Hello! We rested in Sharm at the Hilton Waterfalls Resort 5 * from 17.02-26.02. 2010. Rested with a group of seven people. I liked it very much. Before the rest, we carefully selected the hotel, reviewed all the reviews and chose the Hilton Waterfalls 5 *. When choosing, reviews helped a lot, and therefore, no matter how lazy, I decided to write my own too.
I can say that we were not mistaken with the hotel. This hotel is worth the money - the top five of the average level.
Settlement. We arrived at 8 am. We left vouchers on the recipe and tried to ask for check-in earlier than 12.00 (as is customary in hotels). In vain we did it. The cunning Arab at the reception offered us a room for an additional 50 bucks. Stacked for 30 bucks, put us in a stupid room with a view of the bush. As I said, we were 7 people and we needed 3 rooms. We all temporarily settled in this room. An hour later, a hotel employee came running and said that we need to vacate this room, as it is transit. By 10 already.
30 of us were settled in three rooms in one building, our desires for double beds were fulfilled. Conclusion - there is no need to fuss, they settle and so quickly. True, friends had paid for a ticket and a room for three - they had to fight to get a third bed and accessories.
The rooms are very comfortable and spacious. Yes, the furniture is not new, but very nice and comfortable. Only on the balconies is really, as many write, the furniture is very old. The room has a bed, two armchairs and a table, two bedside tables, a large mirror and another table, a large closet, a CRT TV, an electronic safe, a hairdryer in the bathroom, and detergents. Very good linens and accessories. Cleaning of the room every day, change of linen and towels too. Pick up around 11:00. However, I do not advise you to walk barefoot - your feet will be black. Swans and figures are molded every day, regardless of the dollar left.
We got a building with numbers starting with 40 - we really liked the location. Those who paid extra for a sea view later realized that it was not worth it - highly understood for breakfast, dinner and lunch in the main restaurant (although close to the beach). All rooms are identical in terms of decor.
The location of the hotel is excellent. The hotel has a cascading area that forms several levels. That's very beautiful. The elevated relief of the upper part of the hotel hides the beach area from the winds, forming a windless bay. The territory is completely covered with a smooth beautiful lawn, many lush palm trees of various types and shapes. There are few flowers, but they are found. The landscape designer did a good job, each bush is in its place and well-groomed. There are many wooden bridges on the territory. The main attraction of the hotel's landscape is a waterfall (or river) falling from the upper level to the middle one. Too bad the elevator doesn't work.
It really only spoils the view. But for the lazy (or tired after swimming), buses regularly “run”, but in general it’s also useful to walk up the stairs, by the end of the rest, the calf muscles become noticeable.
Although it was February, we were lucky with the weather, we swam every day, the sea temperature was about 25 degrees.
There are 8 swimming pools on the territory, 2 of them are heated (one of them with a jacuzzi), 2 with sea water. In unheated pools, the water is warm, you can swim during the day. Warm pools are good after 16.00.
The food is not even bad for Egypt, varied. They fed pancakes, toast, waffles for breakfast, fried eggs to order, there was an omelette, boiled eggs, fried meat, sausages, there were plates with cheeses, sausages. In general, I was surprised that the quality of meat products and cheeses is decent - without soy, tasty. It's no secret that usually, both in Turkey and in Egypt, sausages and sausages with a low content of meat.
The food is of course peculiar, but it seemed to me that they tried to Europeanize it as much as possible. Several times we got to Italian dinners, it was especially delicious! In general, Italian cuisine prevails, as there are many Italians in the hotel.
Alcohol is normal, it is better to drink in cocktails and their juices, wine from packages is delicious (not sour as in Turkey).
One time you can visit the ala car restaurants (Italian and Lebanese) for free. Very tasty food in Italian! I advise you to dress up and going to this restaurant will be a small holiday. I liked Lebanese less - the atmosphere is simpler, the food is unusual. Local drinks in these restaurants are included. We made a trip to an Italian restaurant for the birthday of our girlfriend. We informed about this in advance at the reception. At the end of the dinner, all the restaurant staff, led by the chef, brought out a small cake with one candle to the singing of “happy birthday”.
