Stayed in October 2018. The hotel is not 5 * that's for sure, the maximum that can be given is 4 * with a very strong stretch.
- HOTEL -
A typical hotel designed for mass service of a large flow of customers, because of which everything suffers - from the level of service to the quality of the rooms. We were seated immediately as we arrived around 11:00 am. Wifi is slow and only at reception. There are enough pools and they are clean. I liked the sunbeds - enough for everyone, light, comfortable, mobile, clean enough. The territory is well-groomed, a lot of greenery, you can see that they are cleaning (I didn’t see any garbage), the landscape design is excellent. There is a small water park - enough for both adults and children. Lots of families with kids. There are a lot of people - be prepared for the fact that this is not a safe haven for you. 20% are foreigners (Germans, Poles, Italians), 80% are ours (Ukrainians, Belarusians, Russians). There are many summer terraces where you can smoke a cigarette and drink something. In the evenings competitions "the best couple of the hotel", "belly dancing" on the beach, "macarena" from the musicians on the terrace and half-drunk dancing, as well as other slag for the masses.

- SERVICE -
The service is the worst thing about this hotel. Forget that someone will help you. Everyone absolutely does not care about your problems and questions. They look at you with bored, tired faces as if they were another piece of meat that has ALREADY paid for everything, and therefore there is no point in straining to serve you normally. Russian is understood only at the reception, and then with great difficulty, if they can still understand you, then they can hardly say something - it turns out some kind of mess, you have to paraphrase in English with which they are doing better. All other staff can only communicate with gestures, typical Russian phrases or in English, which they know at the BME level.
By the way, about the language and attitude towards customers, I noticed that if you behave politely, smile and speak English, then relatively speaking you will wait for the promised service or stand in line for a very long time, but if you come up and rudely bark something in Russian, then waiters and bartenders suddenly wake up, start fussing and babbling something in the style of “call my brother” pouring a cocktail with shaking hands. All this is of course a terrible sadness. Whoever needs it will understand me.
If you are counting on a guide from a tour operator, you can immediately forget about it and forget the guide himself. You will see him only once during the first meeting at the hotel, where you will hear about discounts in stores only now and only for you, that excursions are his bread and that if you take it into your head to take an excursion “on the street”, then this is a direct way to abyss of hell I think that the guide appears in the most extreme cases, in other cases, rely only on yourself and do not waste time looking for him or calling on the rail.
- ROOM -

Room (standard) old and shabby, 3*. It can be seen that once very long ago in the time of the dinosaurs, perhaps it was a good number. But the repairs were carried out haphazardly and without much strain - somewhere smeared, somewhere greased, somewhere in general, as if with a scoop, it was painted over stupidly on top, the switches have not changed at all since they were built in 2006, they turned yellow from old age and hang on snot. The sockets are as old as the switches, just a little less broken. There was a small hole in the ceiling in the hallway. The hotel worker with a moronic smile on his face told me that this was additional ventilation. The air conditioning system is built into the walls, which is probably why there is always a slight hum in the room, regardless of whether the air conditioner is turned on or not. The furniture is exactly the same as the room itself - old and shabby. There is a safe (free of charge), for the opening of which it was necessary to call an employee, because according to the instructions it was impossible to open it. In the bathroom, the same picture - smeared / smeared, somewhere these putties began to fall off, there are minimal shower accessories, the plumbing was in good order. On the balcony there is a table and two shabby wicker chairs. But the hardest thing is the lock on the front doors - almost every day they went to change the keys because they simply stopped opening the lock. A similar problem was not only with us, because other guests with the exact same problem approached the reception with me several times, how many of them approached at other times, one can only guess. They did not change the number because they saw that all the standard rooms are the same as ours.
- RESTAURANTS and FOOD -
There are two main restaurants, one of them is for adults only, the buffet food system is in fact a canteen with broken-down, stained containers for dishes, turmoil and pandemonium. The adult canteen is quieter, the smell of the kitchen is less noticeable and the interior is a little better. The food is normal, but the menu almost did not change, which is why at the end of the holiday this “variety” began to become clearly annoying. There are three a la carte restaurants - Italian, Arabic and Asian cuisine. According to the all-inclusive system, you can go once to one of the restaurants, you will have to pay for the rest of the visits. But it turned out that these restaurants are not so easy to get into. At the restaurant they told me that I need to book a table at the reception, at the reception they said that I need to order through the self-service terminal, the terminal did not show me the date of the visit and I went to the reception for help, where the employee still arranged a table for me and printed out a piece of paper that I had to present in the restaurant itself as a confirmation of the table reservation (I wonder if I had booked a table through the terminal, would I have to draw this piece of paper by hand? . . ). In general, the impression is that everything is done so that as few people as possible go to these restaurants (which, however, is not surprising). There are bars near the pools - where you can get juices / water, cocktails, a small snack.
- BEACH -

The beach is sandy, relatively clean - lone cigarette butts and small debris are present, but generally tolerable, there are trash cans, and ashtrays near umbrellas. The entrance to the sea is gentle. Everywhere is very shallow (maximum knee-deep) except for a small area cleared of corals, where you can fully swim. Coral slippers, in principle, are not needed if you are not going to make kilometer walks on coral reefs. If you want to dive, then you are on the pier. Umbrellas are built into the sand, metal with a wicker top, sun loungers are the same as near the pools - comfortable and light. There are several points for issuing towels on the territory of the hotel, incl. right next to the beach. There are two bars on the beach - the assortment is the same as in the bars near the pools in the hotel.
- RESULTS -
In general, the hotel gave the impression of being a Soviet sanatorium only in a modern way - a lot of people, standard entertainment, careless service or no service at all, barely tolerable quality of the rooms.
We saw other hotels nearby - at least outwardly worse, with dirty beaches, bald umbrellas and massive old wooden sunbeds with dirty pillows. So our hotel is probably not the worst option yet. Therefore, we can conclude in general about the level of recreation in Egypt - namely, that the level, to put it mildly, is not very good and you have to try very hard to find a hotel that would correspond to its stars.
So…
I do not advise you to go to this hotel - if you value quality and comfort, if you want to get the quality and comfort for which you paid money, you are looking for a calm and comfortable hotel without crowds of people that lives up to its stars, with respectful attitude of the staff towards you.
You can go to this hotel - if you are an undemanding tourist in terms of comfort and service, a lover of a standard trivial vacation, who is used to standard cultural events, if you are on such a vacation for the first time or in general for the first time on vacation abroad. It is also a relatively good option if you are eating with a great company, then all the unpleasant moments and inconsistencies will probably not be so conspicuous.
