I went with my boyfriend to Sharm El Sheikh for two weeks. We got to the hotel Amaranth Garden Palms (former Tropicana). We got there by accident, because we initially took vouchers to the 4-star Charm Cliff (which actually turned out to be 3rd). When we were taken to Amarant, the guide said that we were going to 5 stars (we went from Tez Tour). I really liked the hotel: a large green area, well maintained everywhere, the area in front of the hotel is also huge. (We had a view from the window on this territory - very beautiful! ) The rooms are comfortable for living, the only thing missing was a soap dish and a toilet brush, sorry. ) The room was cleaned every day, but towels and bed linen were changed every two day. We tip the cleaner every day for a dollar, but I advise you to leave every two days. the towel was tied to me only on the day before departure, although one girl said that she was tied on the very first day.
The food at the hotel is excellent, for every taste, I was very pleased with the KFC chicken (as it is called) and their potatoes are sooo tasty. Fruit, of course, is not enough. There were: bananas (which were snapped up at the moment), dates (very tasty), persimmons, oranges, grapefruit, apples, guava. Breakfast, however, is monotonous, all eggs, but cereals and a lot of pastries, but you can order pancakes with honey and powder.
One pool is heated, one is not. Every evening shows, competitions. The animators there are Natalie (from Ukraine) and Kado (local), they are husband and wife. The animation is normal, we played darts, water polo, attended dance lessons, aerobics.
There are few Russians in the hotel, mostly English, Italians, Poles, Germans.
It takes 10-15 minutes to walk to the beach of the friendly Gaffy Days Inn hotel, also by bus, because they go to U-turns (they don’t turn right away, but turn around). The beach is good sandy, not far from the corals, we snorkeled for an hour and a half. There are corals in front (went into the water and swim straight) or if you swim (or go) over the cape to the left (it’s not far there), tourists are taken there on excursions. We ourselves swam for free =), we saw stingrays and countless fish!
I was very surprised when I read the reviews about this hotel upon arrival home. My vacation was not spoiled by anything. I guess I'm not that picky.
