I rested in Rotana Coral Beach Tiran from April 28 to May 7.2010. I lived alone in a standard double room with no view. She settled in without any problems, because it was already 18:30 local time. At the reception I was offered a room with a sea view for extra. fee, but on the advice of my travel agent, I first asked to show me mine, and then choose. I looked, everything was arranged, I stayed there to live, I didn’t pay anything extra.
In my opinion, it makes sense to pay for a room with a sea view only when you plan to spend a lot of time in the room, organize a "movement" on your balcony or make love on it (make allowance for insects) : )
and so, the sea on the territory of the hotel can be seen from everywhere.
If the question of the form is fundamental for you, then I advise you to choose numbers from those that start with 1.

According to the general impression, the hotel is a full-fledged four. There are no "4+" or "practically 5" there. The service corresponds to the category of the hotel.
Small claims are only to the rooms. The fact that the hotel was opened in 2000 is already evident in the condition of the furniture, plumbing and showers. Moreover, this is in any room, no matter how much you pay for it. I noticed that my room was not specially prepared for check-in. Apparently no one lived there for a couple of weeks and a certain dust accumulated, which was gradually washed out due to daily wet cleaning during my stay: ) The quality of the cleaning is normal, but they clean better with a tip. Plumbing and showers are not disinfected, but this is rarely done in fours. There are no bathrobes and slippers in the bathrooms.
Also the first day I had no hot water. Knocked out some kind of heating electropacket. But after contacting the reception, the problem was eliminated in 20 minutes. In general, all my appeals to the reception or to any staff have never been ignored. Everything was resolved promptly.
True, they can be stupid if you ask to fix something for you at night, but this is not surprising.

I read in reviews about ants and even rats. I saw small ants in my evenings near the sink one by one, two by two. This number is not disturbing. There were no rats or any unpleasant insects in my room. True, I did not do such nonsense as sleeping at night with an open balcony.

The territory is in good and well-groomed condition. It is noticeable that they are watching every day, something is glued, screwed, greased. The hotel is on a hill, there are ladders and climbs. If you are overweight, this can be a bit difficult. Of course, there are less greenery and flowers than in Four Seasons : ), but much more than in the desert outside the territory.

After a natural disaster in February and a story with a broken pontoon, a new beach was built at Rotana Coral Beach. It goes down three steps to the sea. There is no entry into the sea, only on the pontoon.

Therefore, if you or your child do not know how to swim well, pools are your destiny. A caretaker is constantly on duty on the pontoon. The reef is good - no worse than in the Ras Mohammed reserve or near Tiran Island. Depth not less than eight meters. Dive in. The deeper, the more beautiful.
The beach is usually windy. But in my understanding, in the heat it is even a plus. Quality sunscreen and no skin problems at all. The showers and toilets on the beach are ok. All is clear. During my stay, the hotel was not completely full, so there were no problems with free sun loungers.

There is construction going on next to the hotel. It was even a little visible from my balcony, but not heard at all. In addition, in that part of the territory there is nothing interesting for guests, there is no need to go there, nothing irritated.

I read that someone was annoyed by the airport. Like, it can be seen, and heard, and stinks. I do not agree.
The airport is really visible (it is located 8 km from the hotel) and you can see flying planes. But not more. Nothing is heard, nothing smells. The smell sometimes spread from boats with bananas, pills and other entertainment, but we are probably not immune from this on any sea-ocean. I talked with tourists from the Concorde and Hilton hotels, so planes generally landed and took off over them, and no one complained.

Animation is normal. Nothing professional, but with soul. Happy yoga, aerobics, volleyball. From 21:00 the program for children began, from 22:00 - for adults. Every night, the animators gathered everyone and took them by bus to different discos. The price depended on what kind of disco.

Lots of food at the hotel. Much more than in European resorts. In addition to the restaurant, there were snacks all day long at the bars near the pools and at the beach bar. The restaurant is good - and design, and assortment, and service.

For vegetarians and lovers of healthy food - a paradise, there are plenty of vegetables in all forms. No stupid pasta. Always available was one type of meat, poultry and fish. There are really few fruits - mostly only oranges, sometimes dates, grapefruits, as well as melon and apples in a fruit salad. The bakery is great and varied. In general, compared to what the Egyptians themselves eat, the restaurant menu is maximally adapted to European tastes.

The layout of the restaurant is not intuitive, so the first couple of visits will have to get used to what and where it is. I do not understand the claims of guests to the service from the waiters. You come to a self-service restaurant, they serve you a table with sets, cotton napkins and cutlery, in addition, they come, welcome, offer drinks to choose from, take out, repeat. Naturally, you are not alone, there are at least 700 guests and no one will stand next to you personally.
If you want to draw special attention to yourself, leave a tip. It's best to immediately give money to the head waiter (they call themselves "Captain" and wear white shirts, unlike the others in red ones). The senior always organizes a table for you for the right number of people, and will urge subordinates on.
Personally, when I was resting without company, I didn’t give tea to any of the waiters at all. It didn't hurt my attitude in the slightest.

Perhaps, earlier there could be problems with the service. But during my vacation, I regularly observed top managers of the Rotana network in the restaurant and on the territory. I also heard about regular staff meetings. Apparently it has a good effect.

I did not feel any discrimination based on nationality. Russian-speaking guests were about 70%, however, the staff understands English better and more than Russian (although they try), so I communicated in English.
In bars, everyone was poured and treated without restrictions on the number in one hand.

As for the impudent harassment of girls - not true. The staff is absolutely not allowed. Of course, they stare and drool, but no more. If you like it, you can giggle with them, if not, they are easy to put in place. Just don't give a reason.

If I have to rest in Egypt myself again, I will most likely return to this hotel.
Enjoy your holiday at Rotana Coral Beach Tiran.
