This summer I had a chance to rest in Egypt for the first time. Since the validity of the passport was coming to an end, this country was perhaps the best option for a summer holiday abroad.
The tour agency almost immediately offered me a vacation in the huge Domina Coral Bay hotel complex, and specifically in the five-star All-Inclusive hotel Domina Coral Bay Oasis Garden. The tour operator in this case was Pegas Touristic. Length of stay at the hotel - 11 nights (10 days). I quickly agreed to the proposed conditions, especially since the price suited me perfectly.
And now I will tell you about the impressions that I had after the rest in the above-mentioned hotel complex. About everything in order.
So, the first thing is the flight there and back. The departure time to Egypt according to Moscow time was quite successful - three and a half hours in the afternoon.

Despite the fact that my stay at Domodedovo airport did not give me pleasure (I had to spend a very long time in the check-in queue and in the hall with passport control booths) and the delay in the departure of the charter flight, the flight itself brought positive emotions. The TransAero aircraft turned out to be equipped with individual touch screen monitors for passengers. With its help, it was possible to use the service of watching various films completely free of charge, study the flight map, play games of chance with a computer, etc. I preferred to watch a movie and, it should be noted, I chose Wolverine Beginning from a very good selection. I must also say about the general high level of service on the plane: friendly stewards and stewardesses, good food, plus they offered juices and water several times.
With the time of arrival, the order is also the same: there were 4 hours in the air, and they arrived in Sharm El Sheikh (the city on whose territory Domina Coral Bay is located) at 5 pm local time. In general, everything is excellent.
It is a pity that all this service was not on the way back. Unfortunate departure time (19.30 Egypt), especially considering that the hotel room had to be vacated at noon. Unsuccessful and arrival time - two in the morning in Moscow. This led to the fact that I had to stay at the airport for about three hours at night, waiting for the first Aeroexpress train. The desire to go by taxi completely disappeared because of the cost. And the flight itself, with the exception of pleasant communication with fellow passengers, brought little pleasure. There was some kind of failure in the system and there was no opportunity to watch the movie, drinks were no longer worn several times, and the chair failed - something broke and its back could not be lowered.
We go further. Transfer.
Everything is in order here: a representative of Pegas Touristic met at the airport, and, according to the statement, distributed passengers among buses. Buses, respectively, transported everyone to the hotels.
Upon arrival at the hotel, it was necessary to register and settle in the room. Registration went very well. The Russian-speaking administrator congratulated us on arrival, offered us a local drink, completed the necessary documents and issued an electronic card - the key to the room. In addition, the administrator informed me about the possibility of staying in a room with a jacuzzi for an additional fee, to which I refused, since the purpose of my vacation was not at all to spend whole days in the room, albeit in a jacuzzi.

After checking in, one of the local workers, who spoke little Russian, took me on a hotel minibus called Taf-Taf to my room. Showing me the number, for some reason he did not want to go out for a long time and either croaked or said something like "nice room".
I understood that he wanted money, but for some reason he did not dare to say it directly. Well, okay. They stood, croaked, smiled at each other, and he walked away. Then the manager came, to whom I was able to ask a few questions and get intelligible answers. He did not speak Russian, but we communicated well in English. It should be noted that I managed to talk with him on the penultimate day of my stay at the hotel. His name is Hani, and he is well done - friendly, affable and will try to answer any question. Hani explained to me how to get to the restaurant. I went to dinner and then went to bed. The next day, I was already able to fully enjoy all the delights of the hotel complex. They will be discussed.
Before talking about the room and its service, I consider it necessary to note that, as it turned out the next day, I was not settled at the Oasis Garden Hotel, as planned.
The Russian hotel guide Natalya said that I was upgraded (I don’t know the reason) and settled in a slightly more expensive Sultan hotel on the territory of the same Domina Coral Bay hotel complex. The upgrade was that I was allowed to use an additional pool, located a stone's throw from the room, and an all-inclusive bar at this pool. In addition, in my room, the minibar had to be replenished every day (a bottle of water and two cans of cola, fanta or sprite); without the Upgrade, I would have had the right to fill the minibar only on the first day of my stay, otherwise I always had drinking water, which sometimes saved me from the heat.
I was very pleased with the room and its service. All at the highest level. Particularly pleased with the presence of a second bed, I felt like a prince. Every day the room was cleaned, bed linen and towels changed.
At my service was adjustable air conditioning, TV, Wi-Fi (the speed, however, left much to be desired), a safe with a combination lock, a balcony with two chairs and a table overlooking the sea.

Let's move on to nutrition. The dining room-restaurant is open three times a day (morning, afternoon, evening) at strictly allotted hours. Buffet. Eat as much as you like. The menu is quite plentiful. But ...Personally, I got tired of all this abundance somehow quickly. It seems that everything is there, but in reality, as they sometimes say, there is nothing. By the fifth day, I was already fed up with pasta, potatoes, some of the sweets, and I began to eat mostly fruits and juices. The dining room staff is quite friendly and benevolent, however, more in relation to the girls.
The Red Sea, to be fair to it, is simply awesome, albeit salty. There was a coral shore on the territory of the hotel, so the entrance to the water for swimming was made from pontoons, 50 meters from the shore. The sea is very clean, so lovers of snorkeling here are the most expanse. Picturesque corals are located under the water and no less picturesque fish swim. However, both of them can often be observed from the pontoon itself, without plunging into the water. In a nutshell, the sea is beautiful.
The Domina Coral Bay hotel complex has a wide coastline, and almost all of it is at the disposal of tourists. True, not all tourists are allowed to be present on all beaches. It depends on which hotel this or that person belongs to. Access to the largest central beach and pontoon is open to everyone. All beaches are in excellent condition, clean, equipped with everything necessary for those who like to sunbathe or lie in the shade under an umbrella.
The beaches open at 7.30 am, but swimming is only allowed from 8.30 am. The end time of entry into the water, when rescuers begin to drive everyone off the pontoons and pull them out of the water, is six o'clock in the evening (they say that predatory fish swim up to the shore at this time, threatening to eat tourists).
It would seem okay. You can’t swim in the sea in the evening and at night, then you can go to the pool. But no. For reasons I do not understand, it is also forbidden to swim in the pools in the evening (at half past six they disperse the people). In my opinion, this is incorrect. Let the pool need to be cleaned, but why not let people swim in the evening when it's not so hot anymore.
So, once with a friend Alexander in the evening they just sat by the pool (all pools, by the way, have a backlight), and then, out of nowhere, a local employee appeared on a scooter and began to explain to us that, they say, it’s impossible, using the phrases " No swimming" and "Not allowed".

I feel that these "Know svimin" and "note ellaud" (precisely gently through "I", but for some reason not "ellaud", as it should be) will enter our everyday life with a friend for a long time.
A few words about the territory of the hotel. As I mentioned, it is quite large. There is where to walk, there is something to see. But in hot weather, it is unlikely that you will want to wander the streets for a long time. One such walk was enough for me to take a lot of photos as a keepsake, but I did not go around all the streets of the hotel. There are several points from which the most beautiful view opens directly to the sea and the entire hotel complex as a whole.
All kinds of entertainment and health complexes are presented on the territory (from SPA and fitness to a casino and a disco club), although you can use them, as a rule, only for an additional fee. The shopping area is of particular interest: many shops selling everything from clothes and fridge magnets to oils.
There are practically no prices anywhere, so you need to be able to bargain very well. The sellers in the stores are most often Egyptians who speak Russian very well and are so “friendly” and so sociable that they try to drag any tourist into their store, show how they do business and are very often offended if you didn't buy anything from them. Some of the sellers, like other Russian-speaking Egyptians, are fluent in Russian obscene language and sometimes use it very colorfully, but not in order to send it to a well-known place, but, on the contrary, in order to praise their products or customers.
Now, I think, it is worth talking about the complex of entertainment and entertainment events held at the hotel. A whole team of Russian and Italian animators works here. In the morning, they offer vacationers various games on the beach and Latin American dances in the Zumba style.
I wrote a separate article about this (which I have not published anywhere yet), and I will not dwell on it in detail. Let me just say that this is a dance primitive, from which I probably grew up.

Each evening, an outdoor stage entertainment team puts on a free show program that typically begins with fifteen minutes of commercials, continues with a musical, and ends with an invitation to the audience for subsequent nightly events. Some musicals are staged at a very high professional level (one of the performances even made me empathize with the heroine emotionally), others are mediocre and pull out only due to bright costumes and scenery. So the level of show programs is different. Their content is different, for an amateur.
After the show, everyone was invited every evening to go to the Mosaique Cafe and take part in the same dances that were on the beach in the morning.
You could not participate, but just sit in a cafe. You could sit and not just, but order something to drink or eat. The participants in the dances, which I still cannot call Latin American, under the guidance of animators, could jump, clap and shake their bodies from time to time. In my opinion, this is not dancing, but "kindergarten". I don't know where society is headed. Was it really impossible to learn any dance sequence in stages, honing the movements? Probably it was possible. But people are also involved in this. Why complicate. That seems to be the whole logic. However, to each his own.
Well, after dancing in Mosaique, Stargate Disco Club was waiting for everyone, where parties were held every evening. I would like to dwell on one of them in more detail.
It all started with the fact that on the first day of our stay, after lunch, a girl named Natasha from the animation group approached me and my friend Sanya and began to offer to become members of the "Social Party" in this very Stargate Disco Club. She explained that this was a dating party, that at the party everyone would get to know each other, which meant broadcasting the whole action on the big screen in the club and on the Internet. Among other things, the club has an "All Inclusive" system, which means free drinks and alcohol throughout the party. The time of the event is from 00.00 to 04.00. The cost declared by Natasha was $16. Alexander and I thought a little and decided to attend this event.
What did we find when we came to the club? Instead of the appointed midnight, they began to let us into the club only closer to one in the morning. Consider, a quarter of the time and money have already been stolen from us.

Starting at about half past twelve, animators began to walk down the street and hand out badges to everyone, on which, according to them, one should write their name on Facebook. I did not immediately understand what it was for, but they explained to me that this was necessary for a dating party. Due to the lack of a Facebook account, I wrote my name on the badge in contact and subsequently even received the approval of several people who came to the party.
The party itself was, in my opinion, just disgusting. As such, there were no acquaintances on it at all. Or rather, there was no dating program, as Natasha promised. As I understood later, all acquaintances just had to consist in the fact that you wear a badge with your name on Facebook. At the same time, the pages of some people from this social network were broadcast on a small 15-inch screen. That's all the acquaintances, that's all that concerned the theme of the party. Okay, don't say anything.
Was it really impossible to arrange some kind of interactive with the presenter, so that people would really talk? But, alas. My expectations were not met at all. Separately, I will say about the music. Basically it's either pounding, which is slightly mixed by a DJ with slow romantic music, or popular tracks such as Opa Gangam Style, Danza Kuduro and others. Nothing special. As Sanya later noted, the sound equipment also leaves much to be desired (high frequencies did not leave him indifferent). The smoke effect also deserves attention. That's horrible. I won't pick another word. Bad-smelling and not at all thick smoke, poison.
In the end, I got tired of the whole thing, I danced a little and left the club somewhere around 02.30. On the street, I managed to talk with representatives of the hotel, who said that nothing better could be expected here.
More than others, I liked the trip to the water park, which gave me many new positive sensations. The water park features about 30 different slides, of which the most breathtaking are "Free Fall", "Kamikaze", "Tsunami" and "Black Hole".

The disadvantage, perhaps, of all excursions is their organization. So, for example, we were told that the departure to the water park would be at 10.00 am. Sanya and I arrived even earlier at the designated place and had to wait for the bus for about an hour. As a result, our group was in the water park only at half past eleven, while the water park itself opens at ten o'clock. And we went back earlier than it was stated. I noted the same organizational shortcomings during other trips. Lacks some clarity. I don't like it when they call one time, but in reality it turns out quite differently.
You feel a little deceived, just like in Russia, as if you never left.
Another disadvantage of excursions and trips is the overpriced cost of the tour operator. As we managed to find out, if you leave the hotel and go to the city, you can find excursions, the cost of which is sometimes two times lower than that stated by Pegas Touristic. On the other hand, the tour operator, if you buy an excursion from him, is responsible for your safety during the trip. And when buying on the side, it is not clear how things are with this.
I have no complaints about the quality of the excursions and trips themselves. On the contrary, I liked everything very much, especially the water park and a walk on the bathyscaphe, the bottom of which goes 4 meters under water, which allows passengers to observe the beauty of the coral world.
In addition to excursions, Alexander and I went to the city on our own three times. For the first time, we visited a shopping center under construction and wandered around its large territory.
I feel that in a few years this center will take on a life of its own. There are various statues and figures of animals. A separate emphasis is placed on life-size figures of dinosaurs, which, obviously, will make movements when this center opens. I think that this will be a place not only for shopping, but also for excursions and recreation for tourists.
During the second foray into the city, we reached a place called Namma Bay. This is one of the entertainment points of Sharm El Sheikh, which includes various hotels, many shops, cafes and nightclubs. They say that in the evenings here, often right on the street), various shows and discos are arranged. We didn’t see this, but we managed to inadvertently swim on the private beach of some other hotel. The abundance of retail outlets on Namma Bay also determines the abundance of annoying sellers, even more "friendly" than on the territory of the hotel.

Not far from Namma Bay is the Fun Town amusement park, which, alas, is closed and, as it seemed to us, for a long time, which is noticeable from the paint on the rides eaten by the sun.
And finally, for the third time, Alexander and I walked about two hours one way to a place called Soho Square. It is also a very beautiful part of the city, on the territory of which the Savoy Hotel and the skating center are located. Unfortunately, we were not able to attend the fountain show, which, along with other entertainment events, starts on Soho around 9 10 pm. We got back on the Egyptian minibus for one dollar for two and managed to feel a small adrenaline rush when the driver squeezed 125 km / h out of the car, instead of the allowed 60.
The peculiarity of all hiking was that the Egyptians sometimes turned out to be too friendly.
The sellers tried, as in the hotel, to drag us into their stores, taxi drivers and minibus drivers, passing us, constantly honked, incomprehensible people at some stores offered camel rides and hashish. All this somewhat overshadowed the impression of walking, but apparently due to the fact that local residents just need to somehow earn money.
Summing up, I will say that I managed to relax quite well. However, I do not want to return to this hotel yet. As I managed to understand, I prefer a more active holiday, while everything is provided for here and predisposes to something else - to swimming and sunbathing, that is, more often to rest in a horizontal position.
