We were in Egypt for the first time. We read a lot of negative reviews on the Internet, so we were at a loss where we were going. I liked the hotel right away: smiling staff, good service, excellent service in the restaurant and bar (after a couple of days, the waiters knew that we usually order tomato juice for lunch and dinner, and brought it ourselves, without reminders). The airport "behind the fence" is actually 3 km away. Planes can be heard only in the first half of the day and from 3 to 6 in the evening (probably the most active time of arrival and departure).
The hotel is both very calm and very friendly. During the day, animation on the beach (competitions, belly dancing lessons), after lunch by the pool (darts, handball), the evening program usually took place with the involvement of various dance groups in the lobby bar, karaoke, dancing, lotteries. There was a disco in Iceland, but we didn't go there. The guests of the hotel are mostly English, Germans, Russians and Ukrainians (as in a joke). There were few Italians, Belgians.
The staff is not pushy. Tipping does not ask. But if you give, they remember and try even better. They spoke to the cleaner in the language of drawing. In the morning they depicted on paper the desired miracle of towels on the bed and left about 1 dollar (in pounds). The order was carried out using fresh flowers from the surrounding flower beds. A trifle - but nice.

It is better to buy souvenirs in the Old Town. There is a large market and the price can be reduced by three or four. There are several shops on the territory of the hotel, but they have expensive rent there, so they are poorly traded. There is also the Naame Bay area. Very expensive and mafia (even according to locals). The Arabs cling to their hands, and if you don’t send it on time, they will lead you and will not let you out without a purchase. At first we were lost, but then we learned how to send them off.
The sea and the beach are truly fabulous. The beach has three levels. You can lie down near the water (if the wind is from the sea, it will blow slightly), you can go higher. Drinks, food and scuba equipment rental at the lower beach. The only word "no" for the entire holiday we heard on the beach, when we decided to feed the fish with a half-eaten hamburger. And then, we were just correctly told: "Don't do this, please. " Fish can be seen and photographed directly from the pontoon, but if you dive - then how do you get into the aquarium. You can buy an underwater camera for $15 (two for $25). Hire a snorkel at the beach for $5 per day. In stores, such a set to buy costs about 20-25 dollars.
If you take a taxi, you need to agree on the price right away, otherwise they will break it down upon arrival.
We returned from Egypt a week ago, but have already begun to save money for the next trip. The best time is spring and autumn (very hot in summer and cool in winter). In general, all in Egypt!
