Good time of the day. I want to tell you a little about our October vacation and in general about the Aurora hotel. Arrived in Sharm on the 8th early in the morning. We flew with SkyUp. The planes are new and good. After going through all the procedures at the airport, we were met by a representative of Join UP and we went to the hotel. We drove not long, our hotel was the third in line. We were at the hotel around 8 am. We were met at the reception by a young friendly guy who warned that check-in was from 2 pm, but for now we can change clothes in the toilet and go to the beach, since breakfast is also not allowed for us before check-in. But then he went to the contact)))))) To speed up the process, I offered $ 10, a chocolate bar Alyonka and Vympel of one of the sports clubs in Kharkov)))) He was satisfied with my offer, with the exception of the banknote, which he asked to exchange for Twenty, but promised that the room would be good with a view of the pool and the sea. Well, OK. After our deal with him (let's call it that), he immediately put on our bracelets, gave us the key to the room (I asked for two at once), and we went to the room. The room was on the third floor, it really turned out to be very spacious, with a good view from the balcony, next to the stairs that led to the pool and to the path to the beach. Having put ourselves in order after the flight, we went to breakfast.
Now let's touch on a topic that interests, I'm sure, 95% of our tourists This is FOOD)))
1) For breakfast, mostly pastries (it is worth noting croissants, good ones), a small amount of vegetables, an omelette, which is prepared in front of you and behind which there is a decent queue. But let's just say it's delicious. Add vegetables if desired. It's called MIX. Hot drinks from the machine, but you still need to be in time. From cereals, in my opinion, only rice. Generally the breakfast is not very good.
2) Lunch is frankly weak. If you are lovers of first courses, then, like me, you will be disappointed. From soups they offer carrot and vegetable, and just vegetable broth. Once there was a chicken soup, here it is not bad. In the place where an omelet was cooked in the morning, pasta (spaghetti) is cooked in the afternoon. It can be ordered with sauce and cheese, also optional, delicious. But until then, you'll have to stand in line. Also, from the main courses, you can find something “under the lids”, chicken (by the way, their chicken meat is really tasty, not like our chicken from Silpo, Karavan or Our Ryaba, tasteless plastic meat), or fish, which is either bony , or similar to mackerel, in pieces, but also an amateur. The fruit situation is a total disaster. The first three days there were none at all, I don’t count dates. Then, after complaints about this, a green melon appeared and one day they gave persimmons, so it was delicious.
In general, lunch is also not so hot.
3) Dinner is not much different from lunch. Only now, at the place where scrambled eggs are prepared in the morning and pasta in the afternoon, meat or liver are fried in the evening. The queue is like in the Mausoleum. The grill worked on the street a couple of times, but everywhere they give out portions. They gave a piece of chicken and two small lulyas. Looks like the guys are watching your weight))))))
If you are going to eat, then this hotel is definitely not for you. There is no variety, every day is the same. There are no seafood. There are no fruits. Although we were at the beginning of October, maybe everything will get better in the season and everything will be fine.
Oh, and I also forgot to say about lunch on the beach at the bar. If you don't want to go to the restaurant for lunch, you can have a bite to eat at the bar, they offer french fries (delicious) and a bun with fried fish or meatballs.
Now about the territory of the hotel. Here is Five. A lot of greenery, flowers, and for this we must pay tribute to the staff, that in the desert, they all support it so much. There are also three pools, near which there are always places. Especially near the pool closest to the beach, it’s always empty there))) But we didn’t visit the pool, which is a little hidden, it is, so to speak, focused on foreigners))) But this is a separate issue.
An additional star for the hotel, probably, is still done by the animators !! ! Girls from Kazakhstan, Belarus, Ukraine work there (it was nice to meet our fellow countrywoman Olya from Kharkov). They do volleyball, water polo, yoga, some kind of gymnastics, I don't understand it, darts. Generally not boring! Special thanks to Diana, Snezhana, Olga and Dana. Funny girls, not intrusive, but convincing))))) In the evenings, the amphitheater had different entertainment programs, it was also interesting to see.
About cleaning the room. I am of the opinion that every day I don’t need cleaning, I don’t litter and don’t dirty everything there))))) And I don’t really like it when an old man roams around my room, especially in my absence. Of course, we left a dollar for cleaning, but sometimes we asked not to clean it, but I asked for water to be brought in two bottles every day))) We had a good understanding guy on the floor.
Now about the tourists in this hotel. There are a lot of foreigners - Italians, Germans, Georgians, Arabs, etc. And unfortunately the attitude towards ours and foreigners is not always equal. The Italians were poured beer from bottles, and we were served from kegs. In the queue, they will serve first a foreigner and then you, I repeat, it was not often like that, depending on which bartender you get (there was one such non-lover of the Slavs), but as they say, "the sediment remained. "
And it's time for advice from us personally:
1) Everyone brings Mango from Egypt and we are no exception. Bought fruit the day before departure. Shop found across the street from the hotel. If you go to the left, then after some relatively short distance you will see a street to the right with shops, that's where you are. On the right side there will be a shop with sweets and fruits. The seller's name is Max)))) And if you take sweets, then take it from him. Don't buy anything at the candy store on a sightseeing tour, everything is twice as expensive as his, honestly. We got into it. The fact that there is $ 3 he has 1.5. What is there $ 6 he has three. Well, etc. Bargain with him, only without raids much, he is very vulnerable))))))))) If you make friends, he will make discounts and choose fruits for you to take them (By the way, we took 10 mangoes and 3 Pomegranates from him, that's all in hand luggage in bags).
2) I will disappoint fans of beer and alcohol in general, everything is not a fountain. We, without changing our traditions, always take fish with us on vacation. This time they took Chekhon, Plotvichka and Guster. It's great to sit by the pool or on the beach and enjoy a beer with fish)))))
3) We took excursions from the hotel guide Mukhtar. Apparently, they realized that they take everything over the fence and lowered prices in order to compete. Quads $15, scuba diving $25.
4) Go to the neighboring hotel Coral to the water park, only turn the blue bracelets over)))))
Finally, I would like to say The hotel is not bad, if you do not bother much, then everything will be ok.
