First things first, I'll try to highlight the key points:
1. FLOUR OF CHOICE. Vacationing with my wife. Visited Egypt for the first time. The hotel was chosen "long and tedious", "smoked" a bunch of forums, several times interrogated friends and acquaintances who had previously visited Sharm. To be honest, Hilton turned up by accident - thanks to http://bontravel. com. ua/ - because we were looking the other way on our own.
2. COLLECTION. So, money has been paid to the cashier, tickets, vouchers, useful tips and other waste paper have been printed out, seats at the porthole have been booked, things have been collected - we will fly out on 10/23/11 at 05:40.
Thecarwaslefthere- http://mc-keeper.com/. Conveniently. A taxi (UAH 40) arrived at the parking lot in 15 minutes. Upon arrival, a taxi (UAH 40) was delivered to terminal F for about half an hour.

3. SETTLEMENT. Airport, visa-stamps-Arabs devouring the eyes of Slavs-guide Vitaliy-transfer-reception. We arrived at the hotel around 12:00. Just in case, we went to look at the Room with a Sea View for a Separate Fee, as a result settled in the standard 4205. We waited an hour and a half for the settlement, however, Akhmet at the reception had to periodically remind himself.
4. NUMBER. The number is like a number. We are a people without VEP claims. Everything you need is in place, what you don’t have (personal hygiene items) - you brought with you. Cleaned every day, replenished stocks of tea-coffee-sugar-water-strategic paper. A couple of times left the cleaner a dollar.
5. TERRITORY OF THE HOTEL. To the sea and generally tried to walk, so as not to swim in fat. We rode an electric car a couple of times - the Egyptians are still drivers - very famously and unjustifiably reckless. Green, mostly well maintained and clean. But, this terrible smell for my nose (for example, my wife did not express any displeasure about this) the smell of stagnant and sun-burned water (if I correctly identified it), which was watered around the neighborhood - it is everywhere in Egypt, where there are islands of greenery.
6. INSECTS. The mosquitoes are very small - the fumigator saved, but they tried not to open the window unnecessarily in the evening. Every evening (around 17:00) these living creatures were poisoned, but the presence of freshwater reservoirs and waterfalls on the territory of the hotel allows the flying bloodsuckers to calmly compensate for the losses. The same mosquitoes ruined my outdoor dining experience. Flies got out a couple of times in the restaurant and at the pool, there were no insects on the beach - it was blown away by the wind.
7. FOOD. Subjectively, in Turkey we were fed better. Objectively, the choice is monotonous, but you are unlikely to die of hunger. Grilled tuna was very tasty. Beer and alcohol - "pisi orphan Sonya. " But some representatives of the human race managed to get drunk on zyuzyu before dinner.
The menu in the main restaurant every day was dedicated to some country, main dish or event (Italian, "fish day", etc. ) - no variety.
The hotel has several "a la carte" restaurants, but the menu there is not much different from the "catering".

8. GUIDES. Their existence, apparently, was limited to the sale of additional tours, at least in our presence there were no force majeure situations. We bought two from them - I think this added respect and respect to ourselves)))
9. SEA. Wow!! ! "Odyssey of the Cousteau team" in reality. My wife was afraid to snorkel, so I had to spend money on a bathyscaphe. Where is he before the mask and scuba gear !! ! It only makes sense if you want to show the underwater world to very young children. Not worth your money.
The beach and pontoon even in good weather were "officially" open from 9:00 to 17:00 (sunset). "Unofficially", some especially suffering people bathed already with the first rays of the sun with the full connivance of the staff - what if someone drowned? At nine, they also started handing out towels. Accordingly, if there was a desire to swim before 9:00, then towels had to be taken from the room or not taken in the evening.
10. ANIMATION. Was not noticed. Partly because we, tired of busy working days, simply passed out after dinner. Wait until 21-22 hours was simply unbearable. It's better to sleep than not to sleep
On the last Sunday of October was Halloween - everyone went painted in the morning, cafes and restaurants were accordingly removed. Pretty cute.
11. STAFF. Mostly smiling and polite. Personally, I was bogged down by the constant call "friend. " What kind of friend am I? A couple of times, I tried to explain that in such cases it is better to address Russian-speaking people impersonally - "Hello, how are you? ", And not "Hello, how are you, friend? " - but, apparently, to no avail.
The hotel was very strictly guarded. There is a metal detector at the main entrance, on both sides of the beach there are a couple of yawning Egyptians in police uniforms.
Nobody stole anything from us. All valuables were in a safe in the room. On the beach, the camera and phone were put in a bag / bag or covered with things rather from the sun than from potential thieves.
There was no shortage of towels/mattresses/beds.

Once we witnessed a verbal skirmish between a middle-aged aunt and a beach attendant, who tried to collect and carry away towels and some other things from two "booked" sunbeds, the owners of which were apparently in a restaurant. Regarding the "booking" near the beach, there is an unambiguous warning. Personally, I consider such actions on the part of vacationers to be redneck and disrespectful to others.
12. OUTSIDE THE HOTEL. Not far from the hotel is a fairly large non-food market with all sorts of knick-knacks, etc. - you can stock up on souvenirs for ridiculous money - bargain and you will be happy.
We went to Israel for 1 day. The border left a very unpleasant impression. Against the backdrop of sleepy and phlegmatic Egyptians, the inhabitants of the Judean Valley looked nervous, somewhat frightened and angry: submachine gunners, a long, barely moving queue: 20 minutes - Egyptian checkpoint / customs, 3 hours - Jewish. Back was faster, but not much.
Cosmetics (salt, mud, etc. ) on the Dead Sea can be bought 5 times cheaper than in a store, if you wander along the beach - we met a friendly uncle of Arab nationality with a box of this stuff.
In Jerusalem itself and its environs, it was possible to buy souvenirs on the side only during the afternoon gathering - the guide kept a fairly high pace and we flew through all the bazaars like a bullet. The difference in price between "kosher" shops (where all tourists are taken without fail) and shops in the same shopping center where we dined - up to 5 times. The difference in quality was not noticed - everywhere souvenir consumer goods.
13. CONTACT WITH THE OUTSIDE WORLD. Internet is paid - about a dollar for 15 minutes. Roaming is also godlessly expensive, even when compared with the same Israel - it's twice cheaper there. Wi-fi in the hotel lobby was promised to be free in 2012.
There are hundreds of TV channels. 10 Russian/Ukrainian-speaking. There is nothing special to watch - these channels are not popular at home either. Another dozen and a half musical. Samsung hotel type TV - access to settings is blocked. For those who are interested, you can google in this direction before the trip - I personally could not enter the service menu.
14. GENERAL IMPRESSIONS. Rested both body and soul. "Spa, sra and zhra")))) Disadvantages were not specifically sought out. Those who are present can be put up with.

Will we go to the Hilton again? I think yes.
All PLEASANT in every sense of the word REST!! !
