We rested abroad for the first time, choosing between The Grand Hotel and Hilton. The travel agent inclined to the latter, arguing with the best food, although in fact we were somewhat disappointed: the clearest phrase to describe, often found here in reviews, is “you won’t stay hungry”, to the point, there’s not much variety, potatoes, pasta, scrambled eggs from the usual dishes, many dishes were with spices, spicy, at exactly 14.45 the trays with food were removed, and the next meal was already at 19, no snack.

For food + in the fact that there is a restaurant on the shore where, for a change, you can eat ordinary french fries, burgers and a hot dog for lunch, and in the evening there is a pleasant atmosphere, in the fresh air. In the main restaurant, they bring 1 glass of wine or something else alcoholic, but if you want, you can go and get another drink yourself in the main bar.

In general, sweets were all delicious, grapes, melon, pear came across from fruits, it’s a pity that there was no mango (

When settling, we were lucky with the administrator at the reception and got a room with a sea view. The room itself inside, of course, is not the same as in the photo, decently tired, there were no slippers in the room, but we decided not to ask already, we were pleased with the presence of an ironing board and an iron. What the cleaners did every day is not entirely clear, from the obvious things - they added toiletries, paper, drinking water, made the bed and hung towels neatly. On the card in the bathroom, almost at the end of the holiday, they deducted that the towels are changed only if they are left on the floor, and the change of the bed only once every 3 days, in general, they left 1 dollar and this card on the bed was changed on the 5th day.

The biggest advantage of the hotel, in our opinion, is sooooo beautiful and large territory!
For the entire time of our stay, both funiculars worked properly, although even walking was a pleasure.

Regarding animation, we are not the most active revelers and party-goers, but in the evening we wanted at least some kind of entertainment ...However, for all the time there was only 1 interesting evening with a show program of swallowing fire, walking on glass. They offer to go to the club every evening for $ 15, but it would be better if something interesting was organized on the territory of the hotel, for animation you can put 3 on a 10-point scale ...

Reef .....in general there is something to see, but very little, some of the corals are already dead, a few shoals of fish came across. For comparison, we went on an excursion All in 1m to the city of Dahab (about an hour drive from Sharm), where the entry from the coast, and the coral reef is many times steeper and more diverse, in some places even better than near about. Tiran where we also went on an excursion from the hotel diving center.

Summing up, for the first time in general, the rest was a success, despite the above points, because every morning we saw the blue sky, the sun, the sea from the window! And after talking with other tourists, you can outline for yourself the next likely stopping points in Egypt.
