Vacationing in Egypt for the first time. We traveled as a family (with children 6 and 10 years old). We chose the hotel based on reviews on the Internet, so I decided to write about my impressions of the trip, maybe it will come in handy for someone. Everything I read in the reviews when choosing a hotel turned out to be true. The hotel is very comfortable, one might even say homely.
The first impression is the smell: a mixture of aromas of many flowers, which are planted with almost the entire territory of the hotel. Of course, these are strong emotions - summer, greenery, music (which, by the way, is absolutely not stressful and rather neutral, there is no feeling of "swotting", the music goes on as if in the background, if you wish, you can listen to it, and in the absence of such, you can easily ignore it ), well, as I said, a chic floral scent. Considering that we flew from Omsk and the temperature was +6, then my emotions can be understood.
We had paid for a standard room, but we were settled in a family room without any requests and $, because they themselves decided so at the reception. Literally within 10-15 minutes they brought an extra bed for a child (although we were warned at the agency that in Egypt it’s not like in Turkey, and only one extra bed is required for two children).

I will not describe what is described in other reviews, as I said - everything is the same. I will write those moments that I liked and which not so much.
Liked:
1) it’s good that all 5* services (Laguna Vista Beach) are available for 4 *, except for the main restaurant. For the first 3 days we went to 5 * and spent time there (by the way, it’s quite easy to find free sunbeds, especially by the sea), but then we somehow got fed up, because it is more active, and in 4 * you can just " to make a loaf" (for which we actually went, because
in ordinary life the bustle is "above the roof"), at 4 * life is quiet and measured, periodically animators offer all kinds of exercises (water aerobics, etc. ), to which "3 cripples" respond (sorry, if I offended anyone, this is the term such, nothing personal). In general, in 4 * complete relaxation, and all active activities are in 5 *.
2) good attitude. I read in the reviews that the attitude towards Russians in Laguna is worse than towards foreigners, we personally did not feel this in any way, everything was OK. Moreover, what struck me: we went by taxi to the water park, agreed with the taxi driver (Zidane, in the parking lot near the hotel) for $ 20 there and back. When we went there, he tried to say something in broken English about $ 20 right away, we realized that he was scamming us so that we would give him the money, and at 5 pm, as agreed, he came for us and took us back. We go tense, we think "fuck you ... ", we will give 10 there, and 10 when we arrive back. So what would you think!

On the contrary, he did everything, dropped us off and does not take money, says that I will arrive at 17, take him away, and then you will give me 20. We were stunned, this is not our rush, where the majority of taxi drivers are trying to heat up to the maximum. So he left, and we stand oh ...and we think "I drove it and dumped it, because if we were less decent, at 16 we would have dumped from the water park or at 21 and could easily throw it. In general, it certainly captivates. Merchants also practice this: no money - take the goods, bring them later, and some even say - take the goods, if there is no money, money on the next visit.
3) few Russians, many foreigners. Do not take it for a swell, I am a very philanthropic comrade, but I always feel a sense of some embarrassment when our ardently beloved compatriots, having drunk heavily on free drinks, begin to burage and disgrace all Russians in the aggregate.
Personally, I have nothing against drinkers, but I myself can’t drink without measure, and therefore I don’t do it. I think so: if you know how to drink - to your health, if you don’t know how - please go home so that others don’t have to blush for you. So what am I talking about? BUT! The absence of a large number of Russians minimized the likelihood of such incidents, which is nice. It is possible that the good attitude towards Russians in Laguna is a consequence of the fact that Russians go there in the most positive way. On our visit there were very cool guys from Perm and from the north, who know how to drink, very sociable and pleasant in all respects, so the best memories of them remained.
Did not like:
2) hotel guide. I explain: we went through Pegasus (no complaints - everything is clear), Tamara was our guide. The bus guide made an appointment for us with Tamara the next day at 17:00 at the reception, that is, in a day.

We, like decent five minutes to seventeen, came to the reception and, in fact, sat for 45 minutes in splendid isolation, asking the Egyptian who did not understand anything in Russian, "Where is the guide? ". The next morning at the Russian-speaking girl Irina (by the way, a huge thank you to her - for any requests, an instant reaction, I so wanted to thank her somehow, but they didn’t come up with anything good, but money as locals is somehow not human, in general, somehow here we "lohanulsya ") found out that Tamara "lives" in 5 *. We found her, we say "so and so", and she "Yes, I know that four were supposed to come" and that's it. So, forgive me, you didn’t ask why they didn’t actually come. In general, she tried to sell us excursions and we never saw or heard from her again. Generally guide - no.
3) clingy Egyptian men.
Actually, it's not a secret for anyone that there is such a topic in Egypt, but what struck (unpleasantly) that everything is done in such a way that there is nothing to show in fact. For example, some touches (to the arm, leg and other more interesting parts of the body) and all the pancake, as if by chance, in between times. If I had stuck directly, I would have received a legitimate response, but here it’s somehow disgusting, vulgar. Generally FU. After such findebobers, I asked my husband to go everywhere with me.
4) there was another "unpleasant moment". In 4 * with sunbeds a little more stressful than in 5 *. "Trump" places need to be occupied in the morning (we woke up at 6-7 and started the morning exactly with this, which for us, in general, was not tense, because the time difference was 4 hours and according to our native time it was already 10-11 in the morning, we were already waking up ourselves). But once there was such a situation: near the pool with a jacuzzi, 3 sunbeds and a wicker sunbed were occupied in the morning.
We went for breakfast, we arrive, and our towels are neatly shifted from the sunbeds to the braided line, and on the sunbeds 3 bourgeois with books recline with absolutely satisfied packs. I don’t be or me in English, I explain on my fingers that they say how could you do such an ugly thing, and in complete shock they babble something to me about Sevan Day. In short, we spat on this matter, we wanted to move somewhere away from the "mean Englishmen", but it is natural that at 8 o'clock there were no free 4 places. We found and dragged one sunbed and spent the whole day on the wickerwork, mothering in the soul entih book lovers. These bourgeois, after our morning demonstration performance (on the fingers), quickly dumped somewhere, and in the evening I saw how they “rubbed” about something with a guy from the staff who gives out towels.

So here’s the conclusion: I think he paid this guy to “book” these places for them in the morning, so as not to run around in the morning in search of sun loungers, but he apparently “fucked up” that day and didn’t come up with anything better, how to throw our towels on a braided line, maybe it will carry over, then you have to work off the $. In general, be that as it may, he (the boy entot) picked up a little day, well, the bourgeois probably too.
But in general, these are all such trifles that, in general, you should not pay attention to. The hotel is awesome - clean, comfortable, tasty - a solid five, great for a family vacation. By the way, our friends at the same time were resting in the top five nearby (I won’t name the hotel so as not to engage in anti-advertising) and we regularly met “outside the perimeter” and visited their hotel from the sea (they had a room almost by the sea, and along the coast you can it is free to walk past all the hotels, because
there is a concrete road along which they ride bicycles and other moving mechanisms), we naturally discussed what someone has, what someone does not have, and so Laguna was confidently in the lead in terms of price - quality, and service and food are definitely better in Laguna and on my taste appearance too. Therefore, I described the shortcomings, so for the overall picture, because aware means armed, so that readers are ready even for such trifles so that your vacation is not overshadowed by anything.
We didn’t go on excursions much (the children are still small), we went on a boat with a transparent bottom (so-so), but we went to a wild beach with pleasure (they write about it in the reviews), friends went on an excursion to Tiran Island, they say that fish it’s no worse here, we fed them bread (quietly, the caretakers swear, they say that they can bite, there such gadzillas fly on bread from half an arm, parrot fish, no one bit us, but they tried to snatch bread from our hands, personally I I watched the masked shores as the men were doing this under water), but most likely this shop will be closed soon, because the hotel will open there in a month (first it will be 5 *, and then, when everything is completed it will be 7 *, the name is Luse tiran sharm (I found the link http://www. gtahotels. com/hotels/louis_tiran_sharm_hotel_sharm_el_sheikh.

htm, though everything is in English and there are no pictures) I would go there - the sea is just super, and the hotel is not being built in the Egyptian style, but looks more like Europe, I think that the price tag for the opening should be low (while the promotion is going on), but the jambs will also have to be purely technical, because everything is new.
I also really liked the water park (Peak Albatross Hotel). This trip is not offered as an excursion, I don’t remember where they learned from (in my opinion, our friends heard it somewhere). From the hotel by taxi $ 20 round trip (at the reception for 30 offer, do not take it, went out onto the road, took a wheelbarrow and bargain), go for 20-30 minutes (did not spot). Entrance $30 adult, $20 child. Food and drinks are taken at the entrance (although they are also given chilled in the refrigerator at the exit), but there is a place to eat on the territory, by the way, the portions are huge and the prices are normal.
34 slides for every taste, both for children and adults, special rugs (so that swimsuits do not remain on the hill), there are slides where not on rugs, but on inflatable bells and whistles (like stiubes, I don’t know what they are called) roll down. In general, we did not regret that we went, a cool water park.
In general, the hotel is good, we are completely satisfied, and the climate in Egypt is milder compared to Turkey. I have thoughts next time to come here with my parents.
