The hotel was chosen for a long time and carefully, we read a lot of reviews, including on this site, and as a result, after talking with the tour operator, we chose Rojana. Why? Because 5 stars are always better than 4, the price and the phrase of our manager were quite satisfied: “The boss was resting there - she said that everything was just great. ” Well, now in order...
(For those who are not very interested in reading a lot of letters, I still advise you to read the last 3 paragraphs)
HOTEL: Of course, this is far from the declared five. In the same India, such hotels have a maximum of 3 stars. Well, the maximum is a weak four, so those who are waiting for the service declared for 5 stars should better look for another hotel. The territory is not small, but not a park. You can walk for 15 minutes between the buildings. There are cute bushes, flowers and palm trees with which it is quite possible to take pictures as a keepsake. In principle, everything is beautiful, well-groomed and trimmed. The hotel consists of 4 large two-story buildings and many smaller ones. All rooms on the second floor have a balcony with 2 wicker chairs and a table, on the first floor there is a terrace. The downside of the first floor is that you can’t sit on the terrace in a buzz - someone is constantly walking by. The hotel has several swimming pools with slides, water polo goals and a volleyball net. There are two beaches (the third was not found).

ROOMS: Settled exactly at 14:00. If you're lucky, they'll give you a number earlier, but this rarely happens. We lived in a standard room with a sea view, in building number 3. In my opinion, it is extremely well located, since both the beach and the “eat” are within easy reach. The furniture is shabby, old, but if you don’t find fault, everything is fine. Exactly as in the photos. The lack of overhead light was a little annoying, since the lighting in the room was a floor lamp and 2 sconces by the beds.
In the room - a set for tea and coffee: a small electric kettle, sugar, coffee (Nescafe classic), black and green tea (Lipton), all in bags of 2 pieces; bar fridge: 2 bottles of water, 2 cola, 2 juice. Everything was replenished as it disappeared, once a day, so that the set was complete. Towels for hands-legs-face-bath, everything was changed once a day, as it should be. . . It is worth noting that towels for legs were often not washed at all. Also, upon arrival, a set was issued with 2 tubes of shampoo (by the way, not bad), 1 conditioner, and a bunch of any accompanying nonsense. In principle, there is not enough shampoo for 2 women, so you should take it with you.
BEACH: There are two beaches - sandy and coral. The sandy beach is the main one. It is small, with a pontoon and a sandy entrance about 5-10 meters, then stones - dead coral for another 15 meters. Then the coral ends and the depth begins about 10 meters. At high tide, the depth on the coral is somewhere to the waist, at low tide - just above the knee. For children - just expanse! Different fish - the sea! Swimming with a mask is a pleasure. Moreover, they are both at depth and on this coral itself.
As for the beach itself, it is small and the first lines are tied up with towels in the evening and everything else is occupied. Moreover, in such a bound state, sun loungers can easily stand almost until noon. When there are a lot of people in the hotel, there are problems with free places. But on the second beach (it is further away and the entrance there is only from the pontoon) there are practically no people.

FOOD: There is a lot of it, it is everywhere - in the main restaurant, in bars, on the beach... food is served at any time of the day or night, just in different places. The food is very tasty and very varied. Lots of meat dishes, desserts, vegetables. There are always 2-3 fish dishes - mostly battered fish. To be honest, there was not enough fruit - mostly oranges, guava, dates and watermelons. The main restaurant has theme nights where you can have Japanese rolls, Greek peaches or Turkish shawarma for dinner. Complaints about abdominal pain and indigestion in 99% of cases are not related to the quality of food, but to its quantity and combinations. Wash down a pickled cucumber with milk… you understand : )))) There were no juices as such. They poured something more like Zucco or freshly squeezed for 2 bucks a glass. A separate joy of the coffee machine - you never know what you will get at the exit, no matter what you pressed the button there : ))))
ANIMATION: Well, it's just super. There is always something somewhere. Darts, beach volleyball, club dances on the beach that any fan of back warming will learn by heart, belly dance lessons, aerobics and so on. . . The entertainment starts at 10 am and goes on almost all day, ending with a disco until 3 am. Separately, there is a children's club with a playground and its own animation and disco. In general, I think the hotel is excellent for children - there is absolutely everything for them.
SERVICE: To be honest, the service staff there are arrogant and spoiled. The bartender can easily ask you to pour something, say “Yes, wait”, and no one will run on tiptoe in front of you. At the reception, the Arabs speak Russian extremely hard. But “Good afternoon, how are you” sounds at every turn in such a way that it even tires. The rooms are cleaned from 8 to 18, so when your turn comes, it’s another question, and when it’s how they clean it – when we even put toothbrushes in parallel and manicure accessories were laid out picturesquely on the table, and when sand remained on the floor.
SOME NUANCES:

1) RELATED TO BATHING. When we arrived there was a black flag on the beach. Needless to say, the tour operator did not warn about such joy? But, despite this, everyone swam perfectly, whoever wanted where. The rescue guard whistled only if someone swam far away. But on the 23rd of the day, unexpectedly, everyone was abruptly dragged onto the pontoon - they somehow explained that they saw sharks. Representatives of the hotel said that the guard allegedly took a picture of two sharks on his mobile phone (by the way, the guard has nothing to take pictures of corny - he only has his megaphone with a buzzer and a walkie-talkie). Swimming was allowed only in shallow water. The next day they already said that large fish simply swam to the beach, but they were not allowed to swim, as sharks could come for the fish. In general, we flew away on the 27th - we never launched into the depths. At the same time, neighboring hotels and even the Radzhanovsky second beach swam wherever they wanted and water activities worked to the fullest. Someone said that according to Sharm, the threat of sharks had not been removed since the fall, but no one really said anything.
2) RELATED TO PEGASUS. Despite the fact that the review is mainly about the hotel, I cannot but say about Pegasus, who actually bought this hotel. No other Russian tour operator works with Rajana. They were supposed to fly to Egypt at 3 o'clock Moscow time, the day before departure it turned out that the flight was postponed to 8:30. Thus, we were at the hotel around 12 noon Egyptian time. Our luggage was folded right at the entrance to the hotel (this is a luggage room), they put on a bracelet for us and sent us for a walk until 14. The transfer was organized perfectly. Everything is clear, clear, no complaints. At a meeting with the guide, they told what was happening, but basically, of course, they advertised excursions. Samir is generally smart - patient, attentive, she will tell and explain everything. We preferred to contact him for all questions.
Specifically spoiled the impression of the rest of the day of departure. The fact is that initially the departure was scheduled for 20:30 on 27.04. We, full of confidence that we still had at least half a day, swam, sunbathed and did not blow our heads. But in the evening it turned out that our flight was postponed... at 8:30. That's it, just 12 hours early. Okay, we digested this news, went to dinner, returned to the room to pack our bags, when the phone rang and we were informed that the flight was rescheduled again... already at 6:30 in the morning... So, in fact, the whole day was stolen from us. And after all, you won’t find fault - they have the right. And this is not an isolated case when evening flights are transferred to the early morning. In most cases, this is exactly what happens. So we don't go to Pegasus hotels anymore. And, of course, the situation with the beach was not very pleasantly surprised. Why did the tour operator not even hint that a black flag was hung in the beach hotel for swimming.
