Returned on 10/17/08. first time in Egypt. Immediately a general conclusion about the hotel - full compliance with price and quality. Iron 3 stars. Agree with most of the reviews. A very pleasant trip experience.
But I'll start with inconsistencies with the description on the site and some objective inconveniences.
The safe is not free - at the reception you pay $ 5 for the entire stay and use it around the clock. No hairdryers/shampoos/soaps. But it's all in the store downstairs. In October, they got mosquitoes, but in a pharmacy around the corner I bought an electric Raid (cheaper than ours) and the problem was solved. At first, the quality of cleaning was a little shocking - they had not heard of modern cleaning machines there, the staff are clearly amateurs, they simply do not understand how to do it correctly. The bed linen is frankly old and washed out, not dirty of course, but it will be difficult for those who are pathologically squeamish. For some reason, there was no refrigerator in my room; (But I spat and did not pay ten for relocation. I didn’t regret it at all - otherwise everything is fine, but I don’t even like to drink cold at home : ). The furniture is old, but functional, nothing breaks, everything is fine. Plumbing too. The air conditioner did not work at first, but the guys came, they did everything right away in 10 minutes. The free beach is a complete paddling pool for children, complete safety, but this is not the sea and not Sharm, we have such. But in a 7-10 minute walk towards the open sea there is a beautiful wild coast, there is no beach as such, not too clean, there is nothing to do without special slippers, but amazing corals, few people and that’s why it’s worth going to Sharm El Sheikh - there is no other coast like this. Fairy tale, no words to describe! By the way, I was on other beaches and islands. It is this “wild coast” that is the most beautiful in terms of viewing the underwater world, you just don’t have enough time to explore the entire coastal reef with a mask and snorkel until the next cape.

I will return to the hotel. Feeding is quite decent, meat 2 times a day, fish for dinner (though not very well cooked). Good pastries, lots of vegetables, salted cottage cheese in the morning. I have repeatedly heard that someone remains hungry and wants sausages and bacon (and more))). I'm not surprised why post-Soviet men are dying like flies; ) So, excuse me, eat - and I would not live to see my 40s; ). Personally, I (despite the fact that I’m used to eating high quality and without restrictions) have never had a desire to buy something “after” from food. An exception is to try exotics in a restaurant somewhere in the city or drink tea and coffee. He brought homemade cookies with him; ), but he didn’t even untie the bag.
Yes, another inconvenience - not a single person from the staff speaks Russian at all. But it seems to me that it’s already the 21st century in the yard, it’s time for our people to get used to the fact that not the entire population of the Earth (luckily for them) managed to live under the SS))). Without elementary English, it will be difficult in the city, on excursions, and in a taxi. “Pure” Russian-speakers, in my opinion, lose 90% of their communication opportunities. And not only in Sharm; )
There is Misha who understands Russian - a seller in a shop at the hotel. A separate conversation about him - a very good guy, nice to talk to, prices for a time when I was extremely low, but the assortment is not very rich - the shop is tiny. But if you wish, this Misha can get literally EVERYTHING that you want (well, this is not for everyone : )), he will bring it, and if you want, he will take it where you need it. And this is at ridiculous prices, mind you. And it's not just about money. I'm just impressed by the staff in general (not just Misha). Despite the fact that the guys did not go through any school, as in expensive hotels, they are sincerely friendly, go forward, friendly, ready to help. You can't fake something like that, and it's not always possible to buy something like that for money.
Advice for "Soviet" tourists; ) Behave with dignity, while respecting the foreign country where you came to visit, to a foreign culture, do not be rude, do not get drunk on free alcohol. And you yourself will like everything, and after you will have a normal impression of you personally and your country.

In general, the hotel has everything that I expected and even a little better. I have long had a thought - those who whine and are dissatisfied, they whine everywhere, both at home and at work as well. Such people are simple; ) Those who want the European level of services - to Europe, gentlemen, there is also a sea and resorts there. Those who go to see Egypt and Sharm, and at the same time spend money not on the stars of the hotel, but on the exotic - you will not regret it here.
