We rested at the Helnan Marina 4 * hotel during the period of 25.11. 2008-02.12. 2008.
First of all, I want to say that this hotel is one of the very first that were built in Sharm el-Sheikh. Accordingly, one of the oldest.
The old building has rather old rooms, furniture, etc. , but it was all tolerable, given that our vacation was unplanned, but on a last-minute ticket for a week. Therefore, we found the good and positive in everything. And even more so when they remembered that it was winter in Moscow. )))
The sun rises around 7:00 and at 17:00 it is already dark. In total, we stayed in the sun until 15.30, because then it set behind the mountains, and it was quite cool to be outside, especially since there was a breeze.
The evenings are not hot. They even walked in light boots, in jackets and sweaters, because it’s quite cold to sit in a cafe and smoke a hookah. In general, a pair of warm blouses, trousers (skirt) and normal shoes in case of a cold snap will not hurt.

We had a deluxe room with 2 large double beds.
This was probably the nicest thing about the room. The closet is old, the doors are falling apart. The bathroom is the same. During the week of our stay, the bed linen was changed 2 or 3 times, so I highly recommend keeping track of this moment!
There is nothing in the minibar. We filled it out ourselves!
We rested on the HB system (breakfast-dinner) and did not regret it for a second. We bought awesome mangoes, guava, strawberries and ate right on the beach during lunch. The hotel does not give fruits at all: in the morning - melon, cut into small pieces, which floats in juice with pomegranate, and at dinner - finely chopped oranges or tangerines. All in all, horror. At the same time, in other 4 * hotels, people constantly ate all kinds of fruits. In Naama Bay you can order freshly squeezed juice from any fruit! A very tasty mixture of freshly squeezed mango, strawberries, kuava and kiwi. Very nutritious, tasty and satisfying! )))
The food at the hotel is sooooo monotonous, even cucumbers and tomatoes are not fresh.
Everything is so frozen in the fridge that it's just solid ice. They, apparently, freeze at night, and by morning, you can’t even call it vegetables. We did not regret for a second that we did not go on the all-inclusive system. They didn’t have drinks, but some kind of badaga. Coffee - horror, black tea in the morning - more or less, but the rest of the drinks - some kind of diluted wine and all sorts of soda. And we, with our half board, drank delicious real coffee at the beach bar with pleasure. Let it be for money, but you know what you are drinking, and not what you paid for and for everything inclusive, and I drink what they give, but I won’t spend a dime myself, because everything has already been paid for!
People, respect yourself!! ! Well, isn't it nice to drink a delicious espresso for 10 pounds or a cappuccino for 12 than this badya from a decanter for breakfast)))

On the beach - terribly heavy sunbeds. Drag them as the sun moves - unreal! ! Just unbearable))
The staff in the restaurant is not very well-mannered: they can chat, invite you somewhere in the evening, grab your hand, passing the plate, walk past and look into your mouth. You know, I really don’t want to be nervous and tense during the holidays, but at some point it just gets to me. Never be shy or afraid to complain to the general manager at a restaurant, reception or on the beach. Respect yourself and your privacy!
I was in Egypt for the 6th time, so I know their laws well, and I also heard about all kinds of stories and about the attitude of the Egyptians towards Russians, especially women. And I want to say that Russian ladies themselves leave such an impression about themselves !! ! I've seen it myself many times! Ashamed!! ! Highly!!!
They drink, hang around, do not hesitate to express themselves with selective obscenities and go half-naked ..
And why are we then surprised when we hear all sorts of horror stories. Think dear!!
Although, to each his own! Whoever goes for what - then finds it !!
This is everyone's personal experience!!

I will also say about the hotel that there are 2 pools, the water in which is very icy! ! )) As for the construction - yes! ! It feels like it's endless!

And one more thing: the sockets in the hotel are not standard! Take with you ADAPTERS FOR SOCKETS, as neither a hair dryer nor an iron will work. Or ask at the reception. They have!
Be sure to use the safe and do not leave valuables, money and photo-video equipment on the beach. During our vacation, people stole a camera and even towels straight from the beach.

Like this!
Feel free to contact your hotel guide for any question. They have seen everyone, so they will always help!!!

Souvenirs are 3-4 times cheaper in the Old City "Old Market", but this must be endured, because the sellers there are terribly intrusive and arrogant! Trade to the last! They double the price!
A taxi from Naama Bay to Old Town can cost £.10 or £.15 max. NO MORE! Back - the same!
The choice is yours!!!

I highly recommend visiting the restaurant and cafe in the nearby LIDO hotel: sooo civilized, beautiful, tasty and friendly!! ! The freshest seafood, delicious local wine, cozy atmosphere, you can ask for a warm blanket, and there are also gas burners that warm very well on a cool evening. And at night they illuminate the sea, and beautiful fish swim in this light.

Some of our friends rested in the new building of the hotel, which was literally recently built. Were very satisfied!! ! They said the price was $120 different. But everything needs to be fixed!

In any case, I would not go to this hotel again!

I wish you a pleasant, harmonious and blissful holiday!
May all events be joyful, cheerful and only positive! ))))
