So, I rested with my husband at the end of December last year and ended up in the period between Catholic Christmas and the new year. IMMEDIATELY I WANT TO PAY ATTENTION TO THE THAT PEOPLE WITH OVERSELF-ESTIMATION ARE NOT RECOMMENDED TO GO TO THIS HOTEL BECAUSE OF THE EXCLUSIVE PRIORITY OF ITALIAN TOURISTS OVER ALL OTHER.
If everything is normal with your self-esteem, you are not characterized by nationalism and you want to get to know the Italian and Egyptian culture better, and are also loyal to the traditions and customs of other people, then you can read on.
1. ROOM and ACCOMMODATION.

We were settled in building 13 (1317) on the first floor. Room with a veranda overlooking the hotel courtyard. Indeed, outside the walls of the hotel from the side of buildings 11.13, 15... there is construction going on, but the noise from it is almost as much as from taking off and landing planes (the airport is 10 minutes away, which, with the notoriety of Egyptian roads and drivers, is quite weighty plus). Do not also forget that the tourism industry in Egypt is just beginning to gain momentum, and it is quite natural that the infrastructure is constantly replenished with new buildings. Therefore, in order to avoid some negative points, ask the reception ($ 20 will not interfere) for a room whose windows overlook the inside. What about sea view rooms? It is better to order a similar category of rooms when buying a tour and make sure that this category is indicated in your voucher / contract. Otherwise, there is no chance that you will get a room with a sea view. By the way, I must say that during my vacation, the rooms with sea views were practically not inhabited ((((. I also do not recommend taking buildings close to the terrace and pools - the noise is almost all day long: animation, aqua aerobics, children, splashing Italians...
Therefore, for those who want silence, whose children should sleep at lunchtime, take remote buildings overlooking the courtyard. The territory of the hotel is not big - you won't have to walk to the restaurant for a long time.
Now about the decor of the room: Family room with a large bed and 2 sofas, 2 armchairs and thick curtains that ensure darkness at any time - a great room! . Cleaning daily, change of towels daily (leave a few pounds for the cleaner and you will be pleasantly surprised by swans from towels). Hot water was also no problem.
Mini bar. You can, of course, refuse the minibar at the reception, but not the fact that it will be cleaned. We had it full until the very departure, but there was enough space for our water and cognac, there were no problems with a shortage when leaving.
Use the safe and store all valuables in it.
TV - only 1 Russian channel, so take a mini DVD or laptop with you, stock up on CDs with Russian music (mp3 and CD format).
There is air conditioning - works on heat and cold.
2. TERRITORY. Well-groomed, green, all in flowers and tropical plants. Very nice and neat. All day long, workers fuss and swarm around flowerbeds and palm trees. The territory is not large, a walk around the perimeter of the hotel takes about 15 minutes. Insects and other living creatures were not observed.

3. INFRASTRUCTURE. The hotel consists of the main building, where the reception, lobby bar, disco, 2 restaurants, terraces are located. In the basement of the building there are 2 saunas (Turkish and Finnish) and a jacuzzi, a massage parlor. Saunas are heated to such a temperature that foreigners do not die))). Feel free to increase the temperature of the saunas on the control panel, wait 20 minutes and go! Saunas are open from 9.00-20.00 daily. Then there are 3 pools: 2 for adults (one heated) and 1 for children (heated), along the perimeter there are cozy 2-storey buildings in oriental style, some have attics. Beach with umbrellas and 2 sun loungers for each umbrella and a beach bar. (open from morning to 17.00), pool bar from 10 to 19.00, lobby from lunch to midnight, restaurant - 4 times a day: breakfast from 7.00-10.00, lunch from 12.30-15.30, dinner from 19.00-22.30. 4. EATING AND DRINKING. You will have to eat in the restaurant on the 1st floor (entrance to it from the side of the pool). It is better to come to the beginning of the allotted time. And do not be lazy to open the lids and look at the contents. The food, to tell the truth, was not bad: a lot of vegetables, fruits, meat, sweets. Egyptians don't know how to cook beef, so don't ruin your teeth and lean on chicken and vegetables. There was also Italian cuisine in the form of spaghetti and pasta - also very tasty. I can’t say anything about national food - I didn’t eat it. There was also ice cream and sweets for every taste: from creamy desserts to pastries. There are also a lot of fruits - so you won’t die of hunger: you didn’t come here to eat, by God))). On the 2nd floor there is a fish restaurant. Here I agree with the others who left their opinion - there is no restaurant. So don't waste your time and don't go there even for free.
The beach and pool bars serve local drinks and light snacks. As for drinking. The complimentary selection is: beer, rosé wine, red wine, white wine, whiskey, vodka and soft drinks such as yuppies and cola. For money - the whole range of duty free. Remember - everything that is on tap is free, everything that is in jars is for money.
A few words about free drinking.
I don't know much about beer, so I can't say anything.
Wine - the entire line - a weak bouquet. Very amateurish, but there is nothing special to taste. Red is reminiscent of port wine, pink is dessert, and white is sour.
Whiskey. The range is available in red and black. Of the two, black is worth trying. Both of them taste like oils. .
Vodka. Taste and smell even when cold. Only mix with their yuppies.
Yuppies: hibiscus, pineapple, orange.
There is also cola, fanta, sprite, mirinda . .

So, if you are gourmets - take with you everything that you want to drink.
Now about DRINKING WATER. She is in the restaurant, and you need to buy it in the room / or take it with you / and only brush your teeth and rinse your mouth with it. For a 1.5 liter bottle of b / g mineral water, you will be charged from 3 to 5 dollars. For a week, 3 bottles were enough for 2 people.
It is also not recommended to take food out of the restaurant - it is not accepted there. You can take a couple of apples or an orange . . Do not disgrace yourself - do not drag sausage and meat with you. Once again I want to note that you will not die of hunger, and in between meals in the restaurant - you will be served an aperitif in the pool bar.
Lobby bar. Opens at lunchtime and runs until midnight. Nice atmosphere, cozy sofas, the smell of coffee… nice and calm. Here they also pour the entire range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic products, brew coffee, and you can smoke.
Disco. Opens at midnight. All alcoholic drinks are paid, the music is modern, the dance floor is small. Mostly animators light up (they are also paid for it).

5. ENTERTAINMENT IN THE HOTEL. First, get ready for the fact that all the animation is in Italian, since 80% of vacationers are Italians, and judging by the reviews of later vacationers, Russian animation never appeared there. The team consists of a dozen people and 1 singer. Pevun, who is also a sound engineer, who is also a DJ, sings in English and Italian. The voice is good, the songs are popular hits of the 70-90s. Every evening he sings in the lobby, he has a guitar - expensive - he doesn’t give it to anyone (he’s afraid), but he also plays an instrumental. All performances in the amphitheater are also in Italian. Animators all day snooping between vacationers and annoying with their questions and suggestions. On the one hand, I was annoyed that the Russians were so openly ignored, and on the other hand, I would probably freak out just because they approached me 10 times in 1 hour and offered something there. All day long competitions, performances, aerobics, etc. by the pool, you can play volleyball and football on the beach. So you have two choices: either entertain yourself, or, armed with a dictionary, join the Italian culture.
We walked along the coast in both directions, photographed a wild beach, other hotels, went to the city (taxi is no more than 10-12 dollars one way - so bargain! ).
6. MONEY. Bring dollars and change the rate of 1 to 5.2 for local pounds at the Baron Hotel - it's nearby (5-7 minutes on foot)
7. COMMUNICATION. Local mobile card with recharge - 20 bucks. You can use roaming. They often don't have internet or telephone because of the submarine cable.
8. BEACH. Sandy, with a pontoon of 70 meters. There are no corals, but an excellent entrance to the sea for children. There are fish. You can feed them sitting on the pontoon. But so that the guard did not see))). This hotel is not suitable for those who want to look at the corals, and who just want to swim and snorkel off the coast - a great place. Take your mask, fins and wetsuit with you. Here, rent it from just $10 for half a day. Mask + fins (plastic) in the store - $ 30. You can dive and sing on the nearby beach (Baron).
Towels are issued by the pool once a day in exchange for a card that you should be given at the reception. One for each person in the room. Keep an eye on towels and cards - don't lose them. For this you will pay a fine of $50.
9. EXCURSION. For those who are afraid to travel far (Cairo, Mount Moses, Luxor, Petra, etc. ), you can organize excursions around the place. These are: a trip to Ras Mohammed with diving on a glass bottom yacht (not recommended during a storm and for those who are severely motion sick), a trip to about. Tiran - also with scuba gear, a trip to the desert on quad bikes and dinner with Bedouins (carefully dust, not recommended for colds and people with asthma), the old city (souvenir market). All excursions from $40 and up per person.

ADVICE AND RECOMMENDATIONS. Before traveling to Egypt, do not be lazy and study the literature related to the customs and customs of this country. It will not be superfluous to say that you are going to a Muslim country, so respect the religious feelings of people and do not wear revealing clothes both in the hotel (all male employees) and outside. This applies to women. Revealing clothing is only allowed on the beach. More about fish, corals and drugs - there is a lot of information on the Internet about this. Remember that the export of corals (even in souvenirs), exotic fish and drugs from the country threatens you with a prison sentence.
Assess your health and take all the necessary medicines with you: for poisoning, for allergies, for sunburn, for coral burns, antipyretics, antispasmodics, for indigestion and for digestion, for acute gastritis and pancreatitis, activated charcoal, manganese, antiseptics, bandages, adhesive plasters, cotton wool, specialized medicines, if you need them. Prepare for the fact that in a medical case, you will most likely have to act on your own.
