1 cm. My husband and daughter were even less lucky: the thickness of their pieces went from a centimeter on one side to millimeters on the other ((((And that's all)))
Supplements were not given, and these unfortunate three pieces per person were given out in such a way that it became uncomfortable. The husband at that time had already been brought to their "service" (I will describe below) and went to the store during dinner for a watermelon, bought a huge watermelon and defiantly brought it to the dining room to eat normally and treat friends. The lack of choice and the normal quality of fruits on vacation in a southern country really bothered me. We had to buy fruit in the shops opposite the hotel.
About food in the dining room (you can’t call it a restaurant). Milk is terribly diluted with water. Sometimes it was water bleached with milk. Juices of very dubious quality and highly diluted. We, like many tourists with whom we talked, bought tea and coffee separately in the store. The pastries are not fresh and also in a small assortment. We didn't see seafood at all. Fish of the same type, in batter, often poorly cooked. Barbecue was once or twice (can't remember exactly).
I already wrote about the lack of diversity, it was very striking. The tables were half empty. "The service went down a lot in Egypt after the coronovirus" - yes, this is what we observed in the hotel and which was obvious to everyone if we are talking about food.
But even this could be understood and forgiven (in any case, it would not have made such a big impression on us, and it would not have spoiled the rest), if not for the SERVICE ITSELF !!!
Due to the anti-COVID measures, it was impossible to serve anything (except cereals and milk) in the dining room, and the cooks served all the dishes. It took a lot of time and effort to take food for yourself, because. chefs often managed to leave the lines altogether and leave them without anyone... There were always queues for salads and side dishes. And that is not all! That IMPRESCE, that OPEN RUDE, with which the cooks allowed themselves to impose food on us, was cut down !! ! They served it with a look as if uninvited guests broke into their personal home and devoured them... They stole very small portions, especially meat and fish. Although, rice and potatoes too. . . Requests for more were often ignored! ! And then they refused to impose an additive ! ! And it's not just us. We rested with a large company, met many guys and talked there. Everyone was shocked, to put it mildly, from such an attitude...
The cooks allowed themselves to throw food on plates and throw plates on the line when I stood with my hand outstretched to take it... At the end of the rest, it was very annoying. I’ll make a reservation right away that not all cookies behaved this way, but most. They say they have such a policy there - to save on each client. I willingly believe it. I felt it on myself and my family, watched many other vacationers...
People, but the Slavs do not need to go there with such a service !! ! When the Germans arrived (and they had not been at the hotel since the beginning of our holiday), we saw that these Arabs were able to properly serve... the Germans. This was noticeable both in the dining room and in the bars. Unpleasant, to put it mildly.

And yet, our toilet broke on the sixth day... It just clogged... And it was repaired only on the 13th day. Thirteenth, Carl! ! With a child in this room. And every day from the 6th to the 13th we asked, and they fed us breakfast and / or pretended to fix something there...
A separate song is the history of poisonings. The child and I ended up in the hospital. My daughter vomited blood, I had wild nausea and frustration, my husband too. We were dripped, given a bag of medicines for each and sent back to recover. For you to understand, all the guys with whom we rested and just met at the hotel suffered from various problems with the gastrointestinal tract. All except for one elderly couple (they drank something for the precautionary disorder every day on the advice of their daughter) and one girl, who at that time had been resting for almost a week. Well, I don’t know how things were going for her further, because. I also didn’t feel bad right away, but on the sixth day in the evening. In short, to say that it was strained is to say nothing at all. The uncleanliness of the Arabs led to outbreaks of infection and such trouble for vacationers.
This attitude of the staff causes amazement, disappointment and reluctance to return to Lotus Bay ever again. It's good that we were lucky with the company))) We met wonderful people, communication with which morally compensated for the nerves spent on the horrors of the hotel.
If you still have a rest in Lotus Bay or in other hotels nearby (and they turned out to be very good there), then here's what I can add in terms of shopping recommendations: in Grisha's shop (it's next to the hotel, when you go out - to the left) I do not advise buying anything. Both its owner, "Grisha", and his employee allow themselves to let go of beautiful women (there was a story with us, and with a German woman who had a rest before us... there, in general, the matter almost came to the police). And opposite the hotel there is a shop "1001" - it's the other way around, a tactful and simply educated Egyptian works, from whom it is pleasant to buy oils, teas, etc. , who knows how to communicate normally and does not deceive.
And, well, and yet, do not be fooled by the persuasion of tour operators immediately and at a high price to buy excursions from them! Excursions can be bought from local guys for quite norms. price, if persistently and skillfully bargain)

To get from Hurghada 60 km, whoever is lucky in time. We drove for 1.5 hours, as the bus was large and brought guests to other hotels. We arrived almost at night, they gave us the keys (they never gave a normal room in Egypt without a baksheesh, but I always hope and again in vain... ). The room is dead, I can stand it, but the air conditioner hummed like a jet plane and spewed water from the inside onto the bed, but then I had to get money and go to the reception for an exchange. … More ▾ To get from Hurghada 60 km, whoever is lucky in time. They showed me a new room, gave me the key, and I decided that it would be easy to find. We took bags and went to wander through the labyrinths of identical streets and houses. This went on for a very long time and, realizing that I couldn’t cope on my own, I decided to ask for help from the passing staff, they were also confused, but after 40 minutes we found the room. I kept thinking why my husband was so quiet at that moment and dutifully rolled his suitcase, and then I saw a bottle of drunk whiskey from Duty Free! Thank God this store exists.
The room is good, renovated, far from the hustle and bustle, room 243 if anyone is interested, this is the first floor.
Restaurant. I am not a fan of oriental food. Everything is standard here, I have nothing to eat, it’s good that there are toasts and good-tasting soups, they bake cakes for dinner. Very poor food and fruits. My husband disagrees with me. The main thing is that there is air conditioning.
Beach. Good, wide. There are a couple of islands with semi-dead corals, we have seen the turtle many times, it comes to have breakfast, sometimes for dinner.
I want to mention the rescuer Ali, good friendly, but most importantly, he helped those who stepped on the hedgehog. I'm always a part-time interpreter in places like this. People, learn English, well, it’s a shame that everyone knows, and Ukrainians and Russians in general can only poke a finger, and even then, not always in the right place. So, in my presence, he saved three of them from hedgehog thorns and from being ripped off by a local doctor, saving each of them $200. There are a lot of boats on the sea and there were fears that this would cause inconvenience in the form of smells or debris in the sea, but, fortunately, this did not bother us. And the garbage was driven from the city beach, where the locals crap to the fullest, they throw everything into the sea, a very sad sight.
Infrastructure. There is a main pool, everyone swims there and there is on the beach, near the spa, it was our personal one, no one swam there, but in vain, the views are gorgeous. There are two bars, one by the sea, where foreigners plunge into the world of alcohol to the hits of the 80s and the second near the animation, it is noisy there, but not as interesting as in the drunken one by the sea.
Animation. I liked the fact that my teenage child disappeared there for some time and did not eat my brain with a teaspoon that she was bored. Aladdin is a good animator, friendly, well done, he devoted himself to work at 100. Aquajim, volleyball, bocha and evening animation.
Spa. Offered on site. The guides are all liars, they offer a spa in Hurghada, but they are silent about it.
I liked it (I almost always take the spa in the hotel, so this Turkish hammam is very good). First, a bath, a hammam, then peeling, foam masses and a relaxing body mass. The whole procedure lasted 1.5 hours, bargained for $25. Attention! No jacuzzi and this is not Turkey, good for Egypt.
Exit outside the hotel. Opposite there are markets, shops, cafes. There is a pharmacy on the right. We bought mango. In the green store you will definitely be fooled. The first time I sold a mango for 4 dollars, although everywhere for 2, the second time we exchanged money for pounds and downloaded a table of Arabic numerals. The price is announced 46 pounds, on the price tag 37, the seller was very upset. But for the third time he took off the price tag and still sold more expensive (he had a good variety, with a small bone), but we let him do it. Be careful. Everything else is standard - buy a T-shirt, aaaaa....greedy. They tried to explain that a T-shirt with the inscription Egypt is no longer relevant, but everyone remained unconvinced.
The rest is good, the Red Sea is beautiful, I love Egypt in the summer for the warm sea and the warm pool.

Clean bedding, white towels, no mold or broken furniture. Cleaning, change of towels every day, bed once a week. The food is delicious, varied, no frills, but we were not hungry, more than just!
The territory is beautiful, well-groomed, everything is watered, cut, mosquito treatment every day. Wonderful staff, all good-natured, attentive, thank you very much for our wonderful vacation!! ! We will definitely return to our beloved Lotus Bay!
Special thanks to Anex tour, you have wonderful guides!

We fell in love with Lotus Bay right away!! ! .
Lotus Bay!! ! This is a hotel and a place where you will definitely want to return!!!
This is not a big hotel, with a beautiful green landscaped area, cozy rooms and a gorgeous big beach with palm trees! , beach and sea...it's something!
Cool area of the pool and the pool itself, respectively!
We express our gratitude to all the staff from the reception to the caretakers of the territory. Everyone is very polite, very attentive service in everything, it was super cozy, homely.
Also special thanks to the chef of the hotel and his team for the delicious food!
The cuisine is typical for Egypt, but ...how delicious everything was!
Chicken, meat (beef), fish - it was never overdried and overcooked, everything was juicy, seasonings, sauces, rice, pasta, potatoes, vegetables, etc. everything was excellent! Everything is always fresh, we even tried salads with mayonnaise, it was the first time, usually we don’t eat this on vacation in Egypt. On top of that, a rest bonus, minus 3 kg, and this is due to the right one? , delicious food, clean air, sea.
Great tasty selection of desserts. Fruits: dates, oranges, melons, watermelon.
VERY attentive, friendly service in the dining room.
In a word, GREAT SERVICE!
The animation was great guys!
What is near the hotel? There is a pharmacy, advice - it is advisable to navigate the prices ...so as not to overpay.
There are shops. The first one is "At Grisha", a hospitable seller, treats not only with tea, but also with Wi-Fi))
On the contrary - not a big supermarket and a couple of cool cafes KarnakCaffee (delicious pizza $ 15, mango fresh $ 1.5), Yasmin Cafe, there is a cafe at the exit from the hotel.
Also, on the beach, the guys do not intrusively offer excursions. They took the island of Utopia from Read, aka Roma, his Facebook page. com
/Roma Tour (I liked everything, we recommend!!! ), and Mahmud will send you to the bathyscaphe or to the water park, you don’t have to be afraid to buy excursions from the guys, they are at the hotel and cheaper!! ! otherwise the guides do not scare tourists, and they shy away from beach offers)
Safaga, Lotus Bay is a resort place for complete relaxation, reloading, healing of body and soul.
In Safage, the air is indeed cleaner, and the heat is easier to bear, thanks to a light refreshing breeze, we slept without air conditioning. And this is Africa in July.
There is not a big reef where a big turtle and the Nemo family live. A separate request to the hotel manager, do not allow to feed the fish with bread, eggs, tomatoes, etc.
You can’t feed the fish, besides, it’s really life-threatening.
And probably it would be better to have Egyptian guides honestly
spoke the truth - then willing to touch
to feed the fish would definitely decrease.
LOTUS BAY thank you very much for the rest and service!!!
We will definitely come back!

As you understand three times in the hotel just do not go. As I wrote in previous reviews, everything here is very good for us. So, let's begin.
1. Settlement. This time we had a morning arrival. I was prepared for the fact that we might have to wait for the room until 12.00. We were at the hotel at five in the morning, a boy was on duty at the reception, entering the hall, I asked through the guide why Mustafa did not meet regular guests (jokingly, of course), the guide translated and left. This guy immediately started calling, calling our last name (I was already uncomfortable)....after 10 minutes we were already in room 126 (last time 122) in the same building near the doctor's office. The porter, who also recognized us, moved the beds, laid out the sofa (for the child), made the bed, turned on the air conditioner and wished a good rest. Having changed, my wife lay down to rest from the road, and my son and I went for a swim.
2. Number. As I already wrote number 122, in our favorite cottage, large, clean on the ground floor. The room has been renovated, new plumbing, LCD TV and a new (2020 release) air conditioner that worked like clockwork. By the way, as we understood, the hotel has already completely updated both the facades and the number of rooms, and despite the fact that last year the hotel was closed, and the staff was on vacation at their own expense.
3. Territory. All without much change. Again, given the simple hotel last year, the territory is well-groomed, everything is watered, a riot of palm trees, shrubs, mint. This time, my wife had few flowering shrubs near the terraces of the rooms, but I think they were simply sheared and they did not have time to grow back. All shops and bars are in place.
4. Sea and beach. The beach is unchanged, soft sand and palm trees near the sun loungers. The beds are the same, but the mattresses are new. The beach was cleaned once a day, garbage was removed from the garbage cans. Sea. How we missed, having missed 2020 due to covid-19, the Red Sea. Knowing the entire coastline thoroughly, we never used aquashoes, although I don’t advise doing this, because with us two vacationers drove several needles of sea urchins to themselves. Not fatal, but... not very pleasant. Of the new things that I saw while snorkeling, this is a sea turtle (the last two times I could not see it even once, this time twice), a sea snake, squids and rays. There were no wings at all. Corals..... alas, there are even fewer of them, or rather more dead ones. Anchors with ropes are thrown on them, on which yachts are moored. There are more yachts, most of them are simply laid up as there are few tourists. Even guides selling excursions told us that it should not be like this, yachts should be at the piers, but the marriage of the place and corruption are doing their job. There is more plastic in the sea, this is of course not a problem of the hotel, this is a problem of the whole of Egypt, yes that of Egypt....this is a global problem.
5. Nutrition. All perfectly. The food is delicious and a wide variety. In principle, it makes no sense to list, the list is in the last review. The only thing is a little less desserts, and, of course, issuance through chefs. But this is not a minus, but rather a plus. The food is covered with glass, no one drools there and does not pick. They give out as much as you want, although such a principle is more economically advantageous. There were no white tablecloths at dinner, but. . . this is a requirement related to the pandemic. Tables are processed, temperature is measured at the entrance, the staff is wearing masks (there are exceptions that can be understood).
6. Drinks. As usual, they drank beer (draft is tastier than bottled) and wine. They took stronger ones with them, but there was no particular desire or time to drink.
7. Staff. Almost completely managed to save people, and this is important. They brought chocolate, cigarettes with them and treated them purely as friends. Many have been working here for 15-20 years. I read somewhere that the staff does not speak Russian or even English....I have a question "did you definitely rest in Lotus ?? " Mustafa, Yasser, waiters, shop assistants....they know 5 languages and speak fluently.
8. Animation. New animators Sue and Aladdin husband and wife. Young Egyptians dance and sing and walk on glass and stab themselves with knives..... but there is no contact with vacationers. They seem to have tried, but apparently they still need to gain experience. For us, it was not so important, and in Egypt, animation is so-so a joke, nothing more. I liked the imported shows "fire show" and "dance with skirts". For mini-disco 3 with a minus, there were enough children and animation is what children need most of all, but..... Sue did not really succeed, 20 minutes and that's it.
9. Weather. Naturally, she cannot influence the assessment of the hotel, but simply for information. Temperature during the day 34-37, at night 28-30. Water temperature 26-28. Humidity 20%. Breeze. For several days the wind was stronger, but there was a constant rustle of palm trees. Personally, this kind of weather suits us.
10. Contingent. Alas, the pandemic and quarantine have made adjustments to this. Germany did not release its tourists and in connection with this there were very few Germans. But a holy place is never empty. Now Ukrainians, Belarusians, Russians, Egyptians have occupied this place, there were also Czechs, Poles, Romanians, but there were very few of them. What can I say, resting with German pensioners is not only more pleasant and comfortable than it would seem with Slavs speaking the same language. The concept of rest is diametrically different. Of course, when the hotel was 20-30% occupied, this was not critical and was most likely in the form of animation, but if there were such tourists - the "champions" of Voronezh, Brest, Zhmerinka in literball, it would be 100%... I think it would be pleasant few. And so there was no mass character of this movement, because all the "champions" were already blown away on the second or third day, since no one had yet succeeded in drinking all the Egyptian shmurdyak. And then, until the end of the vacation, they drank water and caught the ridicule of those who saw them in a not very, let's say, decent form. I don’t see the point in writing in more detail, the “champions” recognize themselves anyway.
Output. The holiday was a success and this is the most important thing. The hotel managed to survive the difficult times of 2020 and not just survive, but carry out renovations and repairs, retain staff. This is still a relaxing hotel and we have heard such a summary from other vacationers. Thanks Lotus, hope to see you again.
Ask questions, like. Thanks to all.

The beach is chic, spacious, sandy and there is a reef to see the fish. Yachts do not strain, on the contrary, if they do not recruit a group, then they run and offer for half the price. The room is normal, clean. We did not have a safe and a hair dryer in the room, the hair dryer was brought after a call after 5 minutes. They didn't even ask about the safe.
We really liked the food, not as varied as we are used to, but everything was tasty, fresh, chicken, fish, meat and something else was constantly cooked on the grill. Vegetables, side dishes, diet corner.
I’ll answer your favorite question right away: what didn’t you like?
Considering how much we paid (11 thousand UAH / 2), then we liked everything!
But I note: the lack of Internet, the staff does not speak Russian, and in English too)
By the way a lot of Germans and Russians in the hotel. The Russians complained about the weak animation, but everything is always not right for them (We were at the fire show in the evening, but I won’t say more. There are three shops outside the territory and that’s it, we drove 50 minutes from the airport.
In general, a great hotel, for the money, for a lazy beach holiday and relaxation - just like I wanted!
