Hello. My name is Anna. (This was my first trip to the resort). I want to tell you about the rest in the Sol Sharm hotels, maybe this will help someone when choosing a hotel.
I went on vacation with my husband from 06.05. to 13.05. 2010 We took all inclusive. I'll start from the very beginning. The trip was booked through the Navigator travel agency, but we traveled with the tour operator Pegasus. I want to say right away that excursions through Pegasus are more expensive than, for example, Tartus Tours (for example, a trip to Jerusalem through Pegasus costs $220 per person, while Tartus Tour costs $170, the difference is noticeable). We arrived in Egypt around 19.00 - 19.30. We arrived at the hotels around 20:30. Leaving the bus, a young man immediately ran up to us, snatching our bags from our hands, he wanted to take us to the hotel. Of course, we were not ready for this right away, so we held the bags as tightly as we could, explaining to him that we ourselves would reach the hotel. Approaching the reception, we were asked for our passports, since at that time our guide was not there, and we were somehow not actually registered at the hotel. Dali was keyed from the room, and accompanied by a young man. The room immediately turned out to be good, we didn’t expect this ourselves (we just read before that they give bad rooms first, and then after paying a certain amount of money, they give better ones), the room is large enough, the bed is large, a large closet, refrigerator, TV, bar , a good view from the window, the bathroom is clean and spacious, although we were not provided with a safe right away (in the morning we turned to our guide Anna - and they did everything right away). The young man was given a tip of five pounds (five pounds = 1 USD), but he asked us not pounds, but dollars, well, we naively gave him 1 dollar, in the hope that he would return the pounds to us, but taking the whole amount of money young the man wished us a good rest. So my advice is, of course, it is necessary to give tea, but modestly. The variety of food in the dining room is certainly interesting, but only for the first three days, then everything repeats. I love seafood very much, and of course I hoped that there would be some choice, but all that was seafood was just fish in lemon sauce, and the fish was very fatty, once there were osmenogi, tasty but very small, and there were crabs - very not delicious. But there is a lot of meat, in any form: fried, grilled, steamed... You can eat throughout the day, because. breakfast starts at 7.00 and until 10.00, lunch from 13.00 to 15.00, dinner from 19.00 to 22.00. In between food near the pool, on the sea in the bar. I want to say separately for the beer, in fact it is not so bad as many people write. My husband and I are from Ukraine, from the Odessa region, so we have much worse beer. So try it boldly, though they pour it into small glasses, you had to run.
The beach was for two hotels, but still there was enough space for everyone. My advice is to come in the morning and leave a towel, a cap or some other things on the sun lounger, of course, except for bags with money, and this sun lounger will be yours for the whole day, we calmly left our things and went to lunch, and did not worry. I want to note that the show that was on our beach was interesting only on the first day, there are not many fish, there are no corals. We went to the pontoon of the neighboring hotel, walk for about ten minutes, and then if slowly. Here you can simply be stunned by the show, beauty, colorful corals, a fisherman sea, and lionfish, and moray eels.

There are shops at the hotels, the prices there are of course expensive, and if you start haggling, they practically don’t discount anything.
We were in the Old Market - this is a market, I advise everyone, immediately discount by 50%, then you can still by 10%, in general you can buy hookahs, bags, things, leather, watches, whatever you want 60 percent cheaper. Lots of fruits, very tasty. Fruits are not expensive, for example 1 kg. melons = 1 dollar, but the fruits are very tasty. Yes, you can carry 25 kg with you through customs. fruits no problem. There is really only one thing, but you need to go to this market when you are already tanned, and not when your skin is red, but when you darken, because if you come white, no one will bargain with you.
Catch a taxi yourself, because a taxi through the hotel will cost you forty euros, and if you take it yourself, then a maximum of $ 10 one way. Also, when you eat from the market, bargain with a taxi driver, because. the initial price is $ 20, I advise you to catch not private traders, but blue-white taxi cars, it will be better. We were traveling in four to the Old Market: two guys and two girls, caught a taxi and drove without problems for $ 10. A private driver approached us back, offered to take us for $ 15, we bargained for $ 10, but how he drove, this just kapets, he was driving at a speed of about 160 km / h, let go of his hands, turned around, sang his songs, no, he did not sing, he just yelled until he was stopped by a patrol, then he could not find our hotel, in general, when we arrived he was still wanted more money, we of course did not give.
Separately, I want to tell you about the hotel staff: the staff is attentive and even very, the only caveat was when the TV stopped working in our room, we contacted the reception about ten times in three days, but the TV was never fixed, every time they spoke after ten minutes. In the room, four bottles of water should be put in the bar - two free, and two paid, there was no water. On the beach, you will be approached to offer a massage (the first five minutes are free), sailing, a trip on a yacht. Near the hotel pool, they carry out exercises, aqua aerobics, I advise you to be very fun and interesting. The staff are friendly and always ask how you are doing and if everything is ok.

The hotel is really very beautiful, a lot of greenery, the rooms are clean, cleaned every day. Every day we set aside one dollar on the pillow, they cleaned us well, and made various cool things from towels, then flowers, then swans.
Well, that seems to be all. The main thing, of course, is your mood for rest. If you eat with the idea of having a good time, then everything will work out for you, and you will not see, or remember, some small nuances, yes, Egypt is certainly not chic, but there is still something to do, and scuba diving, and a trip to the pyramids, yes, anything, the main thing is a good mood.
Have a good rest everyone. (Photo attached)
