It is not easy to write more than one paragraph about a hotel where I have been 4 times. Well, of course, it is necessary to sing the virtues of the hotel team, this is a ritual. However, it's not a pity, the guys deserve it. And the best recognition of a good job was not a laudatory review, but the fact that by April the hotel was crammed with guests "to the eyeballs". However, first things first…

First, about everything new that happened to us and other guests of Egypt.

This was our second flight to Egypt during the epidemic, so the test procedure went like clockwork. We flew from the Dnieper to Windrose. I read on the airline's website, a day before departure, online check-in is available, however, 23 hours and 55 minutes before check-in, all the best seats were booked, but there was plenty to choose from.

The second novelty is just for us. Having visited Egypt many times and having seen Luxor, Aswan, Edfu, we have never been to Cairo. Well, from Marsa Alam to Cairo, there is nothing to think about. Sharm gave such an opportunity.
Previously, exhausting travel by bus and wild crowds of people near the pyramids and in the museum scared away. Covid solved the second problem, there are few tourists in Cairo (as elsewhere). We divided the exhausting trip into 2 days. And they didn't regret it.

Our Teztour offered an excursion to Cairo for 2 days. Overnight at the hotel in Cairo. $ 130 per person, locals have 100. Buses are the same for everyone, routes too. Difference in hotel overnight stay. The locals mumbled and got confused about the name of the hotel, which alerted us. We turned to the hotel guide, Mr. Ramsay. He started calling to find out. The answer is that we don't hire people. He offered to connect us with the TUI guide. OK. 10 minutes later, Mr. Amir, a TUI guide from nearby Albatross, was in the lobby. He told me for a long time, the main thing that interested us was the Hilton Ramses hotel. OK, this is a great (by Egyptian standards) hotel, in Tahrir Square. We paid, via WhatsApp we received a receipt and the time of departure from the hotel.

There is no bus at 10-00, we are waiting with lunch boxes at the reception.

Reception service waiting for more than 100 guests from Cairo for the weekend. Well, not bad, the two of us are in Cairo, they are in the hotel - chain. Bass was only 15 minutes late, by local standards - the height of punctuality. The inscription on the bass is “Blu sky”, the tour operator is the host, they are the organizer of the tour. We went in and showed the guide the receipt. We are the first, "+" can take any place, "-" will be transported throughout Sharm. In the bass, except for the guide and the driver, there is a bodyguard, man in black, with AK47, under the jacket. Ride for 2 hours, in good places. At 12-20 we left Sharm. At the exit of the checkpoint, in fact - a border checkpoint, cars and basses are turned upside down. We are driving - on the right is the desert and mountains, on the left - the sea. The highway is great, but every 50-70 km, there is a checkpoint. 400 km to Suez drove 4.5 hours. We stopped for 40 minutes at the cafe "Rest house" - a rest home, had a bite, breathed. The toilet is clean.

We drive up to the Suez Canal, before entering, a huge queue. We got up, but it was not there.
A guide and a bodyguard ran in, after 40 minutes they drove along the side of the road to the checkpoint, again total control. They are afraid of terrorist attacks and they are doing it right, the tunnel under the canal is an ideal target. We drove for another hour and we were in Cairo, in the dark you couldn’t really see anything, but as it turned out in the morning, it was for the best. At 19-30 we arrived at the cruise ship. Dinner. Dinner is a buffet, as everywhere in the tours rice, potatoes, salads, chicken and fish. 0.5 water, for each. We drove off 100 meters from the shore and hung in place, such as a walk along the night Nile. On the one hand, a divorce, on the other hand, everyone is tired and there is nothing special to watch. The girl quickly danced billidance. Finita. The concert is over. Quickly to the bass and to the Hilton Ramses hotel. In total, Blue Sky brought 3 basses - 60-70 people.

Settled quickly. We got a room on the 5th floor, low, noisy. But there was no strength left to fight for a better life. The room is excellent. The noise of the night Cairo (car horns) is almost inaudible. There is a kettle, tea, coffee, cream and water in the room. We shower and sleep.
At 6-00 our alarm clock rings and the phone is an auto-alarm clock. Coffee in bed, shower and restaurant. Restaurant Hilton Ramses, this is a super breakfast and continental and English. Yoghurts in boxes, fresh mango and orange, coffee - grain + pastries. Trained waiters. Hilton Five Star!! ! We did not regret the overpaid 60 dollars.

We are on the bus at 7:30. Cairo is a city of contrasts. Beyond the threshold of the Hilton is noise, dirt, beggars and smog. During the day we watched this picture. For outsiders, chaos. Traffic is chaos, they go anywhere, pedestrians do not pay attention to the rod, anywhere. And beep, beep, beep. A little away from Tahrir Square, multi-storey slums begin. No, I would not like to live in this city.

Well, Cairo itself, hardly anyone would want to see. Everyone is attracted to Memphis, which arose on the banks of the Nile 5000 years ago!! ! On the way to the Cairo Museum we stopped at the first stop. Baybars Mosque. A Mamluk from the 13th century built it. Now there are 4 walls, inside the ruins.
Restoration. But Baibars turned out to be from Kazakhstan and tourists from this country are interested. Around the dirt, we did not come out of the bass.

Here is the Cairo Museum! Noise, dirt, poverty remained outside. There are not many people, thank God. You can walk here for several days. For 2 hours, we only slightly touched this greatness. Even without knowing the age of the exhibits, you feel their magic. I'm not a writer, and I can't describe what I saw.
I can only say that all the efforts are not in vain.

Next is the oil factory. We don't go out. Giza and lunch. In front of the entrance to the "hotel restaurant" (the quotes are well-deserved), everyone froze, a couple of kilometers - 3 great pyramids. But hunger, not aunt. Lunch is a little better than dinner. Lots of steamed vegetables. Hearty lunch, coffee (extra) and go.

Pyramids cannot be described even by a great writer. I write about what I can do, and may be interesting to the reader. The guide showed himself on the positive side. He led the group around the queues.
3 stops near the pyramids and one near the sphinx.

Papyrus "factory" (toilet for us) and back. We understand that if we arrived from Sharm in the morning, interest in antiquities would cool down. We drove for six and a half hours (with a stop at the rest house) and at 1-30 we were at the hotel. We barely crawl out to the restaurant, take dinner with us, to the room, rest.

Now about the hotel. What makes Montaza different this season. Only one - the number of guests. Instead of 40-100, now 300-500. The restaurant and reception are coping. On the beach and with housekeeping - problems. But I'm sure these problems can be solved.

In conclusion, the traditional praises of the hotel team, thank you:
- Bartenders and waiters Reda, Mimi, Omar, Sameh, Aziz
- The Reception team is super, Mohamed, Hesham, Tamer, Rabbi - you are the best!!!
- Animation Tanya, Lera, Nastya and Anya (there were 2 more Egyptians, but at the end of our vacation they disappeared, the music on the beach became quieter, even if they don’t appear)
- Cleaning Chief Mustafa (due to the influx of tourists, cleaning has fallen, but the guy is trying)
- And of course General Manager, m-r Hanny!
More about anomalies - weather. On the 20th of March, for 2 days the anomalous heat continued to + 35C, after which an anomalous east wind blew (usually the north wind blows), which broke all the pontoons in the Montazah area. To the credit of the hotel on the 3rd day restored.

P. S. Online check-in for the return flight did not work. At the Dnipro airport, they checked Dia on smartphones, who did not have it on the phone, the border guards helped to install and even gave Internet distribution. Well done!
