Never read reviews at all (this one is possible, as an exception ; ) Before going to Continental, I made just such a mistake, and I was upset for a long time - it turned out that I would rest in the most natural pigsty, and there is no worse one on all over the world, and not just in Sharm El Sheikh. It's based on reviews. In fact, oh joy, it's not like that!
I’m not too capricious, not a complete gourmet, and just not a fan of spoiling my own vacation with my own whining (I’m talking about those who, crossing the threshold of the hotel, immediately make an exhausted, jaded face and give out the first phrase: “Yes-ah-ah-ah, 5 stars does not pull).

Continental pulls on 5 * completely. And this is not because I am in Egypt for the first time, but because if you are going to rest, then you need to rest, and not look at the back of the lamp with a magnifying glass in search of microcracks, or suffer that “this strange gardener is somehow wrong with me looked. "
Not far from the airport.

Not far from the Old Town, even closer to Naama Bay (20-30 pounds in a taxi).

The territory is very large and green (who is not green enough - you need to go to the botanical garden, and not to the desert). Everything is beautiful, clean, cleaned, well-groomed, trimmed. The buildings are 2-storey, located in a cascade to the sea. Rooms with a sea view are much more expensive, but I did not need it, and the view of the garden by the pool was fine. Therefore, is it worth it? The standard room has everything you need. And what not to eat. The air conditioner works great. Cleaned every day, and well (we left a buck).

There are 2 pools, top and bottom, both are great. There were always free sunbeds. But why sit in the pool, having arrived at the most beautiful Red Sea in the world - it is not clear (we only drank there, and more often at night - we destroyed stocks from duty free).

The sea is a fairy tale. Put on a mask and enter the aquarium.
By the way, the hotel is located in a very beautiful coral bay (Reef Garden), yachts constantly bring people from other hotels to swim in the neighborhood. You could always find sunbeds on the beach too. And the bar is okay. By the way, it gets dark early in summer, already at 4 o'clock the sun starts to set, so it is better to sunbathe in the morning.

The food is good, although not very varied. You will never go hungry, even if you try. Beef, chicken, fish, sometimes seafood, soups, pasta, etc. + salads, vegetables, fruits. A bunch of desserts, a paradise for the sweet tooth. I repeat: who goes to eat lobsters and others like them - you will go to another hotel (at least 2 times more expensive), or rather, to another country. From drinks: water (they give out as much as you want, take more to your room), juice (yupi, as elsewhere), coffee-tea, beer (you can drink, although for some reason it does not cure a hangover) and local preparations (rum, whiskey, vodka , gin).
Animation is present, although not very noticeable.

Unobtrusive, I would say. Water aerobics, volleyball - this is what I heard out of the corner of my ear. In the evenings in the Los Amigos pub there is something like an entertainment program - competitions, performances, then a disco (very, surprisingly, not bad). There is tennis, a gym, something else, but for me, sports are taboo on vacation, so I won’t tell you in detail.

Minus: a lot of Ukrainians, Russians, Belarusians - ours, in general. I wanted to take a break from my homeland, but it didn’t work out. The staff speaks English more or less tolerably, some even speak Russian.
And now for those who read to the end (fuh, I'm tired myself).

So worth it:
– Go with the Tez-tour. We also went to Turkey with them, there were no special overlays. The guides and attendants are young, nice and, what is important, they speak Russian well. We met with the guys who went from the Anex tour - they spat further than they saw, and not only them.
- Take in duty free or take with you - you will laugh - cola.
There is only Pepsi in the hotel, although the taste and color ...Also note to cocktail lovers - the vodka in the hotel is good, whiskey-rum-gin is so-so, there is nothing else. And I really wanted a martini, oh!
- Go to Cairo. The trip is quite tiring, but you will never get such impressions anywhere else. The Cairo Museum, they say, contains one sixth of the entire cultural heritage of mankind. I am silent about the pyramids and the Sphinx. They will feed normally, but you need to take more eggplants of water with you. Shops of perfumes, papyri and souvenirs, where they will be imported without fail, you just have to survive.
– Go to a disco in Naama at the Hard rock café . The entrance is about 100 pounds for two (about 100 hryvnia), but the ticket price includes 2 drinks each (cocktail, beer - to choose from). The disco is awesome. Attention: mentally add another 30 percent to the prices indicated on the menu.
Not worth:
– Pretend to be a cool white dude/cool white dude.

We often talked with the locals, there are a lot of interesting intelligent people among them. And if you treat them like “chocks” (as I heard they call them), then you will be treated accordingly. And then there is no need to complain about a spoiled vacation. After all, you have arrived in THEIR country. If you maintain friendly relations, you will have more than others (including information).
- Take unfinished food to the airport. According to Egyptian law, you can take out one small bottle of water per person. Buy everything else in duty free.
Don't dress in the city like you do at home. Of course, they will pester in any clothes, but still. By the way, not only the Arabs are pestering, and not so much - the Americans and Europeans will be worse.
Good luck and good mood!! !
