After reading the negative reviews, we decided that the hotel sucks. But there was not much choice, because with others there were problems with places in charters and 2 hotels (4 * and 5 *) simply did not confirm the reservation for us. To be honest, I expected the worst and was NOT DISAPPOINTED in the choice. Yes, I have been to hotels and more abruptly, and in Egypt for the 3rd time (before that I rested in 5 *). But let's still evaluate the hotel based on the price we paid, and it is an order of magnitude lower than many similar 4 *. However, first things first.
Accommodation There were no problems with the PEGAS tour operator, 15 minutes after leaving the airport building we were already at the hotel. It takes a maximum of 5 minutes to get to it and the bus makes the first stop there. We arrived early in the morning, by 10:00 we were already settled (they didn’t give money, it was enough to ask politely and smile charmingly : )). Guys I knew for $20 for 2 were given 3-room apartments with a kitchen-studio, other friends got the same room for free. We were also offered to pay extra and get a mansion, but we were quite satisfied with a small room overlooking the fountain (223). From him there was a pleasant feeling that it was raining outside the windows.
The room has nice furniture with marine figurines, TV with 1 Russian channel, refrigerator, shower, hair dryer, safe, air conditioning and a tiny balcony. Everything functioned and was in pretty good shape.

Service For delivering us with suitcases to the room on a typewriter demanded baksheesh (taxi service : )) The cleaner immediately showed us how to use the safe and Conder. They left a dollar each, so they created whole works of art on our beds: flowers, swans, crocodiles, decorated all this with fresh flowers from the flower bed. A couple of times they did not leave baksheesh, it was all the same. Yes, as they wrote in the reviews, 2 times in 10 days they did not change the towels for us, but simply twisted them carefully (the towels were not dirty). But you might think that at home you change towels every day (as well as bed linen). There was a joke with the cleaner: I meet him on the street and speak good English that we need not only shampoo, but also shower gel, body lotion and hair conditioner. He promises to bring everything. We go into the room, and there are only 5 bottles of shampoo in addition and the smiling muzzle of the cleaner at the door: is everything OK? I ask where the hair conditioner is, he drags me into the bathroom and shows me how the hair dryer turns on: “Here it is, hair conditioner! ”. I say that I need a conditioner in a bottle, he pretends that he does not know about this at all. So, if you use more than just shampoo, take everything with you. It is convenient that beach towels are not for cards, but for autographs. Yes, they are not chic and far from new, but they never gave us dirty and full of holes.
The territory is large, beautiful, quite green and well-groomed, there are many trees and flowers. There are playgrounds and swing benches for adults. The buildings are made in several different original architectural styles. 2 large pools with slides, bar and water polo gates, 1 small pool and an indoor pool for Arab women. The pools have beautiful straw umbrellas, as well as on the beaches. There were enough free sunbeds near any pool at any time. I did not find slime and sand at the bottom of the pools. They are cleaned every day, even the announcement hangs that in connection with this it is impossible to swim in them after 18:00. The hotel has a health center (massage, sauna, gym, beauty salon), billiards. All this (except massage and salon) the first half hour is free. The price of a massage can be reduced by 2 times, in terms of quality it is of medium scall.
Planes fly often and low, but not over the hotel itself, but a little to the side. There is little noise from them and it is interesting to consider.
Meals Unpleasantly surprised by the regime for All incl. (breakfast from 7:00 to 10:00, lunch from 13:00 to 15:00, dinner from 19:00 to 22:00), there is nowhere to eat for free during breaks (pizza and pancakes at the pool bar for a fee). Feeding sucks even for Egypt (the range is small, every day the same dishes in their own places). For breakfast, only pancakes and scrambled eggs are tasty, which are made in front of you, sausages are disgusting, ham is cheap. For lunch and dinner, 2-3 types of meat, fish, a lot of chopped fresh and stewed vegetables, from fruits - small pieces of melon, citrus fruits and unripe dates. There are a lot of pastries, but none. So lovers of delicious, varied and frequent food - not here. But the first time after the hotel All incl. I haven't gained an ounce. Drinks are free in bars from 10:00 to 00:00. Good beer and dry red wine. They also make cocktails: whiskey, rum, gin are mixed with juices or cola / sprite, they can add syrup. Delicious romkola.

Beach The hotel has 2 beaches. We didn't like the one with free buses. It takes about 15 minutes to get to it, there is a very long and narrow pantone, shallow and almost no corals. The only plus is that the bar is free. Much better than the municipal beach Shark Bay. (from the hotel to the left up to 2 pantones - free of charge). It takes about 25 minutes to walk to it, but it’s not very annoying, it’s even useful to shake the fats. You can take a taxi for a dollar. You can do it for free if you are girls... But even if you go on foot, get ready for the fact that ALL cars passing by will at least beep for a long time, and at the very least follow you to the beach with an obsessive offer to give you a ride. The beach has a beautiful coral reef along the entire length of the bay and a lot of fish of different species. We even saw a huge Napoleon fish. The fish are almost tame, they even eat from the hand, but they can grab a finger quite painfully. Towels should be taken with you, drinks can also be drained from cups into a plastic bottle the day before.
The animation is mediocre, the guys don't really bother themselves. In the afternoon, they can sluggishly hold some kind of darts-type game, water aerobics is useless, at 12:00 in the pool, when most are on the beach. In the evening - dance animators, karaoke and disco (every day! ) Moreover, the disco can be under karaoke in any repertoire, up to Russian rock and chanson. So if you have a good mood and company, you can entertain yourself very well. If you get bored, check out the aroma oil shop. There are very sincere guys, they know Russian very well, they will give you tea and entertain you without forcing you to buy anything. By the way, almost all the staff (except the cleaners) knows Russian, as well as English, Arabic, often German and even Italian.
Every day in the evenings there are free buses to Naoma Bay, but it is better to buy souvenirs in the Old City (one-way taxi from $6). It's a paradox, but many souvenirs in the hotel can be bought cheaper.
Excursions I have already been on all the excursions, they went only to the monastery of St. Catherine and to the mountain of Moses. The tour is VERY difficult, lasts from 22:00 to 13:00. Even if you take a camel for $17, you will have to walk for 40 minutes to the very top, and there is a very steep climb. It is insanely cold upstairs, so a winter jacket and boots, as well as a hat, gloves and warm socks, will not be superfluous. You can grab a thick blanket from the hotel so as not to rent thin, dirty blankets from chocks for crazy money. Wait for dawn at the top for 1.5-2 hours. He is handsome, but not overbearing. It’s just that the sun’s rays illuminate the surrounding rocks and you can’t see any signs of civilization from any point of view. Then the descent of 2 hours, eating dry rations, a monastery where you can put candles, order prayers and make wishes and the way back. We had krepatura for 5 days, it was painful to walk, let alone dance.

Conclusion A good affordable hotel for a not very demanding public, suitable for any contingent (youth, families (not many children), singles, the elderly were in approximately equal numbers). Most Russians/Ukrainians have seen Poles, Swedes, Arabs. Have a nice holiday everyone.
