We rested in this hotel as a family with two children - 7 years old and 4 years old from 09/01/2018 to 09/12/2018.
So, in the course of the recall, the pros will smoothly mix with the cons. The trip from the airport to the hotel by bus took no more than 20 minutes. Despite such proximity to the airport, we did not notice the noise from constantly flying planes. We arrived at the hotel at two in the afternoon. At the reception we were politely advised to go to dinner while our room was being prepared. So we did. Returning from lunch, we immediately settled safely in exactly the same room that we ordered when booking - Pool View on the ground floor with two large beds in the immediate vicinity of the pool. Nobody had to pay anything. The room was very nice - large and bright. Slightly worn furniture did not cause us any negative, on the contrary, it gave a feeling of some vintage. All appliances in the room worked properly. The beds have solid mattresses, nothing creaks, rattles or sags. Bed linen is clean and changed regularly. The balcony is spacious with a clothes dryer, a table and two chairs. On TV, you can watch several popular channels in Russian, Ukrainian, English, etc. languages. The room also has a safe. The mini-bar was only a liter bottle of water and the same Pepsi. The porter told us that both water and Pepsi were replenished daily for free. Being a lover of whiskey with Pepsi, I doubted this and went to clarify this issue at the reception. As I expected, Pepsi in the minibar is free only on the day of arrival. The bathroom is equipped with a large washbasin, large mirror, shower, toilet and bidet, hairdryer, clean towels. All plumbing looks brand new. Never had a problem with hot water. There is no toothpaste and brushes - we were ready for this. You can buy them at the hotel, but why pay more - take them with you (unfortunately, in Egypt you encounter this all the time - we write it off as a local feature). Shower gel, shampoo and soap were provided and replenished regularly. If suddenly they were forgotten to change, one phone call to Room Service and they were immediately brought.
The hotel is beautiful despite being quite old. Very large and beautiful area. Very large pools in a convenient location. Moreover, swimming in both pools is pleasant for both children and adults. One pool is equipped with two slides, from which it is very fun to ride (unfortunately, these slides worked only twice a day - a couple of hours before lunch and a couple of hours after), it also has a fairly spacious children's area where the smallest can splash - from 2 years. The second pool is a great place for adult vacationers to relax, because. has a solid depth and is located in a quieter place. This pool also has a separate children's area, where the fun is guaranteed for slightly older children.... I would say from 3 years old. Sun loungers are plentiful at both pools, however, if you don't take your seat in the sun before 9-10 am, then it's almost certain that someone else will do it for you. Each pool has one bar. We'll talk more about bars below. The way to the beach takes an average of 10-12 minutes. The beach is located on a steep slope, and the descent is paved with wooden pavements. It should be noted that this path is rather tedious; you are unlikely to want to visit the beach more than twice a day. Due to the fact that the design of the beach is a rather complex engineering structure, there is a serious shortage of places for sun loungers, as well as sun loungers themselves. The beach is closed until 8 am. After 8 am, free sun loungers are hard to come by. However, the latter did not depress us, because. sunbathing on this beach is pure suicide - the sun brightly illuminates it throughout the daylight hours and it is unlikely that you can hide from it under an umbrella (umbrellas, of course, are). We just left towels on the shore near the pontoon and went swimming. Children will love to chase the fish in the shallow water on the sides of the pontoon. Only you need to do this not barefoot, but in crocs or special shoes that you can buy inexpensively at the hotel. Sometimes, at low tide, the water leaves a little, it becomes very shallow and you no longer drive the fish - because of which young children immediately lose interest in the sea. This did not stop us, we took inflatable rings and bathed the children in the deep-water part, where we swam with pleasure ourselves. The reef is beautiful, fish of all kinds are in abundance. The depth at the edge of the pontoon is immediately 7-10 meters. The water in the sea is very warm, as always. The water in the pools, by the way, is just as warm for both children and adults (at least in September).

So, at each pool and on the beach there is a bar where you can drink something refreshing, alcoholic or non-alcoholic, as well as tea and coffee. At certain hours, all these bars offer ice cream - quite tasty. Bars by the pools and on the beach are open from 10 to 18:00. Alcoholic drinks are available from 11:00. Soft drinks, I think, without exception, are diluted powdered juices (of good quality), also Schweppes tonic (bottled, real), Pepsi, Mirinda, 7Up. From alcohol - beer, whiskey, gin, rum, white and red wine. A little about beer: it is offered either bottled (Stella) or draft. I didn’t like the bottled one, you can only drink it very well chilled, and there are difficulties with this, either it is initially not cold enough, or it heats up rapidly while you drink. With draft beer, unfortunately, there were constant interruptions - either it is there, or it is not. But the quality of draft beer has always been on top. In general, when there was a problem with beer, I drank gin and tonic with ice, whiskey with pepsi or pure with ice, rum with pepsi with ice - these goodies are always in abundance and all of them are of good quality. The staff of the bar on the beach should have been more friendly and smiling, otherwise the feeling that you were begging for something from them did not leave. But the guys at the bars by the pools worked flawlessly, and even willingly delivered drinks to the sun loungers, however, sometimes you had to wait for them and doubt if they forgot about you. I personally preferred to carry drinks from the bar myself.
There is also a bar in the hotel lobby. This bar is open from 13:00 to 24:00 and offers all the same things that we talked about above. Yes, there are small queues at the bars. It didn't bother me.
And I would like to say a few words about one more bar that I liked the most - Ascot bar, also located in the hotel lobby. This bar opens at 20:00 in the evening. There is already a dress code in casual smart style, that is, it is unacceptable to come there in flip flops or shorts. There are tables, like in a classic pub, and chairs at the bar. From 8 pm to 24:00 this bar offers a variety of free cocktails on the menu, cold excellent beer. After 24:00 drinks are already on a paid basis. A great place to spend an evening in the right atmosphere. By the way, here you can also buy already chilled liter bottles of Pepsi for reasonable money))) After all, whiskey bought in Duty Free is cooled in our room)))) Special thanks to the bartender of the Ascot bar for impeccable service.
Next is the main restaurant and food. Here I will be laconic. The food is quite tasty and quite varied. I would only like to give valuable advice - do not rush to type, walk around, take a closer look, and you will definitely find something that will especially please you, both for lunch and dinner. We were pleasantly surprised to accidentally find creamy garlic sauce, mayonnaise, walnut garlic paste and much more, which, it turns out, were always in abundance literally under our noses, and we did not notice them at first - and all this went well, both with fish and vegetables, as well as with chicken, beef, etc. Breakfast is quite standard. At breakfast, it was annoying to stand in line for 5 minutes for an omelette, as well as the slowness of the guy who fried fried eggs with fried eggs. Everything else is good. There is a children's menu. Feeding the children was not a problem. But, by the way, we have never seen toothpicks on the tables. But they were brought to us once upon request. Paper napkins sometimes appear at breakfasts, we have seen them several times in 11 days - serving cloth ones are offered instead, which is unusual.

The hotel has two A-la-carte restaurants - a Lebanese and a traditional fast food restaurant. I would not recommend them to visit - it will definitely not be tastier than in the main restaurant. There is also a Mandarin restaurant... We did not visit it... But it seems they cook sushi there and, perhaps, something of Chinese cuisine for a fee. The sushi looked pretty good. We haven't tried.
Animation. The hotel has about 5-6 animators (girls and guys). I would rate their work as a C, but, nevertheless, they added to the treasury of the general good mood.
It so happened that on the 5th day of our stay at the hotel, our youngest son fell ill. The temperature rose - 39, vomiting and other unpleasant symptoms began. We needed to understand what exactly to treat him for and what exactly - a virus or bacteria (antiviral or antibiotic). In jeopardy was an excursion on a yacht, for which money had already been paid. Here I would like to sincerely thank the hotel administrator Olga, who helped us contact our insurance company, then arranged for us to see the doctor at the hotel, who gave us the correct diagnosis and prescribed treatment. Olga also organized for us the delivery of all the drugs prescribed by the doctor. The preparations were bought and brought to our hotel. The doctor personally gave the child a course of injections and monitored his condition daily. It should be noted that this same doctor tried to ask us for $ 30 for a second appointment, however, the wonderful Olga quickly settled this issue and we did not have to pay anything to anyone. She explained to us that the doctor himself would contact our insurance company and resolve all financial issues with them regarding our treatment. Another more experienced doctor also came to examine the child and double-check the diagnosis of his younger colleague. Olga, thank you very much again. Nevertheless, we safely got on the yacht with the whole family already two days before departure - for this special thanks to the guide Walid (Nefer Tur company), who reorganized this excursion for us.
The only, greasy minus of the hotel, which reminded of itself daily, was the smell of sewage in the bathroom in the room. Either this is a sewerage problem, or all the walls, the floor are really pissed off and they are saturated with it....And this is against the background of visual purity and well-being. But this did not spoil our rest in any way - a little perfume dissolved in the air, "and your mood has improved"))))

Oh yes.... The hotel has Wi-Fi only in the Lobby. Free. Very poor quality. With difficulty, even the simplest messages can be sent to WhatsApp. I strongly recommend buying a local Vodafone SIM card at the airport upon arrival or in the city for $10-11.
Summarizing the hotel as a whole, I will say that the hotel is good, worth a visit. There are flaws, but how to deal with them is up to you. Ideal for families with children and couples in love. Ardent party-goers are definitely not here. And even if here, then you can take a taxi and safely go to hang out from the hotel to the city))
