Our vacation was ingloriously ruined at the Coral Beach Tiran Hotel. We assumed that a trip to a 4-star hotel provided for some inconvenience and disadvantages, but such a horror was not unequivocally expected.
Immediately upon arrival at the hotel, there were no problems, we learned the "features" of the hotel as we stayed at the hotel. Our arrival was early, we were at the hotel at half past six in the morning Egyptian time. Settlement began immediately. We were very happy because we did not expect such an opportunity. But the peculiarity of the early check-in turned out to be baksheesh from 20 to 100 dollars, depending on the location of the desired room. We agreed to pay an extra $20 as we were tired after the flight and the amount was quite reasonable. We were taken to our room by car. We are already familiar with the love of the Egyptians for fast driving, but they did not expect to experience all the delights in an electric car. We were almost thrown out of the car on the turns. At the same time, a part-time driver and porter offered us to carry us on demand for 1 dollar. Until the moment we entered the room, we were more than satisfied. But this number was a big disappointment. The furniture is not new, but that's ok for a quartet. But it was not removed!!! ! That is, dear guests, check in early, for money, but in a dirty room. We ask the porter, how so? He smiles, demands a dollar and declares that this is not his competence, call the reception. We demand to be taken back. He insolently declares: 1 dollar! That is another 1 dollar. We refuse, he says he has a job and runs away. We call the reception, we say the room is dirty, to which the answer is yes, they did not have time to clean it, since the check-in is after 14:00. Wait an hour, everything will be taken away for you. We were tired after the flight, which fell on the night after a working day, so we didn’t have the strength to argue and run around the hotel. Changed clothes and went to the pool, which could be accessed directly from the room in view of the lower floor. We swam, rested, drank terribly tasteless coffee at the bar and after two!! ! hours returned to the room to sleep until dinner. We didn't get breakfast yet. The room was not cleaned!! ! We called the reception, no one even apologized, they just grunted, they would soon remove it, after 10 minutes. Half an hour later the cleaner came. He began to wash the floor with such a disgruntled face that we were simply shocked. As if it's our fault that he needs to get out. After washing with dirty hands, he began to change the bed. We asked him to wash his hands, he muttered something in his Arabic. At the same time, my wife and I speak decent English, which helped to solve problems at the hotel. I washed my hands and finished cleaning. The rest of the room was normal, the air conditioner worked, there was hot water, the TV did not show clearly, but we didn’t come for that. Slept, waited for dinner, went to the dining room.
And oh horror! There are queues for food, as in Soviet times in stores. Separate queue for meat, chicken, fish. A portion of meat is 5 by 5 cm, even the breast was divided into ballet chicken. Fish salted fried in the form of a fillet. There are few salads, fruits soaked in syrup, apples, bananas and oranges. Even some kind of overcooked rice, the pasta is hardly edible. Desserts from the same dough with different fillings, morning pastries are stale. For an omelette during breakfast, the queue is 15 minutes. Of course, the price of the hotel is low, but why starve? My wife decided to go on a diet, she ate little, and I suffered. Thank God they didn't get poisoned. Alcohol, like everywhere else in Egypt, is tasteless. There is simply not enough beer in the bars, one can only dream of wine. The bar in the lobby is paid! All inclusive does not work there. From time to time, while dispensing drinks, the bartenders muttered some incomprehensible words in Arabic, only some bartenders smiled, while the main faces expressed complete disdain.

Only the fish were happy on the beach. The reef is not great, but there are really a lot of fish, from smaller coral fish to lionfish, moray eels, stingrays, some can be seen just walking along the pontoon. The pontoon is old, in some places it strongly bends underfoot. Walking is not very comfortable. You can go from the shore, but you need corals. If someone is afraid to swim at a depth, it does not make sense to choose this hotel.
The territory as a whole is normal, green, pretty, the pools have bars, the animation takes place by the pool, which is closer to the sea. My wife regularly went to all aerobics and dances, as a result, she lost 2 kg in a week. So you can safely lose weight in the hotel. Evening animation was standard and boring, but once they showed a show with fakirs and dances of a quite decent level. Outside the hotel there are a number of shops where you can buy the essentials. At the airport, we bought a SIM card with the Internet for $15, enough for a week, the Internet caught well, enough for communication with relatives and for social networks. We also booked excursions on the Internet, chose the redsey travel agency. Pegasus prices were cosmic. We went to Israel for 1 day and rode quad bikes. In general, we are satisfied with the excursions. But in Israel, again, the food was poor. Therefore, in addition to dry rations from the hotel, it makes sense to grab sandwiches from dinner or buy something in nearby stores.
