I rarely leave reviews, but I won’t be lazy and write here, because I feel sorry for people who ruin their vacation, which costs a lot. From Hyatt, only the name is here! Worst stay ever in Egypt (were already 5 times). Worse hotel yet to be found. Lies and deceit! I can say with confidence that this is not a 5-star hotel, but a 3-star one! The food system here is not Premium All Inclusive, but a banal Full Board.
We were brought to the hotel around 9 am. A beautiful view from the hall of the sea and the entire territory of the hotel immediately opened up, so the first impressions: the hotel is class! This is where our positive impressions ended.
We waited tired and hungry after a night transfer and a delayed night flight to check in at an almost empty hotel for 4 hours.
When asked to settle us faster, they repeatedly told us to go for a walk somewhere, and also noted that we were by no means allowed to have breakfast and were given food coupons already from lunch (such as “Premium All Inclusive”), moreover, there are a limited number of them, and they were warned that it was impossible to get them (2 Thai restaurants Sala Thai, 2 Cascade restaurants, 4 Beach House, everything else is the main Fresco restaurant). Think food stamps! That is, if you lost it or want to go back for something to eat, then sorry, it won’t work! One ticket, one entry. At the entrance, they strictly check whether you gave the coupon, sometimes they even write down the room number, but they won’t let you in without a coupon. The feeling of humiliation, as if you were in a state sanatorium for free, and not in a 5-star hotel of this level.
They settled us tired in the room for four hours, leading the rooms on foot and demanding money for the best room. In the voucher our number was - sea view.
When you check in, they put another $5 in your passport, they immediately offer the best room for $50, if you refuse, they take you specially to the last last room with a view of the construction (something else is being built on the side of the hotel), where much is far from being in perfect condition. We refused the surcharge already in principle and they gave us such a room with a sea view (all rooms partially have a sea view). It had an extra bed, like in a Soviet hospital, we asked to pick it up, the door to the bathroom did not close there, the bedside tables did not move, everything was old and shabby. The next day in the morning the faucet fell off in the bathroom, everything was in the water, dirty. They informed the reception, waited a long time for a decision, finally the master came, only after the wife burst into tears in the hall, could not stand such an attitude and ignorance.
We were again moved to the last room on the first line to the sea, as compensation, and they immediately gave us to sign some kind of document that we were satisfied with everything during our stay at the hotel and would not have any complaints. The safe did not work in this room and water from the toilet was constantly flowing, it interfered with sleep ...The master was called twice.
Now about food - it's tin, there's stupidly nothing to eat, there is no choice at all, everything is the same every day. There is not even a hint about seafood, fish, a choice of fruits and goodies. The fish is only the same frozen, in small pieces in batter or stew. What was not milked at lunch was put out or remade for dinner. Of the fruits, green peaches, bananas and melons once gave an apple. They tried wine - like ink, but they lie to the eyes that it is Italian. Coffee is some kind of muddy water, probably the cheapest Ukrainian coffee will be better than what is served at Hyatt and is called Lavazza.
And by the way, at lunch and dinner you can’t make your own coffee in a coffee machine, the waiter brings some kind of brew that he makes himself. And tea: green or black from a bag, and that’s all) We haven’t seen anything like this in Egypt! No snacking only three meals a day. One good thing is that there was a nice Italian who cooked delicious pasta, for which many thanks to her, but you won’t eat only pasta for 10 days either.
Fresco restaurant - on the outdoor terrace, all the tables and chairs are covered with birds, crows, sparrows eat the food of vacationers in bulk on the tables, while they are gone, no one drives them away, they don’t clean up after them, it just dries up there (on the railings, chairs, tables etc). The service is 2 points, no one is in a hurry to remove the plates, or bring you anything. The waiters walk like pheasants, if you don’t gild your pen, then you are transparent to them.
Beach House: they give you a menu from which you can choose either salad or soup, and the main dish is a burger or one fried fish with fries, that's all.
