Egypt was our first resort, and, accordingly, Grand Rotana was our first hotel. Well, what can I say ...You saw the assessment of the hotel. After Grand Rotana, I was in Turkey, and in Spain, and in Greece, but everything was no longer the same, not so.
But first things first. We went to the hotel together: me and my mother. Actually, we were going to neighboring Tiran, but there were no more places there, and we were offered Grand Rotana. For the price (based on breakfast) it turned out even cheaper than we planned.
We got a room on the first floor in building number 7. This is the most remote building from the sea, but it was a pleasure to walk around the flowering territory for an extra couple of minutes. We even deliberately tried to go the other way every time - out of female curiosity, and to admire the flowers and plants. ) In the evening, it’s generally a fabulous sight.
The hotel area is so huge. that during an evening walk it was extremely rare to meet anyone.

And this peace and quiet left an unforgettable impression on me and my mother (the work of both is connected with a very large number of clients and we were just happy due to the lack of people, especially Russians). But we went around the whole territory. And not even once.

Number. As I said, we got a room on the first floor. Ordinary standard room with garden view and terrace.
The kettle in it, by the way, helped us a lot) It was so nice to sit on this terrace in the evening, drink tea with sandwiches, admire the view and listen to the silence. Through this terrace, I constantly took shortcuts to the reception to book a bus to Naama Bay. I won’t say anything about cleaning, it is done every day, the maid boy did everything honestly and cleanly, even put a rose in a glass once, for which he received a generous tip before our departure.
Our neighbor, however, said that she had ants in her room on the second floor, and even went to complain to the reception, but we did not see any ants. And the woman's number was changed without problems.

Staff. My mother and I both speak only Russian. We know English and German only with a dictionary, well, we remember separate words, such as: pliiz, sankyu. van, tu, fries, and other plain things. Quite often I had to use the phrase, Ay dont undesteend, but only because of ignorance of the language. They understood us perfectly, although we spoke only Russian. One of the reviews wrote that during breakfast you will never wait for a person with a kettle. I don’t know, maybe we came too early (about seven in the morning), but we didn’t have any problems. We never left a tip in the restaurant, and yet every morning we were invariably greeted with a smile and impeccably polite.

Already on the third day, they remembered that we drink coffee with milk after meals, and all subsequent days, as soon as our plates were empty, they immediately approached us with a coffee pot and a milk jug. The staff was very friendly, constantly saying hello and everywhere they met with smiles, quite sincere. And after I managed to buy a Russian-Egyptian phrase book in one of the shops in Naama Bay, and I began to greet them in their native language (although probably with a terrible accent : ))) smiles became even wider. By the way, we often took juices on the beach. And every time the waiter. who brought them, I gave a tip. The amount was small, only one Egyptian pound. But then I did not find these juices in the bill. I don’t know whether I was so nice to the waiter, or no one gave him a tip, or he simply forgot to put them on our account, but, in the end, we saved quite a lot.
I confess that when I didn’t find juices in the bill at the final settlement, I preferred to hide this fact))

Animation. I saw only two animators - Ukrainian girls who did water aerobics with us, and they were by the pool. But they say that there were more of them, someone else collected water polo, but we no longer played it. After water aerobics, we went straight to the beach, and no one bothered us there, which we were only happy about. There was a disco in the evening, and instrumental music in the lobby, and an Egyptian show (they only visited it), but in the evenings we went for a walk and listened to silence. Although it is not noisy there during the day, but in the evening it was a real relaxation, after which complete nirvana came! )
By the way, I liked watching the ballet on the screen in the amphitheatre. Now I know Adana's "Giselle" firsthand)

That seems to be all I wanted to say.
You can also add that we had no problem putting fruits in a bag in a restaurant, their wonderful pastries and jars of jam. Maybe because they took them in reasonable quantities, no one ever said anything to us, although the guide warned us not to take food out of the restaurant. By the way, the food for breakfast there is varied. A lot of fruits. But most of all, I fell in love with their omelette, which every day could be eaten in different variations. In Grand Rotana, there is a wonderful hammam with eucalyptus oil. We hung out in it for hours. Here we met a family from Murmansk, who came to Egypt for a month and a half. The first two weeks they rested in Grand Rotana, and then, after the release of the room in Hyatt, they had to move there. And the woman claimed that this was the best hotel where she had a chance to relax, and she visited many countries, and everywhere she was in five-star hotels. She assured that Grand Rotana is better than Hyatt and Intercontinental.

And if she knew that this is such an amazing hotel, it would be better if she stayed here for the whole month and a half. Her son and mother also agreed. Although I don't have that much experience behind me, I tend to agree with this opinion. And if. If I ever go to Egypt again, I will only stay at Grand Rotana Resort & SPA.

By the way, in May 2007, Gamal Mubarak, the son of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, played his wedding in Grand Rotana.
