We rested from 06/25/15 to 07/05/15.2 adults and a child 7 years old.
We didn’t plan a vacation, but somehow we got together abruptly, this time we were very limited in funds, so we had to stay at this hotel.
Before that, we were in Egypt 8 years ago (Sunrise Royal Makadi), with the birth of a child, they preferred other destinations and good hotels.
I know that the regulars of the hotel will not like my review, but nevertheless, I have the right to express my opinion.
All the shortcomings of the hotel were warned, the reviews were read, so the hotel did not come as a surprise to us (unlike many other vacationers). We were ready to put up with all the shortcomings for such a price (the main thing is the sea). But nevertheless, I will write a detailed review so that there are no other “surprises” either.

Contingent: 20 percent Italians, the rest Russians. Mostly middle-aged and older people, families, there are young people (they themselves were like that when the hotel is not important, but the very fact of the trip is important)
Settlement.
The receptionist is the face of the hotel. Needless to say, the hotel did not come out with a “face” (old shabby furniture, dirty carpets)... We could at least bring gloss here, for the first impression.
We arrived at 12 noon. The room was given in the main building. And everything would be fine, but only a room without a balcony (they were ready to put up), but it was on the 4th floor. There is no lift. Of course, I understand that it is possible to shake the “all inclusive” on foot, but somehow I didn’t want this at all on vacation.
They asked to change to something lower. Offered a bungalow, looked. Yes, everything is shabby, but the first floor. The receptionist quietly asked for a surcharge... The husband said that for such a room he could give no more than 10 dollars, which was decided. Although at the reception there is an official price list for changing rooms ($ 15 per day)
Number.
Appearance leaves much to be desired. Everything is old (furniture, bedding). On the first night, I could not fall asleep because of the noise: the refrigerator rumbles like an old Saratov, the condo does not lag behind it even in the minimum mode (it's just some kind of antediluvian monster). Well, you can turn off the refrigerator, but there is no condo, as it is very hot after half an hour.
The husband climbed into the condo to fix the sash (did not work). Needless to say, the filters in the condo have not been changed, probably since the hotel was built. And this is what we and our children breathe...
Vobschem in the morning, tormented, dozed off. But at 4 o'clock in the morning, a "concert" begins from a nearby mosque. When I read about the mosque, I did not think that it was 200 meters from the fence (I used to come across the singing of the mullah, but it was not so loud and close). It feels like a prayer is being read in your room. It's good that such concerts were not every night. And you can’t change the number - such audibility throughout the hotel...

The neighbors were practically inaudible (naturally, if the refrigerator and air conditioner rumble like that in the room, they block all the noise from outside). But at least everything worked for us. The condo was freezing like a beast, there was water. People have repeatedly complained about the constant breakdown of plumbing and air conditioning.
What can I say, the hotel is dying. This is 4ka, which will soon roll down to 3 *. It seems that the staff thinks that "we will somehow stretch this season, and then - come what may. " As my husband said (and many other guests expressed a similar idea), the hotel should be demolished and rebuilt.
Plus - locks with keys, not cards. Therefore, you can leave the condo on.
There are no nightlights above the bed. Those. light ONLY general. You can’t read a book before going to bed when a child falls asleep on the next bed (the light must be turned off)
Cleaning.
No complaints. The cleaner tried to change towels on time, including beach towels (they can be changed at the busik or at your cleaner). They left tips.
Territory.
Excellent, green (for Egyptian hotels), well-groomed. The hotel is well located, walking distance to the 1001 Nights Palace or the Old Town. Just amazing view in the evening. Well, the sea is nearby.
There are two pools. Once, at the request of my daughter, we went to the pool. After I saw the dirty tiles (brown-gray edge), they didn’t even come close to the pool. For 10 days I saw only once how the bass is being cleaned. And then they don’t clean the walls (as it should be), but simply catch garbage with a net.
Beach.
Great entry to the sea for kids. It is quite possible to do without corals if you do not go to a wild beach. There are enough places.
The downside is the old beach chairs and, of course, umbrellas, which do not create shadows at all. Is it really that hard to cover these umbrellas with straw?
A huge minus is the lack of taps for washing feet. There is a shower, but until you reach the stairs from the shower, all your feet are again in the sand. Therefore, sand is everywhere, including the rooms.
Bars and restaurants.
Food without frills, you will not be hungry, everything is very modest.

In the morning there is freshly squeezed orange juice (at least this is how it is positioned), possibly packaged (but orange “chunks” float in it). I'm not an expert, I don't like orange.
For breakfast there is oatmeal, boiled eggs, fried eggs, yogurt, breakfast cereals, pancakes, cheese, inedible sausage and sausages, tomatoes-cucumbers-peppers-greens. And lots of donuts and croissants.
Lunch and dinner - richer choice. They bake pizza, make delicious pasta with sauces. There is always chicken, often fish, stew. Once there were squid, fried meat, liver (but this is already for all 10 days at a time).
Fruit is a problem. Only oranges (albeit very tasty, sweet) and apples. A couple of times there were grapes. There weren't even bananas. For dinner, it happens (although not always) or watermelon or melon (you can’t take it yourself, only “on delivery”).
There is a diet table.
There is a children's one (but there are a couple of dishes, for example, french fries and meat, cucumbers and tomatoes - that is, all this can be found on the common table)
Minus - codes do not work well in restaurants. In the Egyptian one, new floor condos have been installed, it is cooler there. In Italian, the condos are old, they don’t cool, it’s very hot, you can’t sit for a very long time...
What really pissed me off was the lack of napkins. They even save on them - strictly one piece per person. There are no toothpicks. For some reason, salt is poured into the pepper pot, and pepper into the salt bowl.
With glasses (normal, glass) strained. They are not always available, sometimes you had to ask for a normal glass (moreover, they gave it out “through force”, when you asked very insistently for the 10th time). I'm only for plastic in bars on the beach, by the pool (they still fight, children run around barefoot). But in the main restaurant, offering disposable cups is beyond my understanding.
Cleaned tables - when as. Sometimes fast, sometimes you can't wait. Cleaning is just turning the napkin over to the other side (if it is not very much used for its intended purpose) and putting the fork-knife in, did not even bother to shake the crumbs off the table.

Minus - almost all cooks work without gloves.
In the bar on the beach from 12 o'clock they give ice cream, make hamburgers, french fries. Pancakes are baked during the day (although we never ate them, as we preferred to spend this time in the room under the air conditioner).
In the bar, where evening animation, they make alcoholic and non-alcoholic cocktails. You can ask the child to make a milkshake. You can ask to pour packaged juice (guava).
Animation.
None.
Adults don't interest me much. But the children are very interested.
The whole animation boiled down to the fact that at 10 am the animators came to the bar on the beach and drew postcards every day (after the 2nd time, the daughter refused to go, because it was not interesting to do the same thing every day). Once I asked why they don't do anything anymore. Kristina (children's animator) said that insects have been poisoned in the mini-club itself for the 2nd week already (while we were there for 3 weeks), that they used to play both Indians and pirates, and sculpted (not very hard to believe, to be honest)... Why, one wonders, all this cannot be done on the beach (sculpt, play), but a mini-club is needed - it is not clear. The animators didn’t really want to see it... True, at half past 12 they do free face painting for children. It would probably be more correct to do it in the evening before the mini-disco, and not at the time when the children are actively splashing in the water.
The playground has not been updated since the hotel was built, no one goes there. Although it is needed. Because in the interval after dinner and before the mini-disco, there is simply nothing for children to do. In other hotels, this time the children just hang out on the playground. And here they either endure the brain to their parents, or sit buried in tablet phones.
Internet.
Yes, free (password at the reception). It is quite enough to climb the sites, call on Skype. Sometimes there are interruptions.
Aquapark.

We took a ticket to the water park, it turned out cheaper (it costs $ 35 once). Very good, our Peterland is resting. They went in a day.
Of course, it is clear that that hotel (Aqua Blue) is better (still five), but still the same shabby, if you look closely, is present (old sun loungers, torn hecks, handles, in short, a trifle, but with the help of which the overall impression is formed). But I would not want to live there - far from the sea (delivery or walking in the heat), very noisy. Even better in Albatross Beach. You go to the sea every day, and the water park will quickly get bored.
By the way, you should grab a fumigator. There are mosquitoes in the rooms. Insects are poisoned on the territory, but it saves little - my daughter and I are bitten (usually in the evening at the animation, mosquitoes bite very much and, apparently, there are earthen fleas).
Outcome. We are satisfied with the rest (sea, sun, good mood, good pleasant vacationers). The hotel is quiet, calm, well located. BUT for a very unpretentious client (if you go only beyond the sea and the sun), it’s suitable for the first trip (when you don’t know HOW it can be). For its price, you can put up with the shortcomings (if you know about them in advance! ). I hope that the repair (it would be nice to have a major one, with the replacement of all furniture, appliances, communications, etc. ) will still be done and not in 10 years, but in the very near future, otherwise the hotel will not pull on 4ku in any way (now - something already with tension).
I can only recommend it as a very budget option. If finances allow, it is better to consider another, more expensive option.
