We stayed at this hotel in July 2009 for 12 nights. With my husband and one year old daughter. Hotel 4 stars. It must be borne in mind that you cannot compare Egyptian stars and European ones, the comparison will not be in favor of Egypt. )) Therefore, I will compare with Egyptian 5-star hotels, which I visited several years ago.
I would describe this hotel in a nutshell as follows: Menaville is a hotel for a relaxing family holiday. For parents with children up to 3-4 years old and for couples "who are over 30", to which we belonged. Therefore, we liked the hotel.
If you like to dance until the morning, love animation programs, if your child needs water slides, if you need a beautiful romantic room, oriental architecture, if you need shopping and want to go to the city, this hotel is not for you!

If you need a large good beach, clear sea, corals with fish, a small number of people around, green territory, delicious plentiful food, a simple air-conditioned room, if you want silence and just want to relax in comfort by the sea for relatively little money, you are here !
The main advantage of the Menaville hotel is a large beach. Umbrellas stand far from each other, there are few people. In early July, the beach was almost empty! At the height of the day, only 10 people could be seen swimming in the sea. In the morning until 8 o'clock we were almost alone on the beach. No need to run and take sun loungers, there are enough of them.
The entrance to the sea is gentle, but at the same time you can swim after 10-20 meters. The beach is divided into several parts - 1 - a smooth sandy entrance to the sea, 2 - part of the beach for water sports, 3 - behind the pier - corals, you can swim with a mask. The entrance to the water there is also sandy. We swam right there.
Near the coast there are several coral reefs, very beautiful. I swam and snorkeled a lot, each time I got great aesthetic pleasure. In general, this is what I came to the Red Sea for. The water is warm, but not like, for example, in Singapore, where swimming does not bring relief from the heat. Early in the morning in the Red Sea, the water is even slightly refreshing, by the evening, of course, it is already very warm. There are almost no waves, a storm, it seems, never happens there at all. So for small children, bathing is a pleasure!
The territory of the hotel is very green and well-groomed. This despite the fact that there is a 40-degree heat and around the desert!
Rooms are divided into Standard, Superior and Chalets. The hotel is stretched along the sea, so from any room it is within easy reach. Chalets are one-story houses along the sea, Superiors are a little more comfortable and more expensive than Standards, but they have a door between the rooms, so there is good (or rather bad))) audibility. We lived in the Standard on the second floor overlooking the pool. By the way, the view did not matter to us - the curtains were always closed from the sun.

The room is very simple - pulls on a 3-star European hotel. Two beds, white walls, wardrobe, table, chair, bedside table. No style and romanticism, everything you need. Air conditioning worked well and that's the main thing! We enjoyed relaxing there at night and in the afternoon.
Food. I was very worried about this issue, because. I'm pretty picky about food. I love delicious and varied food. The food in the hotel restaurant did not disappoint me, but pleasantly surprised me! In a 4-star hotel, I did not expect to see such a variety. Most importantly, the food was almost as good as the 5-star Egyptian hotels I've been to before. The only difference is the absence of masterpieces of fine art from pineapples, watermelons and the like. Flowers from fruits and vegetables were present only at dinner in a modest corner, for some reason covered with cling film. ))) But I think you can do without these decorations - the food is tasty and quite varied. We were not tired even on the 12th day! Delicious fresh fish, baked eggplants, amazingly delicious rice (! ), which I could not get enough of, sweet cucumbers and tomatoes, feta cheese, meat, chicken, seafood, game, pastries, fruits - I just could not figure out how some could put "three" in reviews of food in this hotel! I give it a solid five.
In bars you can take any quantity of beer, wine, local rum, whiskey, gin, anise, vodka, as well as cola, sprite, mirinda and bottled mineral water. The difference from 5-star hotels is that they do not make cocktails and there are no juices. Juice is served in the main restaurant, but I didn’t drink it, the usual adjustable Jupi. But it is in 5 stars as well! Another difference from 5 stars is that ice can only be taken in one bar near the main restaurant.
The attitude towards Russians is no different from the attitude towards others. There are many Germans and Poles in the hotel. The waiters always smiled at us, little Zhenya was especially successful. Not one passed by without patting her on the head, smiling or patting her cheek. In general, the local population has a very special attitude towards young children. They literally raise children to a cult! Everyone wanted to take Zhenechka in their arms, everyone around smiled at her. (When we left and ended up at the airport in the circle of compatriots, the difference was immediately visible. No one smiled and no one was happy to be our neighbor on the plane. )

The waiters are not very efficient, tips did not help. Drinks in the evening had to be ordered immediately, because. not the fact that it will be possible to wait for the waiter on time.
Animation was almost non-existent. During the day on the beach, four fellows were engaged in water aerobics with tourists, designed more for pensioners. In the evening every day there was a good children's program, but repeated every day. The children played with pleasure. It was too early for Zhenya, but she watched with interest from the side, dancing and clapping her hands. But after the children's program, the singer performed. How he was not booed remains a mystery. He had no hearing or voice. He performed the same program of European songs during all 12 days of our vacation. Godlessly false and not having the slightest idea about music. But for those who do not have a professional musical education, like ours, his singing will probably not cut the ear like that. Once every three or four days there was the same Arabic program - belly dance and a spinning skirt dancer. We liked the latter, but the dancer danced more than mediocre, without even having a figure.
This is perhaps the only not very good experience. Otherwise, everything was great!
We had a great rest. This hotel is the best for families with small children.
