Prestige of the hotel
Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh 5* is the most expensive and prestigious hotel in Egypt. The prestige of this hotel can be judged not only by who chooses it for their vacation, but also for more significant events and dates in life. To celebrate the re-election of the President of Egypt for a new term at the Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh 5 * hotel, as a result of a great political event, is a much greater honor for the hotel and emphasizes its exclusivity and prestige!

Transfer. Check-in hotel

When you first register with a representative of the tour operator, you do not have to stand in long queues. There is a special window for you, where, regardless of the flight and the tour operator, the clerk sits and announces at the top of his voice: “Four Seasons”, “Rixos”. You without a queue - here. Next is the transfer. For a comfortable limousine from the airport to the hotel, if you have not pre-ordered and paid for it, then do not count. Gone are the good old days, and the Four Seasons Sharm 5 * hotel now saves on everything.
There is also no free limousine transfer back: from the hotel. Four Seasons Sharm Hotel 5 * is located near the airport and the bus covers this path in 15-20 minutes, if there are no long trips to other hotels on the way to disembark passengers.
Already at the entrance to the hotel, half a kilometer before the entrance gate, an avenue of palm trees and green bushes appears on both sides of the road. This is how the hotel welcomes its guests. And you appreciate it: this is the level! At the entrance gate with an automatic metal barrier - a short stop. And the bus driver turns off the engine so that the curly red dog sniffs the whole bus around for explosives.

Main building. Lobby. service department
Numerous colonnades were built at the entrance to the main building, both at the very entrance, giving a grand appearance to the entire complex of buildings and structures from the side of the entrance, and on the entire adjacent square.
The left wing of the main building, in accordance with the Moorish style of architecture, in addition to the columns, also has horseshoe-shaped arched elements in front of the premises, which are leased for shops. And, as expected, in front of the entrance there is one large fountain and several smaller ones - all in high bowl-shaped round pools.

The lobby at the Four Seasons Sharm 5 * hotel is small, without much grandiosity, but neat, thought out to the smallest detail and equipped with a square, more precisely, a cubic hall with a high domed ceiling in the center. There is no special flashy luxury here, the brilliance of gold and gilded interior details, but high art is felt, both in the architectural Moorish style of the building itself, and in every detail of the interior and the entire interior filling of the hall.

A large bouquet of fresh flowers is striking - white gladioli and pink peonies in seven tall vases on a huge, one and a half meters in diameter, glass table in the middle of the lobby. And these flowers instilled in my Soul the warmth of my home...
The staff at the hotel are very friendly, helpful and pleasant to talk to. And this is already felt at the entrance to the main building of the hotel. The porter, or a slender Arab in a white livery who performs his functions, will always kindly open the front doors in front of you and say “Welcome, sir! » in your native language (he probably knows all the languages of the world! ) As soon as you enter the lobby, instantly a waiter will be next to you with a wet and cold (from the refrigerator) towel so that you can refresh your face, and will serve you a small one, like a beaker, a glass of freshly squeezed mango juice.
From the transfer bus of fifty passengers to the Four Seasons Sharm 5 * hotel, I left alone. And when I entered the lobby, I got the impression that everyone was already waiting for me here, that in connection with my arrival, and I was very flattered, the whole lobby with all the employees in it began to fuss, as if the President of Egypt had stopped by the hotel. And this impression continued to develop, right up to the departure from the hotel. Moreover, as I observed in the following days, such special attention from the hotel staff was enough in abundance for each newly arrived guest. I was not an exceptional person in this hotel.

reception. The receptionist always has a smile on his face, regardless of the circumstances, and is ready to solve all your problems related to the settlement. And in this he is helped by a sweet-looking, and especially in communication, Russian-speaking Guest Relations Alena.
When registering at the hotel, they no longer require a deposit of $600, as it was before - under the guarantee of payment for your future orders. This is also done in order to attract as many guests as possible to the hotel.

Rooms. The hotel has a total of 200 rooms, including 27 luxurious suites. 62 luxury residences and two villas. All hotel rooms and suites have a private balcony or veranda, most with magnificent views of the Red Sea. Rooms are decorated in a traditional oriental style with cozy furnishings. Each room has a seating area with flat-screen TV, dressing room and guest room as part of the living area. Rooms - superior comfort and quality finishes. On the floor - marble tiles - cold, but slippers are provided for each resident, they are included in the set - branded bathrobes of the Four Seasons hotel. Marble washbasin, large mirrors in the bathroom and in the guest room.
Egyptian cotton cambric bed linen makes for a particularly pleasant stay in the midday heat and promotes restful sleep. Rooms are cleaned, bed linen and towels are replaced and used tea-coffee bags and bath accessories are replenished twice a day. You don't even notice when they (the cleaners are always two) come and do the cleaning. Cleanliness and order are perfect. All rooms are private. Living in neighboring rooms is almost invisible - this is how the entrances to these mini-villas are located. The villa has a private swimming pool with a terrace and sun loungers.

The territory of the hotel is a solid green area interspersed with small individual miniature villas - residential rooms, each of which is practically in a separate building.
From the road itself, 1800 palm trees lined up in several rows, creating a tropical garden.
Yes, and the entire territory of the hotel is planted with such a large number (at least three thousand) of palm trees, plus numerous other topiary trees and bushes, that in general, the hotel area is a green oasis. This hotel oasis has no analogues not only in Sharm El Sheikh, but throughout Egypt.
The Four Seasons Sharm 5 * hotel was built in the Moorish style, which features columns, arched openings with an elevated horseshoe shape (in order to achieve greater height), vaults and private courtyards with fountains. In the midst of the desert heat from the north, the hotel area is cooled by the breeze of the Red Sea, and the noise of numerous fountains from courtyards and gardens near each room, similar to a villa, gives you the mood for a calm and peaceful holiday. Palace of the Alcazar HPv. in Seville, it resembles the area in front of a large dance hall: the same high horseshoe-shaped arches and numerous columns throughout the courtyard.

A bar is open here in the evenings and anyone can enjoy quiet music, drinks and smoking a fragrant hookah. Even in each room, the guest part of the room is separated from the bedroom by a dark brown openwork wooden arch. The same form in the Moorish style is given to the entrance gates of small villas. As in the Cordoba mosque (Mesquita), where each nave has access to the courtyard and each transverse nave corresponds to a ledge that serves as a buttress for the wall, similar ledges give each villa-room a resemblance to a fortress, especially since the walls of the entrance gate are crowned with a series of battlements. And if this wall is located frontally towards the sea, as in room 505, where I lived in many other rooms, then this battlement has a decrease, down to the floor, and thus opens up a wonderful view of the sea and the pool.
Mini-cars ply the vast territory of the hotel, which deliver the newly arrived guests of the hotel to the rooms.
There is a funicular constantly running from the main building to the lower pool, almost to the Red Sea itself (from 8:00 to 23:00), which is clearly not enough for vacationers in the most remote rooms in the seventh and eighth buildings.

Nutrition. The drinks. Meal concept: BB - breakfast only, buffet (drinks for an additional fee); HB - breakfast and dinner (drinks for an additional fee); FB - full board (breakfast, lunch, dinner);

Restaurants.
The Four Seasons Sharm 5 * hotel has only one Arabesque restaurant, which serves guests on a buffet basis and is open for breakfast from seven in the morning to 11:00. As well as four a-la-carte restaurants. The restaurants offer a wide range of gourmet dishes, ranging from Mediterranean to Italian cuisine.
Arabesque Restaurant - A small but well-furnished restaurant one floor below the lobby, on the left hand side. There is also a small terrace above splashing fountains and a brook babbling among the stones.
There is also a large fountain in the middle of the restaurant hall, around which there are tables, one of which I occupied. The atmosphere in the restaurant is pleasant, nice, the interior of the restaurant with some pretense of elegance and luxury. I had breakfast both on the open-air terrace above a splashing waterfall and babbling brook, and in the closed hall of the restaurant. Although I love natural Nature, I still felt more comfortable in a restaurant among the comfort and by the fountain ...Freshly squeezed juices for breakfast are not included in the tour price.
Breakfast buffet.

In addition to the usual scrambled eggs in such cases, scrambled eggs and pancakes cooked in front of you, two racks of salads, vegetables, yogurts, hard and soft cheeses, cold cuts (everything is there - delicious and not “paper”, as in many other hotels). And the crown dish of cold appetizers is red fish, and it is freely available in the form of thin cuts and salmon.
For breakfast, there are always chicken sausages (also delicious), there was once a chicken basturma (very tasty, with spices, skillfully cooked) ...And, of course, a variety of pastries. And all this can be washed down with tea of three varieties, orange or grapefruit juice. For dessert - strawberries (albeit in portions, not freely available), bananas, apples, oranges, and so on.
In my opinion, the breakfast is good, the food is high quality and tasty, but not up to the price for the tour that I paid. In “Rixos Sharm-El-Sheikh” 5 *, for example, for a price twice cheaper and according to the “All inclusive” food system for breakfast, everything is delicious twice as much.
A-la-carte restaurants. In all a la carte restaurants, lunch and dinner on the menu, which is in excess of the established menu, will have to be paid extra.

The beach is its own sand and coral, 100 meters long. Descent to the sea by funicular or stairs.
The beach in the hotel is original and convenient, as in rare hotels in Sharm El Sheikh, in that one hundred meters of it are at sea level, and you lie on a sun lounger, especially if you are in the first row from the sea, and the sea splashes and roars with the surf, literally at your feet. And not on a five-meter high cliff above the sea along the entire length of the beach, as everywhere else. Still, it's nice to sunbathe on the beach and listen to the usual sound of the surf, like in the Black or Azov Seas. Nostalgia…
To the left of the beach there is a wooden pier on stilts, high above the water - for diving enthusiasts. Motor boats drive up to it to take divers to interesting diving spots. Neither the noise of the engines nor their exhaust fumes interfere with rest, since these races are rare and are very rare: now there are not so many diving enthusiasts. There is also a plastic pontoon lined with wooden boards up to 60m long. The entrance to the sea is only from the pontoon.

On the beach, towels are in unlimited quantities, you can freely change them and take them in any quantity. The beds are good with soft mattresses. Waiters constantly walk along the beach and offer drinks to those who have their special call on the table: a wooden sign is installed vertically.
In general, the beach, as for a hotel claiming exclusive uniqueness in Egypt, strongly lets the hotel down. First of all, entry into the sea and a pontoon. With such a beach and the existing entry into the sea along the pontoon immediately to the depth, children and their parents have nothing to do on the beach of the Four Seasons Sharm 5 * hotel - just play in the sand or constantly sit on a sunbed under an umbrella. Only the pool remains. But only the Red Sea, and not the pools, is the main unique feature of Sharm El Sheikh and the whole world, including for children. And along the entire length of the beach it is impossible to take a step into the sea, so as not to cause a negative reaction from the lifeguard.
Children could admire the fish from the pontoon, but it is not adapted for this, there are no fences, and when rolling (and the sea is often worried), you can fall off such a plastic pontoon and fall into the sea. And in general, a plastic pontoon of small segments hinged to each other is the cheapest option for entering the sea to a coral reef, which I have only seen in Egypt, even in three-star hotels. And therefore, even upholstered on all sides with a board, it is not a decoration of a WIP-class hotel, which is claimed by the Four Seasons Sharm 5 * hotel. The wooden pontoon of the Diving Center does not impress with its appearance and suitability for swimming, with the constant movement of wheelbarrows with a hundred-kilogram load of oxygen cylinders in both directions. And its appearance is no better than hastily put together fishing wooden “masonry” on the Dnieper.
With that strikingly high level of service up there in the lobby, down here on the beach, it is a great contrast.

At the same time, I do not want to say that there is no high-level service on the beach either. They still wipe their glasses with soft napkins with a special cleaning agent, so exceptionally that the world becomes brighter and more beautiful through them ...They still carry apple juice in small beakers, though in limited quantities: they were late for a minute and asked - " Ah, no more! “So I never tried it, but I really wanted to!
What I also liked on the beach, and what other hotels do not have, is that they carry it along the beach and put large plastic containers with ice near you, in which there are several small bottles of water.
As for the beach of the Four Seasons Sharm 5 * hotel, it is impossible not to notice that it is too small for such a large hotel: sandy, near the sea, to which everyone aspires, only about 100m. I counted only eighty sunbeds! On the day of 100% load, and this is with 200 rooms for at least 400 guests, it is too little. There are also a dozen or two resting places on the rocks with sun loungers, such as a beach, but they do not solve the problem.
And one more moment of the beach business. At half past five or six o'clock in the morning, in the first row of sunbeds from the sea, the beach workers take up places for their sale, spreading towels. And, it happens, some of these places are empty, until lunch, until they wait for a rich client.

Sea. Corals and colorful fish - that's what, basically, they fly to Egypt thousands of kilometers away, at the Four Seasons Sharm 5 * hotel you will not be disappointed, but, on the contrary, delighted! The water in the sea is constantly clean and transparent, visibility is 20 meters, no less.
However, it is better to admire the corals and fish at close range (non-scared fish allow this). I also photographed corals from a distance of no more than 40cm. Only here is the problem with large fish, from half a meter or more, in size: they are not allowed closer than a couple of meters to themselves. I have not seen sharks. And thank God!

The sea for swimming is good, only for adults and those who can swim, since there is no entry into the sea from the beach, but only from the end of the pontoon, where the depth is already five meters or more. There is an extended platform with a box for beach towels: when you leave the sea, the lifeguard gives you a white and clean towel. Unfortunately, there is no bench on the pontoon so that you can sit down to rest or at least put on fins. There is only one umbrella and a chair - for the lifeguard. The bathing area from the pontoon and for the entire hundred-meter length of the beach is limited by buoys, ten meters wide.
And that's enough, because it's already so deep - more than twenty meters, that you can't even see the bottom. Therefore, the most comfortable area for swimming and watching corals and marine life is near the coral reef. True, the lifeguard always warns not to touch the corals: some are so fragile that even with a little pressure they break. But it will take hundreds of years for their growth and restoration!
In the sea, for the entire thirty-meter width, starting from the coast and inland, corals go, mostly already inanimate, and up to the reef, where already living corals flaunt. At the reef, the depth of the sea reaches five meters and then gradually, not sharply, increases. The reef and the coastline in general have a very favorable location for life and growth of corals: directly to the South. So the Sun, having risen from the left over the island "Tiran", illuminates the corals all day long, gives them its light, warmth and life.
And because the corals here are amazing, especially on the right, directly at the pontoon and further along the entire coast. To the left of the pontoon, beautiful corals do not begin immediately, but after five meters and almost to the very pier of the Diving Center. But there are already restrictive buoys.

The beauty of the corals of the Red Sea is unique. And I am convinced of this every time I visit hotels in Sharm El Sheikh. And near the hotel "Four Seasons Resort Sharm El Sheikh" 5 * they are one of the best! Diving is not needed here, just a mask and a breathing tube - and all the beauty of the coral reef is in front of you...

Fountains in the Four Seasons Sharm 5 * hotel are at every step, starting from the large one at the front door and ending with small ones in the courtyards on the territory of the hotel. I liked the fountains at the entrance to the main building, the large fountain below the Arabesque restaurant and a whole chain of fountains at the third stop of the funicular near the 300th building.

Here you can sit on the benches and listen to the music of the water splashing in the fountains. Great recreation area! And from the fountain under the Arabesque restaurant, you can walk down to the beach along the stream that originates from this fountain. And this brook is special: like a mountain brook, it murmurs between stones and boulders at its bottom, and several beautiful patterned bridges are thrown across it, standing on which I gazed at its living stream of water for a long time and tried to understand everything: what is he singing about? And, interestingly, in these places by the stream it is quiet and calm, there is not a soul: everyone is on the beach, by the pool or in bars .. .
