We chose this hotel, because on the first line, really all inclusive, while budget.

Perhaps we will be biased, because for the first time in Egypt, but in general we really liked it. If it weren't for a few minor flaws it would have been great.

1. Settlement

We arrived at 7-30 local time, check-in from 14-00. For $ 20 we were given bracelets at 11 am and settled at 12 — we were able to sleep and get to lunch.

Wi-fi was ONLY in the lobby and worked during peak hours. The problem was solved by buying a local card with traffic (however, the traffic ended faster than promised).

2. Contingent

The bracelets are red for the inhabitants of the CIS (hereinafter referred to as the Slavs), white and orange for the Arabs (probably Egypt / other Arab countries), blue for the Europeans. But there were also exceptions.

About 50% Arabs, 35% Slavs, 10% Italians. Arabs are very different - from Europeanized to Orthodox with beards and their wives in nihabs (only eyes are open).

Most Arab women bathed in burkini (a special swimming suit for the whole body), there were always a lot of them in the pool.

For us, this was not a big problem (even interesting), but we didn’t like that the Arabs are often noisy, not very neat (they litter the most) and translate food (they take dozens of buns and leave them).

3. Body

We were settled in the 3rd building, where the Slavs mainly settle. This is not due to discrimination, just budget rooms are just in building 3 (1 and 2 are more expensive). But in this building it is not so noisy (it is 300 meters from the lobby), it has its own long-term bar and you can swim in the pool after sunset : )

4. Number

The weakest link of our trip. The room is beautiful, spacious, but the renovation was a long time ago, a little shabby, especially the bathroom. Locally stubborn stains on fabrics.
Everything worked for us (and air conditioning, and hot water, and light everywhere), the windows overlooked the pool (and not the neighboring hotel), so everything would be bearable if it were not for the room handle. She stuck hard, and we understood the opening system only on the penultimate day. Prior to that, they helped to open everything - both neighbors and cleaners.

5. Cleaning

For $1 a day they cleaned and brought water every day. Then the cleaner changed and for the same money he also began to spin swans out of towels for us.

6. Nutrition

Restaurant 2: the lower one is the main one, the upper one is smaller and opened later. Breakfast from 7:00 to 11:00, lunch from 12:30 to 15:00, dinner from 18:30. In the breaks - snacks at the pool bar.

The food is just dofiga, and at the end of the rest it became just boring to eat : )

There are permanent dishes and interchangeable ones: meat, fish and fruits changed, partly desserts. Meat, pasta, scrambled eggs, a local analogue of pizza, the chefs often cooked in front of you. In the evenings - on the grill, especially liked the chicken and kebab.
Loved the local sweets and pastries.

7. Bars

The bars by the pool and on the beach are open from 10 to sunset, the upper one is around the clock, at the 3rd building - it seems, from 10 to 22.

Drinks and cocktails were almost always available, sometimes local beer (by the way, weak) was just running out.

The bartenders are cheerful friendly guys, especially the bartender of the 3rd building, a big romantic, who in one evening decorated all the tables with flowers and asked the couples to dance : )

8. Pools

The main pool is large, winding, with many compartments. Lots of shallow water areas for kids. It works until sunset, we had it around 17-00.

Near building 3 there is a swimming pool and towels. Many, in violation of the ban, swam both in the evening and at night : )

9. Sea

The main disadvantage of the rest according to my wife and the main plus according to mine : )

A large beach, with its own bar, but count without the sea: shallow in the morning (ankle-deep), in the afternoon - low tide. So if you swim badly, there is nothing to do there.
True, you can go deeper in coral slippers, but we did not try.

Own pontoon - 250 meters (not 500, as some write here), with a gazebo in the middle. It ends with a staircase that leads down to the coral reef. Depth is 10 meters.

From morning to afternoon there is always a red flag, in the afternoon the wind subsides and you can go to watch the fish (until sunset). The water at this time is always clear, there are a lot of fish, very beautiful. True, there are many people on the descent, but if you sail a little, no one interferes.

10. Ala carte

We only went to a fish restaurant, we didn't go to an Italian one. I liked it very much: buns, drinks, a simple vegetable salad, soup with fish and crabs, fried squid and fish, local desserts (we didn’t climb anymore : )).

11. What else to add

We tried to be careful with merchants, but there were few very annoying ones. Excursion and spa vendors were usually quick to fall behind after "no thanks. "

The staff is generally good.
Almost everyone works every day, seven days a week, although they are not always in a hurry so as not to be so tired : )

Usually they know some phrases in Russian (more in English). “One fanta and one“ sex on the beach ”- in this formulation they understand without problems. They often ask how you are, joking. They treat well those who do not distort their names and do not become impudent.

The girl at the guest relations desk is generally ours (albeit with an oriental appearance) and will always help with advice.

12. Verdict

I would go back to Amwaj again. Wife - for an ordinary sandy beach, but in Sharm it's difficult : )
