Good day to all! We rested in the Hilton from January 10 to January 17.2013, together with my husband.
Because the hotel is quite popular, there are enough reviews, I will limit myself to posting photos, practical recommendations and a few personal impressions. If you have questions, write, I will try to answer everyone.
So, in order.
Arrival - TAKE HANDS! Fill out an immigration card (when you fly back you will need to fill out a NEW one! ), write SINAI ONLY, and forward to passport control. If you do not plan any long-distance excursions, you DO NOT need to buy a visa. It took us 15 minutes to do everything.
If you suddenly decide later to go on excursions, say, to Cairo, to the pyramids, to Taba, you can go to the airport and buy a visa. How to do this, ask your guide, or write to me, I will share my experience. But it is better, of course, to decide right away, this will save your money, time and nerves.

Settlement - here who will agree on how, and who wants what from the room. We initially paid for the standard, after negotiations and inspection of 3 rooms that we did not like, we settled in suite 2405, paid extra according to the hotel price list.
USEFUL information on accommodation - there is construction going on to the right of the hotel, it is better not to settle there, almost all standards without a sea view are located away from the central part of the hotel across the road along which hotel carts and cars drive, delivering linen, water, etc. . The road is all mounds, the sidewalk is closed for repairs, it smells of sewerage (manholes are located there), then the pipe from the canteen smokes.
The hotel itself is undergoing permanent renovation in some places, but this does not cause any inconvenience.
Cleaned normally, we did not leave a tip. True, for the first two days no one lived next door to us, and they didn’t clean our place, despite the fact that I posted a sign with a request to clean it up.
There were no slippers upon arrival, they brought them on a call in 10-15 minutes (instantly by Egyptian standards))).
FOOD - everything is purely individual. We didn't like it. Of course, focusing on the price tag of the hotel, you don’t have to wait for frills, but the hand doesn’t rise to the “five”, and given the disgusting food in the Italian a la carte restaurant, moreover, from the range of paid dishes, the rating is lowered to 3 points.
ADVICE - do not interfere with a lot of food, do not drink all this “splendor” with beer, and your stomach will be grateful to you, otherwise, you will spend at least one day of your vacation near the toilet and in bed with a temperature (bitter experience of my husband).
Tablets for diarrhea, chloramphenicol, activated charcoal, enterosgel - DO NOT FORGET to put in your first aid kit.
ICE CREAM - you can get it not only at the bar on the beach, but also at the LATINOS bar, next to the main restaurant, few people know about it! )) Ice cream is DELICIOUS!
Also delicious, not UPI, juices in the main restaurant, we especially liked the guava juice.

The territory is beautiful, even picturesque, moderately green, well-groomed, gardeners work. Everything is nearby, compactly located, there are two funiculars, the first days they could not adapt and were nervous when they had to wait. Then they figured out that it was not in vain that they paid extra for the room, that the main restaurant and the sea were the same distance from the room, and they walked with pleasure, and if they saw that the elevator was not far away, they drove up on it.
The staff is friendly, friendly, everyone speaks a little Russian. I did not notice any difference in attitude towards foreigners and Russian speakers.
The contingent of vacationers - 50 percent - Russian-speaking, the rest - the British, Germans, there were a couple of families of Hindus, Egyptians. Russians are mostly with children, Englishmen, Germans are elderly couples. Several gay couples were also spotted.
Pools - 7.2 of them are heated, there was almost no one near one, I think because there were no bars nearby, the other was near the SPA - the water smells strongly of bleach and, sorry, urine. There were only Russian families with children.
We took a liking to the relax pool.
Weather - windy all week, only on the last day of departure, we swam in the sea. Water, fish - everything is wonderful. The only thing, while swimming, I felt a strong burning sensation - first on my leg, then my neck and arm, upon arrival home, a rash appeared in these places and it itches. I must have been bitten by someone or something in the water. It’s good that you are already at home, otherwise the rest would have been ruined.
In general, the rest is SATISFIED.
The only thing was stress during the flight. At first, our tourists quarreled about something with the Egyptian who was checking in for the flight. The verbal skirmish turned into a loud swearing, which ended with the Egyptian throwing documents right in the face of a woman with a child, the woman screamed, the child began to cry, the husband rushed with his fists, a brawl ensued... HORROR! ! I thought they were going to call the police, but no. Perhaps because our tourists began to shoot all this disgrace on video, and this cooled the ardor of the Egyptians.
Then, it suddenly turned out that there were no tourists from Pegasus and partly from Korel in the lists of those departing! I had to languish and worry for another 40 minutes, as a result of which we flew out late.

In general, I would like to warn tourists, especially those who travel to Egypt for the first time.
Remember, the Egyptians are ALIEN to us, by nature they are very vicious and aggressive, this ALWAYS SHOULD BE REMEMBERED, especially outside the hotel.
Once I asked our hotel guide if she ordered lunch boxes for us on a tour.
Yes, he says, go to the reception, SMILE BIG, and they will give you back.
What if, I ask, I don't smile broadly? Well, they will also give it back, he answers, but there may be nuances, Egypt, you know, a country of likes and dislikes. So, God forbid, become the object of their antipathy.
The only person I smiled BIG was our female flight attendants who met us on board the plane.
Goodbye Egypt, I'm flying HOME! )))
